Chapter 32

Although the people in the nightclub were fighting for their freedom, the two sides did not actually come to blows.

Because Li Fatty had a gun, and not just one but two. The way he was showing off, it seemed he had learned from the movies, like Brother Ah Fa.

The gun barrels, black and menacing, pointed at the white man, who instantly lost his earlier enthusiasm and took a few steps back, at a loss.

"It seems they have already saved themselves. We rushed over here for nothing. Sigh!" Tony sighed and said.

Regardless of whether Mike was safe for the moment, they had come to rescue him, but now they were treated as the bad guys. It was frustrating.

"Where's Mike!? What have you done to Mike!?" Arthur, without hesitation, rushed forward and grabbed the white man by the collar.

The group behind the white man was not pleased. However, due to the guns in Li Fatty's hands, they could only mutter a few words about letting go and did not dare to make any other moves.

"You mean the two who were watching us? One of them ran away, and the other was tied up," the white man said, looking at Arthur's fierce expression and having no choice but to tell the truth.

"Take me to see the one who was tied up!"

"Follow me." A pretty British girl told Arthur and led him upstairs.

The rest of the people still held their weapons tightly, not relaxing their vigilance at all.

In less than a minute, Arthur returned.

"The one who was captured is not Mike. He must have escaped," Arthur said, shaking his head. His premonition was accurate; something indeed happened last night!

"This might not be a bad thing. We can search the area this afternoon; we might still find him," Li Fatty patted Arthur's shoulder, trying to comfort him.

Arthur nodded and turned to look at the people who had once been imprisoned, with a complex expression. They had come to Wonderland believing in Edward, but they never expected him to be such a scoundrel.

Would these people, who had been deceived once, still trust them?

If at the beginning of the apocalypse, these people had not yet learned to be cautious, after just two days, they should have understood the unbreakable rule for survival in the apocalypse:

Do not easily trust others; your back can only be left to your most trusted companions.

The two sides were at an impasse. Li Fatty coughed a couple of times and put away his gun.

"I say, although things didn't go as we planned, fortunately, you saved yourselves."

After saying that, Li Fatty extended his hand to the white man, trying to show his friendliness.

"Hello, I'm Li Fatty, and these are my friends."

The white man's eyes were still full of suspicion, but he put down the baseball bat in his hand.

"Lily?" The white man did not shake Li Fatty's hand but called out to someone behind him.

Li Fatty's right hand was still extended, feeling a bit awkward.

As the white man spoke, a beautiful Chinese woman walked out from the back of the crowd.

"Hello, I'm Lily." Lily sized up the young, chubby man in front of her and smiled, shaking Li Fatty's awkward hand.

"I say..."

At this moment, Richard walked in, leaned against the door, and took a puff of his Yuxi cigarette.

"Are they friends or enemies? Should we stay or leave?"

*************

At Lily and Li Fatty's signal, both sides put away their weapons.

"It seems there were many misunderstandings. I believe you have a lot to tell everyone," Lily said with a smile to Li Fatty.

"Yes, we are also curious about how you saved yourselves," Li Fatty replied with a smile.

Richard closed the nightclub's door, wrapped it with a chain, and leaned against the door to continue smoking.

The rest of the people gathered in the nightclub's front hall. There were only two sofas, which were probably used by Mike and Charlie before.

Li Fatty and Lily sat on the two sofas, while the others formed a circle, either sitting on the ground and stairs or leaning against the walls.

Li Fatty first told the others about what happened at the small supermarket yesterday.

How Edward's group discovered them through the fire alarm, how they fought the first wave of enemies and learned about Lily's group, and how, with Arthur's help, they managed to eliminate Edward's group. Then they encountered a large wave of zombies, which delayed their arrival until today.

After hearing Li Fatty's story, the people's minds were finally at ease. These people had come to save them, so they were not enemies. However, after the Edward incident, they would not easily trust anyone again. They were merely no longer hostile towards Li Fatty and his group.

Who knew if they would be the next Edward?

"Shouldn't you tell us what happened last night?" Li Fatty asked, staring at the woman in front of him.

It had to be said that a mature woman and a young, innocent girl were on completely different levels. The woman in front of him exuded a sense of nobility and charm in every gesture, and her breath, like the light touch of plum blossoms, was very soothing.

Her eyes, clear and bright, sparkled without the need for colored contacts, making her even more radiant. Although she was wearing a very revealing nightclub outfit, it did not give off a cheap feeling at all.

This woman, who could command the respect of this group, must have a strong personality.

Li Fatty realized he had been staring at her white, exposed thighs and quickly moved his neck to hide his embarrassment.

Lily looked at Li Fatty and smiled lightly, not saying anything. She subtly pulled down her dress and then detailed what had happened last night.

Let's go back to last night, after Mike and the other person left, the atmosphere in the hall was extremely desperate and suffocating.

"Truly, looking at someone through a keyhole makes them seem flat." Lily stood up and addressed the people gathered at the door.

The people looked at Lily with puzzled expressions. In their impression, these Chinese people were quite timid and fearful.

Their group was almost like pork on a chopping board, yet these Chinese people could still sit there calmly.

"Meaning, even a cornered rabbit will bite!" Lily called the other Chinese students to stand up and come to the front of the group.

"Should we just accept their threats and wait for our fate to be decided tomorrow?" Lily asked them, without any of her previous restraint.

"But..." a Japanese girl said timidly. "But we can't open this door, how can we escape? And the other side has many people, and they have guns!"

"I have been paying attention to the sounds outside the door. After dinner, there have only been the voices of these two people. The others are probably not there!" a Chinese student who looked like a top student said. "If there are only two of them, we don't need to be afraid with so many of us! There's a 99% chance we can take them down!"

"He's called Fang Qian, a super top student. His data is completely reliable," Lily said with a smile to everyone.

"Okay, even if there are only two of them, how do we get out of here? The internal stairs are locked, and the main door is chained," the British man who had been knocking on the door asked.

"There's so much alcohol here. Why don't we set the door on fire?" suggested a young man named Wang Can.
