" THEY escaped through the pharmacy's window. Do you know which street is behind the pharmacy, Hawley?" Knowing that Hawley was a taxi driver, Fat Li asked with hope.
"Sorry, there are many alleys here. Without GPS, I can't be sure," Hawley pointed to the car's GPS. "This thing hasn't worked for a long time. I'll try to find it. Don't worry, since they escaped, we can find them!"
Fat Li nodded, now he could only trust Hawley.
After a while, Hawley parked the taxi by the roadside.
"I can't guarantee it's exactly here, but it should be nearby."
After hearing Hawley's words, everyone nodded and looked out the window. Although the number of zombies on the road was not as many as on Baker Street, there were still quite a few, making it a bit challenging to deal with them.
"Let me fire a shot to draw them away?" Wang Chan rolled down the window and extended the signal gun outside.
"No, there are many more zombies around here. It might attract even more. Don't cause trouble," Yan Zekun quickly stopped Wang Chan.
Just as Yan Zekun finished speaking, a zombie suddenly grabbed Wang Chan's signal gun and pulled it hard!
Wang Chan was startled by the sudden attack and hurriedly let go of the gun, causing the zombie to fall to the ground with the signal gun.
"Damn!"
Fat Li quickly got out of the car, and before the zombie could get up, he killed it with a knife and retrieved the signal gun.
"It looks like we need to take them out one by one," Fat Li said, waving the bloody machete in his hand.
The others also got out of the car and, taking advantage of the zombies not yet gathering, quickly eliminated them one by one. Hawley didn't stay in the car either but joined the fight with a baseball bat.
"Thank you, Hawley. You've been helping us all day. Without you..." Fat Li knocked down another zombie and then had a moment to speak to Hawley.
Hawley swung the bat behind Fat Li, knocking down a zombie that was about to attack him.
Hawley hurried over and gave a few more hits, then said, "When I decided to find you, I had a feeling today wouldn't be an easy day."
Hawley hit the zombie's head again with the bat.
"By the way, I think we're a team now, right?" Hawley asked Fat Li, straightening up after making sure the zombie was dead.
"Sure!"
Fat Li answered without hesitation.
On the other side, Wang Chan and Wang Zongze sat on the ground, completely exhausted.
Fat Li and Hawley were also leaning against the taxi, panting heavily.
Killing zombies was a physically demanding task. Even though each of them had only killed a few, they were already exhausted.
Yan Zekun lit a cigarette and walked over to Fat Li.
"We're too drained. No matter what, we must return to Wonderland after searching here. Tony is still running a fever. We need to save him if we can."
Fat Li nodded in agreement. Indeed, if they continued searching, the few of them, who were already very tired, might not make it.
When they returned to Wonderland, it would be almost dark. They couldn't search again today. The night in Norwich was at least ten times more dangerous than the day.
"Chan, Little Hong Kong, how are you two? Do you still have any strength?" Fat Li asked the two sitting on the ground.
"No problem," Wang Chan and Wang Zongze got up and answered. After all, this was the last search, and they could rest after this.
"Hawley, you stay here. No matter what, we'll be back in two hours. We'll return to the camp regardless of the outcome."
Seeing Hawley nod, Fat Li called the others and they walked down a small road.
"Si Yao?"
"Alex?"
After the four of them walked away, Hawley sat in the driver's seat, opened the sun visor, and pulled out a photo. In the photo were three people: Hawley himself, a black woman, and a little boy around four or five years old.
The little boy was smiling very happily, while the two adults behind him were forcing smiles. Hawley clearly remembered that day. He had just managed to take a day off and was sleeping soundly when his wife woke him up.
"Take a photo!? Every year! Isn't it annoying? Your iPhone can take photos, why waste time and money at a photo studio!?"
"Hawley, listen! If something happens to me one day, you'll be very grateful that I forced you to take photos every year." "Oh my God! Jenny, are you serious? Saying this on a Sunday!? We should go to church, not a photo studio!"
"Little Hawley is already dressed and waiting for you downstairs. So, are you going or not!?"
Hawley still remembered the sour face Jenny made at the time. Of course, he had no choice but to give in and accompany them to the photo studio to take the annual family photo.
Another zombie appeared from somewhere, growling and approaching the taxi. Hawley wiped away his tears and put the photo back in the sun visor.
"Bang!"
Hawley hit the zombie with the bat, knocking it to the ground.
"Damn! Damn! Damn! Fuck! Fuck!"
Hawley kept hitting the zombie's head with the bat, splattering himself with red and white matter.
After hitting the zombie countless times, Hawley finally fell to the ground, exhausted.
Hawley lay on the road in a star shape, the baseball bat lying beside him.
He seemed to see Jenny and Little Hawley in the sky. Little Hawley was still smiling very happily, while Jenny, who was behind him, looked a bit angry but was forcing a smile.

"I want to see Belinda!"
Big Tom stood at the entrance of the hall, speaking to Albe who was blocking him.
"Belinda doesn't want to see you. You should go back."
"She's one of us. Why are you imprisoning her!" Seeing Albe refuse, Big Tom spoke harshly.
"Imprisoning? I never said she wasn't one of you. She just wants to stay here for a while. Is that not allowed? By the way, it's her choice, not imprisonment," Albe replied defiantly.
Arthur, who was guarding the front hall, saw the situation and hurried over.
The argument drew a crowd. Lily and others had been staying on the first floor since the morning and gathered at the entrance when they heard the commotion.
Michelle, who had to take care of Tony, could only watch from a distance. Belinda was sitting next to her, hugging her legs and curling up.
"Fine, you win!"
Seeing the crowd growing, Big Tom left a harsh remark and went back to the third floor.
"It's over, everyone can go now."
Just as Albe was trying to disperse the crowd, a gunshot rang out from outside, followed by a red flash in the sky!
All the zombies at the entrance growled and rushed toward the red light, leaving not a single one behind.
Everyone was shocked. Richard hurried to the entrance and looked outside.
"They're back."
