Chapter 31

The journey was very smooth, encountering neither a large wave of zombies nor any living people.

Of course, when passing through the residential area, Li Fatty still had sharp eyes and noticed some situations. The curtains of a few houses were clearly pulled open by a slit.

Since the people inside did not obstruct or call for help, Li Fatty naturally would not meddle. There were still eighteen lives waiting for him to save, and he could not afford to waste a moment.

After passing through the residential area, they gradually entered the city center.

The usual hustle and bustle was nowhere to be seen, and everything had changed. Finally, the two vehicles slowly stopped in front of Wonderland.

Li Fatty looked at the sign of Wonderland and recalled the days of the past. This nightclub used to be called Project, but it changed its name and reopened a few months before Li Fatty's family fell into decline.

The new nightclub, with its numerous events, naturally attracted a large number of customers. Li Fatty was one of them. During this period, he and his friends drank bottle after bottle of Royal Salute, as if it were as easy as eating M&M's chocolate beans.

After his family's downfall, Li Fatty could no longer afford Royal Salute and distanced himself from his former friends.

Li Fatty understood that even if he wanted to continue playing with them, they would not take him along anymore. In today's society, money is everything.

A very simple truth.

Li Fatty shook his head, driving away the unpleasant memories.

There were some scattered zombies near Wonderland, and they gathered when they heard the sound of the car.

Li Fatty quickly got out of the car and joined the others in dealing with these zombies. Fortunately, most of the people were already familiar with fighting zombies, and it didn't take long to clear them out.

Seeing Arthur looking at him, Li Fatty nodded at him.

"Mike? Mike? It's Arthur!" Arthur took a few steps to the door, tapped on the glass door, and called out softly.

The nightclub's door was locked with some chains, and there was no response from inside.

After calling out a few more times, Arthur felt something was wrong. At this time, Mike should have been awake, so why was there no response?

"Did they go out to look for food?" Albe asked Arthur.

The rest of the people stood behind Arthur, while Richard leaned against the Land Rover, leisurely smoking a Yuxi.

"It's unlikely. Edward and the others collected enough food in this area yesterday. There are only two of them, so they wouldn't risk going out of the nightclub," Arthur said reasonably, but there was still no response from inside Wonderland.

"Maybe they guessed that Edward's group was finished and ran away?" Tony analyzed.

"I don't think so. There are only two of them; how could they survive in this zombie world? There's enough food in the nightclub. If I were them, I would choose to stay inside and not go anywhere," Si Yao said, adjusting his glasses.

Hearing everyone's words, the already anxious Arthur increased the force of his knocks and raised his voice.

Fortunately, there weren't many zombies nearby, so no trouble was caused.

Still, no one responded. As everyone looked at each other, Richard walked to the door and poked the lock with a wire, and the chain lock actually opened!

Richard made a "please" gesture and then returned to the Land Rover to continue smoking Yuxi.

"Does a soldier know how to do this?" Tony asked himself, looking at Richard.

"Probably a hobby," Li Fatty replied, as if possessed.

The two exchanged a glance, and decided, it was time to save people!

Li Fatty took out the pistol from his pocket, released the safety, and signaled everyone to be extra careful.

Tony, who had struggled all day to untangle the chains, walked to the side in a huff. The tangled chains, which Tony had made more complicated, were easily untangled by Si Yao, leaving Tony speechless.

"Three people walking together, one must be my teacher."

Tony's broken Chinese caused another round of laughter.

Li Fatty pushed open the nightclub's door and entered Wonderland first. The others followed, backing each other up like crabs entering the nightclub.

The sofas in the nightclub were scattered in the front hall, and the floor was littered with food and drinks, but there was no sign of anyone.

"Mike! Are you in there!? It's Arthur, are you there? Mike!" Arthur, walking behind Li Fatty, called out loudly.

With Richard outside, everyone didn't have to worry about zombies appearing and began to look around the nightclub.

The walls were deep blue, and the leather sofas, tall indoor pillars, elaborate and wide stairs, and the two large wooden doors of the hall all testified to the former luxury of the nightclub.

After all, Li Fatty had spent a few months here and was quite familiar with the nightclub.

A few steps ahead was a passage, and at the end of the passage was the main hall of the nightclub. This area usually gathered most of the young people. They continuously drank vodka, tequila, whiskey, and various bomb drinks, and when they were almost drunk, they would jump into the dance floor to dance.

Men and women, all kinds of people.

Men didn't mind the ugliness of women, and women didn't mind the groping.

Next to the passage was a very elaborate staircase.

To the right of the staircase was another passage, with many sofa booths along the side, specifically for people to rest after playing. As for where the passage led, Li Fatty wasn't quite sure, but it was probably the back door of the nightclub.

On the second floor, it was almost entirely connected to the first-floor hall. Even half of the second-floor floor was made of transparent glass, allowing a clear view of the first floor.

There were also many sofas here. After playing, one could rest and observe where the handsome men and beautiful women were on the first floor.

There were several internal staircases between the second and first floors. As long as the staircase doors were not locked, one could go directly between the floors. If the doors were locked, the large door at the end of the left passage became the only exit.

The third floor was a bar, where they usually played some soothing music. Sometimes the nightclub would invite some non-famous bands to perform some light music.

There were many tables and sofas on this floor, and the environment was relatively quiet. If one was tired of the noise on the first and second floors, the third floor was the best place to go.

Li Fatty thought to himself, could it be that Mike and the others were sleeping on the third floor, so they couldn't hear?

Just as he was thinking, Li Fatty arrived at the staircase, hesitating whether to save people in the hall first or go to the second and third floors to find Mike. Suddenly, footsteps came from the second floor. The number of people sounded no less than their own!

A tall white British man appeared at the top of the second-floor staircase, surrounded by a group of British and Asian people, about twenty in total.

One of the Japanese girls seemed to recognize Arthur and spoke a bunch of heavily accented Japanese English.

"They have brought reinforcements! Brothers! Today, either they die or we die! Let's get them!"

The white man raised a baseball bat, shouted, and charged down first.
