Chapter 26

"Boss hasn't come back yet. Could something have happened to him?" A Turk with long eyelashes, just like Arthur, asked his companion.

"Boss has a gun, there's no way anything could happen to him. He probably just didn't want to travel at night after finishing up. He'll be back tomorrow!" Another white British man, holding a cold roasted chicken leg, said while munching on it. "Hehe, you know what, this Nando's chicken is pretty good even when it's cold!"

During the day, Aivard's group split into two teams. One team, led by Aivei, went to investigate the source of the fire alarm. The other team, led by Aivard himself, cleared the zombies around Wonderland.

Yesterday afternoon, they not only found some food but also nailed the back door of Wonderland from both inside and outside to prevent zombies from suddenly breaking in.

Wonderland is located at the end of the entire bar street, and next to it are restaurants like Nando's, which provided great convenience for Aivard's group to obtain food.

"Mike, aren't you going to eat? These things won't last long, it's a waste to throw them away..."

"Yeah, I can't eat. I'm worried about Arthur." Compared to Aivard, Mike was more concerned about his friend Arthur's safety.

"That fool, it's normal for him to die, and it's good luck if he survives. Instead of worrying about others, you should think about yourself." The man said, pointing to the nightclub's main hall. "There are several pretty girls in there."

"But they are Boss's women, they have nothing to do with us." Mike looked at the locked main hall door, feeling complicated.

Although he strongly opposed Aivard's actions, he didn't dare to raise any objections. After all, he relied on Aivard to survive.

"That's why I say you and Arthur are both fools. You're both so stupid!" The white man continued to gnaw on his chicken leg, looking down on Mike.

Seeing that Mike didn't respond, the white man burped and continued to analyze for Mike: "Aivei and those guys are probably in trouble. They must have been taken out by someone else! It's hard to say how many of the people Boss took will survive. When that happens, we two will be Boss's right-hand men. I'll be the Duke of Norwich, and you'll be the Duke of Great Yarmouth, hahaha."

The white man kept eating his chicken leg while fantasizing about a beautiful future.

"I don't know which one you like, but I'll tell you, that little girl is mine. She looks like she's not even eighteen, probably around fourteen or fifteen. I don't know where she got her ID card to sneak into the nightclub. Hehe, you know my taste. Apart from this little girl, you can pick any of the others." Charlie's entire demeanor exuded a creepy vibe.

Mike frowned, not wanting to deal with this person anymore.

If Aivard comes back tomorrow and the government doesn't send anyone to rescue Norwich, should he really continue to follow Aivard?

Most Turks are Muslim, and what Aivard is about to do touches on Mike's moral底线.

Seeing that Mike wasn't responding, Charlie cursed him in his heart as a fool and continued to gnaw on his chicken leg.

In his view, he still had a long way to go with Aivard. In the future, he would never be able to eat such delicious things again.

Eat as much as you can now, so you don't forget what it tastes like later. The white man grabbed a beer and gulped down a few mouthfuls, feeling refreshed.

Just as the two were silent, the locked main hall door was knocked on a few times.

The white man cursed and threw the chicken bone aside, picking up a baseball bat and walking over.

"Knock, knock, are you trying to attract zombies? I'll show you tomorrow..."

Mike also picked up a baseball bat, hesitated for a moment, and followed.

Watching the large waves of zombies wandering aimlessly outside the window, Li Fat yawned out of boredom. Afraid of dozing off again, Li Fat lit another Yuxi cigarette.

"Give me one too." The rugged stranger got up and said to Li Fat.

Seeing that he was asking for a cigarette, Li Fat threw the Yuxi and lighter over to him.

"Zippo, very nice, and this cigarette is good too." He smoked the Yuxi and played with the lighter.

"My name is Li, what's yours?" Li Fat asked as he caught the returned cigarette and lighter.

"Richard, Richard Ramirez." Richard exhaled a smoke ring and said.

"Richard, you only slept for four hours." Li Fat looked at his watch and said.

"Four hours is enough. You only dozed off for a while too." Richard replied without looking up.

"From the way you handled that gun earlier, you must have used one before?"

Li Fat remembered how Richard had taken the gun from Tony, opened the safety, and completed the actions smoothly, much more proficiently than himself.

"Yeah, I used to be in the army. That's a good gun, a Glock 17S with a manual safety, did you get it from a cop?" Richard stared at Li Fat's pocket, where the gun was.

"Yeah. No wonder, your skills show you've been trained. Are you from Norwich?" Li Fat nodded and asked.

"I'm from Great Yarmouth. A former comrade from UEA's gym invited me to Norwich for a few days. I didn't expect the train to... break down halfway."

Great Yarmouth is about a thirty-minute drive from Norwich.

"Break down halfway? How did you get here?"

"I saw the people in the carriage turn into zombies and escaped. I followed the railway tracks, thinking things would be better in Norwich, but I almost got caught at the train station. There were zombies as far as the eye could see, even more than outside the door."

Richard gestured and extinguished the cigarette butt.

"Walked all the way to Norwich? And managed to escape from those zombies? You're pretty impressive." Li Fat said admiringly.

"Compared to the training in the army, this is nothing. What are your plans next? Were you heading to the train station? Or somewhere else?"

"Train station? Forget it, I never want to go to a train station again, it was too terrifying." Li Fat paused, deciding to tell Richard about his group's plan.

"Yeah, you guys are quite compassionate... People like you won't last long."

Li Fat was about to say thanks, but hearing the second half of Richard's sentence, he cursed in his heart: Damn, this guy really doesn't know how to talk.
