"Big Sister Lily, we haven’t joined Fat Li’s group, and we’ve also had a falling out with Tomes. What should we do next?" Wang Chan plopped down on the sofa, looking puzzled as he asked Lily.
In his view, joining Fat Li’s group was the wisest choice.
They had people and guns. Moreover, they had fought against the zombies and even defeated the Aivard group. From any perspective, they should join Fat Li’s group.
"Lily, based on my analysis, if we join Fat Li’s group, our chances of survival in this apocalypse would be twice as high as if we were with Tomes. And being with Tomes would be twice as good as our current situation where we’re not aligned with either side," Fang Qian said, though it was unclear how he calculated these odds.
"We were never part of Tomes’ group, so it doesn’t matter whether we had a falling out or not," Lily said to Wang Chan.
"We only gathered together to survive. Now that the enemy is gone, there’s no reason to stay together," Lily paused and continued.
"As for the probabilities you analyzed, many things aren’t laid out for you to analyze. We can’t just believe Fat Li based on his words. Alright, everyone, share your thoughts. Qiqi, what do you think?"
A girl who never spoke looked up and glanced at everyone.
"I’ll follow Big Sister Lily."
"What about you, Wang Zongze?" Lily asked a relatively quiet boy.
"I think we should observe Fat Li’s group a bit more. If there are no issues, joining them would indeed be the best idea."
Wang Zongze was from Hong Kong. When the incident happened, all his friends turned into zombies, leaving him alone. His Mandarin wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough for communication.
"Alright, Dongqing, what do you think?"
The little girl who Charlie had been eyeing looked at Lily and replied, "I’ll follow you."
"My thoughts align with Wang Zongze. Let’s observe them for a few days and make a decision before they leave," Lily finally shared her thoughts.
Wang Chan and Fang Qian exchanged glances and nodded in agreement.
On the third floor, Tomes and his group were also discussing something with grim faces.
**************
On the first floor, Fat Li and his four companions emptied their backpacks, preparing to bring back some food. After all, the team had grown to twelve people, and the previous food supplies were running low. They needed to maintain a two-day food reserve to handle emergencies.
"Here, take this." Fat Li handed a pistol to Tony and briefly taught him how to use the safety and aim.
Although Tony and Richard were there, Fat Li still felt uneasy. Giving the gun to Richard might have been more appropriate, but Fat Li ultimately trusted Tony more.
In the apocalypse, safety comes first, and it’s always better to be cautious.
Fat Li instructed Tony to teach the Japanese some survival basics and advised him to avoid the second and third floors as much as possible.
After all, Tony was a notorious womanizer. Fat Li was worried he might cause trouble after seeing Lily.
Splitting up would increase the chances of finding Mike, but Fat Li still chose to stay together. After all, more people meant more safety.
Everything was ready, and Fat Li opened the door to Wonderland. The five of them dealt with a few zombies that appeared out of nowhere and set off to the left.
The right side of Wonderland led to the train station. Fat Li believed that even in a panic, Mike would choose the left direction.
Even if he escaped the train station, he would enter the city center, where the large wave of zombies had gathered yesterday.
If Mike had gone to the right, his chances of survival would be slim. Moreover, searching the right side would be too difficult, so Fat Li’s group decided to abandon it.
The left side of Wonderland had many bars and restaurants. There was also a cinema, and further away, a large supermarket, Morrison’s.
Beyond the supermarket was the Norwich City Football Club’s stadium. Around the stadium were many modern high-end apartments, one of the best residential areas in Norwich.
Fat Li decided to search the shops and cinema near Wonderland today. If there was no success, they would head to Morrison’s tomorrow.
If there was still no success by tomorrow, they would discuss whether to try their luck in the high-end apartments.
There weren’t many zombies on the streets. For safety, they dealt with the zombies in pairs. Siyao collected items from the zombies at the back.
Besides cigarettes, lighters, watches, and other useful items, car keys were a priority.
Although they might not stay in Wonderland for long, Fat Li still planned to bring back several vehicles to create an open area in front of Wonderland.
This would help defend against zombies and provide a space for the team members to move around outdoors.
"I think if Mike managed to escape, he wouldn’t hide near Wonderland," Arthur said after killing a zombie.
"I agree. The longer it takes, the farther Mike might have gone," Alex added.
"Alright, we’ll search these shops near Wonderland when we return. For now, let’s head to the cinema." Taking Arthur’s advice, Fat Li’s group started running.
When they reached the small square in front of the cinema, they noticed more zombies, indicating that the Aivard group had only cleared up to this point.
Facing a large wave of zombies, the five of them found it challenging. Fortunately, they worked together, dealing with them one by one.
If too many zombies attacked at once, Fat Li would throw out some raw meat to lure them away, so the pressure wasn’t too great.
Fat Li rubbed his slightly sore shoulders and sighed, "Killing zombies is really a physical job."
It took a while to clear the small square in front of the cinema, and they had taken down over twenty zombies.
The group sat on the benches in the square to rest. Fat Li took out a bottle of Evian from his backpack and drank half of it.
Time passed quickly. Clearing the square didn’t take long, and they estimated that after searching the cinema and nearby shops, they would have to return to Wonderland.
If it got dark, visibility would be greatly reduced, making it truly dangerous.
"Don’t turn around, there’s a figure in that Mexican restaurant behind us," Yan Zeteng, who stood opposite Fat Li, suddenly said.
"Is it Mike?" Arthur asked excitedly.
"It doesn’t look like him. It’s an Asian. What should we do?"
