"Let's go to the other end of Baker Street, use the signal gun to lure the zombies away, and then figure out how to deal with those guys in the pharmacy. What do you think of this plan?"
After Li Fatso finished speaking, everyone fell into deep thought, probably considering how feasible the plan was.
"At a time like this, it would be great if Fang Gan were here. He would tell us the chances of success," Li Fatso joked, seeing everyone's serious faces.
Everyone except the confused Harrow laughed, and the tense atmosphere eased a bit.
"The pharmacy isn't that big, and the only place to hide is the toilet. By the way, how good is the quality of the toilet door?" Wang Chan sighed, sounding a bit pessimistic.
"This plan is fine. Instead of discussing its feasibility here, we should hurry over and check the situation," Si Yao said, also worried about the quality of the toilet door, urging them on.
"He's right. What do you think of this plan, Harrow?" Although Li Fatso also wanted to go quickly, the steering wheel was in Harrow's hands, and they could only set off if he agreed.
"I don't think we have a Plan B."
Harrow started the car and sped off with a press of the accelerator.
On the way, Harrow chose secluded side streets to avoid the zombies as much as possible, to prevent any commotion.
"It seems we guessed right; there aren't many zombies here."
The taxi gradually approached the intersection of Baker Street, and Harrow carefully observed the area.
"Stop here. If we go any further, they'll spot us." Li Fatso signaled Harrow to stop, and the four of them got out of the car.
They were still a short distance from the zombies, and their quiet movements didn't attract the zombies' attention.
"Once we lure these zombies away, you drive to the intersection and wait for us." Li Fatso pointed to the intersection ahead. Seeing Harrow give an OK sign, he fired the signal gun toward the other end of the street.
The signal flare whistled into the sky, and the remaining few zombies hesitated for a moment before chasing after it.
Seeing that the zombies at the intersection had all left, Li Fatso and the others sprinted directly to the pharmacy. Harrow also drove to the intersection, holding a baseball bat just in case.
The four quickly reached the pharmacy door, and Li Fatso handed his backpack and the signal gun to Wang Chan.
This was part of the plan to prevent the zombies from being lured back by any noise from the pharmacy. Someone had to use the signal flare to keep their attention. This task was given to Wang Chan, while Wang Zongze was responsible for protecting him from any stray zombies.
Li Fatso and Yan Zekun blocked the pharmacy door, using machetes to knock on the glass door, immediately attracting the zombies inside.
"Come on! You bastards!"
The two worked together, each taking out a zombie with a single strike. The number of zombies in the pharmacy seemed to have decreased, and it quickly became quiet after a few were killed.
The zombies lured to the intersection noticed the commotion at the pharmacy and started to head back. Wang Chan fired the signal gun without hesitation, controlling the zombies again.
"Xiao Hong Kong, guard the door! Ah Chan, get the medicine, let's go!"
Li Fatso and Yan Zekun moved the zombies blocking the pharmacy door and told Wang Chan and the others. They then entered the pharmacy one after another.
Since the other three's backpacks were already full of food, only Li Fatso's backpack was available for the medicine. Wang Chan followed them, ready to start scavenging.
The three remained highly alert as they entered the pharmacy, watching out for any hidden zombies.
"Si Yao? Alex?"
The two called out as they approached the toilet, while Wang Chan quickly searched for various medicines.
They had almost finished checking the entire pharmacy, finding no trace of Si Yao or Alex. Li Fatso pushed the toilet door, which was their last hope.
The door opened directly, and there was no one inside.
"Damn? This pharmacy doesn't have a second floor. Did they grow wings and fly away?" Li Fatso, disbelieving, entered the toilet and carefully checked, but found nothing.
"They must have escaped from here!" Yan Zekun walked to the back of the pharmacy and pointed to the broken glass.
"There's actually a window here?"
None of them had noticed the window at the back of the pharmacy the first time they came. Li Fatso hurried over.
The window was covered with many shards of glass, and some slightly blackened bloodstains were stuck to it.
"This blood is from the zombies. They must have climbed out of the window! No wonder there are fewer zombies in the pharmacy." Li Fatso said, about to climb out of the window.
Yan Zekun grabbed Li Fatso and pulled him away from the window.
"We don't know what the situation is outside. Don't go after them."
"You stay here with them and wait for me. I'll go check. I might find them. Don't worry, I have a gun." Li Fatso pulled out the handgun from his pocket and was about to climb out of the window again.
"We shouldn't split up again. Every time we do, something happens, whether it was at the KTV or just now." Yan Zekun grabbed Li Fatso's arm without hesitation.
"But..."
"No buts. It's faster to chase them by car than for you to go alone. Hurry up..."
"Signal flares are useless now! They're coming back! Hurry! Hurry up!"
Before Yan Zekun could finish, Wang Zongze shouted loudly from the door.
Wang Chan, who was packing the medicine, heard the zombies coming and quickly grabbed the last few items, stuffing them into his backpack and rushing out of the pharmacy.
"Damn it! Hurry up!"
Seeing Li Fatso and Yan Zekun still dawdling inside, the usually calm Wang Zongze couldn't help but curse.
"What are you waiting for!? Hurry up!"
Seeing Li Fatso still hesitating, Yan Zekun shouted at him.
"Do you want us to search for you again like this!? Go!!"
Seeing no response from Li Fatso, Yan Zekun grabbed him and ran out of the pharmacy.
"Fuck! You finally came out!"
The nearest zombies were only a few steps away! Wang Zongze cursed and started running.
The four of them sprinted, and Harrow and Wang Chan had already opened all the car doors, waiting for them.
"Everyone's here! Go! Go!"
Seeing Li Fatso get into the car last, Wang Chan shouted urgently.
Harrow pressed the accelerator, and the taxi sped away, leaving a group of zombies wandering on Baker Street.
"Alright, I'm sorry about your companions' situation," Harrow said, thinking Si Yao and the others had died, trying to comfort Li Fatso and the others.
"Sorry my ass! They're not dead; they escaped through the window!"
"Damn! You jinx! Spit, spit, spit!"
Harrow, not understanding, followed suit and spat.
