"Although I know it sounds silly to risk it all for a few packs of sanitary pads, it would be great if I could bring some back," Albe looked at Li Fat, saying with great anticipation. "Of course, you don't know how uncomfortable it is without sanitary pads. I curse you to be women in your next life!"
"In fact, I also think we should go to the supermarket across the street," Si Yao adjusted his glasses and continued, "Although our phones are unusable, the TV and radio should still work. I just saw a small TV on the wall of the supermarket. I think it's the best way for us to understand the current situation."
"I also agree to go to the supermarket across the street, because..."
Before Tony could finish, Li Fat interrupted him.
"You just don't want to keep eating bread anymore."
"Ha ha, my parents gave me life, and the fatso understands me."
Although Yan Zekun didn't speak, his expression suggested he didn't oppose going to the small supermarket across the street.
"Alright, we can go to the small supermarket, but not all of us. We don't know if the two people in the supermarket are friends or enemies. Moreover, the KTV is our base, where we have stored a lot of water. We can't easily abandon it," Li Fat compromised.
Everyone nodded, reaching a consensus on this point.
"Since we are only five people now, two will go and three will stay. Even if something happens to the two who go, the ones at home can provide support," Li Fat said after some consideration.
"I'll go!" Tony volunteered, raising his hand.
"Um, the two people across the street are British. It would be more appropriate for Tony to go. But you should stay at home. I and Yan Zekun will go," Li Fat changed his tone halfway through, deciding to go with Yan Zekun.
"Huh? Damn! Are you kidding me?" Tony's face was full of displeasure.
"Tony, just listen to the fatso. If you go, no one will protect us," Albe guessed Li Fat's thoughts and helped to persuade Tony to stay.
Although Yan Zekun had saved him once today, Li Fat still didn't feel comfortable leaving him with two people who had almost no fighting ability. If something happened to Albe and Si Yao, it would be regrettable. This was why he insisted that Tony stay.
"Alright, since my beautiful and gentle Miss Albe asks me to stay, I'll take responsibility for your safety! Yes, and Si Yao's too. But, fatso, remember to bring back some good food. And don't forget Miss Albe's sanitary pads," Tony had to compromise when Albe said that.
"Don't call me Miss, call me a woman..."
"Um, what should I call you?"
"Nothing... It's just like in '100,000 Cold Jokes' where someone can't help but say '100% caught a blade with bare hands.'"
"Alright, Miss Albe."
Ignoring Tony's antics, Li Fat observed the situation outside.
The zombies attracted by the fire alarm had dispersed but were still around the KTV and the small supermarket. As long as they were fast enough, there shouldn't be much danger.
Yan Zekun, holding a tennis racket, also came to the door. Seeing he was ready, Li Fat gently opened the door and threw the key to Albe.
He made a few gestures to the other side, and they seemed to understand Li Fat's meaning. Seeing the OK sign from the other side, Li Fat checked his watch and quietly opened the door, stepping out.
June 11th, 3:00 PM.
Fourteen hours after the apocalypse, Li Fat took the first step out of the KTV.

The two quickly rushed to the door of the small supermarket. Although the noise they made attracted a few zombies, Li Fat waved his hand, and several pieces of fatty pork flew out.
The zombies immediately changed direction, scrambling to grab the food. They even pushed and shoved each other, making quite a commotion.
The door of the small supermarket opened a crack, and the two quickly slipped inside.
Finally, they had a chance to get a close look at the two British people.
The blonde girl in the white dress looked good, probably due to makeup, but her natural appearance was less clear. However, her figure was very well-proportioned, clearly someone who often went to the gym. She had the right curves in all the right places, something Chinese girls generally found hard to achieve.
The boy was not very tall, about 1.7 meters. He had brown hair and was dressed in black. He had ear piercings, nose piercings, and lip piercings, giving him a punk look. He looked young, probably around 18 or 19.
Both seemed friendly, if you ignored the weapons in their hands. The girl held a kitchen knife, and the boy had a simple crossbow!
"Thank you! If it weren't for you yesterday, we might have died," the boy put away his crossbow and extended his right hand to Li Fat.
"It was the right thing to do," Li Fat said, shaking the boy's hand.
Seeing the two Asians staring at his weapon, the boy waved the crossbow.
"It's the owner's. It looks cool, but I haven't used it yet."
After the four shook hands, the awkwardness of their first meeting eased a bit. Although Yan Zekun was curious about how Li Fat had saved these foreigners, he didn't ask since Li Fat didn't mention it.
"I'm Li Fat, and he's Yan Zekun."
Li Fat gave a brief introduction.
"I'm Alex, nice to meet you." Alex was the punk boy.
"I'm Michelle. Have you eaten? We have plenty of food, please don't be shy," the blonde girl said, her name the same as the former First Lady of the United States.
Since the hosts were so welcoming, Li Fat didn't hesitate, and he and Yan Zekun gathered two large bags of food.
"Sorry for taking so much, we have five people," Li Fat said, a bit embarrassed.
Then Li Fat leaned close to Michelle's ear.
"Can you give me two packs of sanitary pads? I don't know where they are placed."
Li Fat didn't say that he had looked up the term "sanitary pads" on his phone, not knowing what they were called.
"Ha... Of course, no problem. I saw you have a girl."
Michelle handed a few packs of sanitary pads to Li Fat and then continued, "Have you seen what's on TV? It's crazy!"
Alex picked up the remote from the counter and turned on the TV on the wall.
"It's been replaying non-stop since noon. You probably haven't seen it yet?"
