Alsace, who had been kicked off the plane, cautiously made his way to the top floor of the hotel, the ninth floor. The entire ninth-floor corridor was devoid of any zombies, eerily quiet, almost frighteningly so.
"Phew, looks like I've got some good luck!"
Alsace carefully checked each room as he passed by, to ensure no zombies would suddenly burst out from an unlocked door. Thus, his pace was not very fast.
In fact, he knew that even if he could rush to the Land Rover now, he would be at a loss for what to do. After all, it was a zombie horde, not something that could be resolved with just an assault rifle.
At this pace, by the time he left the hotel, the Land Rover would probably be long gone. So Alsace calmed down, trying to ensure his own safety as much as possible.
As long as they were still alive, he would definitely have a chance to find them and bring them back to London! As he thought this, Alsace slowly moved to the elevator shaft.
Pressing the elevator button, Alsace stood to the side and watched quietly as the elevator number slowly climbed from 1 to 9. Alsace never thought there would be any zombies in the elevator. Even if there were, there would be at most two or three, which he could easily deal with.
So he didn't choose to back away and keep his distance, but instead stood comfortably at the elevator door. So far, his luck seemed to be holding, as he hadn't encountered any zombies. Alsace thought to himself.
Of course, he quickly negated his previous thought. The elevator door slowly opened, revealing a full load of zombies! The zombies seemed to be startled by the sudden opening of the door, and their eyes almost glowed when they saw Alsace.
Food!!!
"Damn! Is it not overloaded!?" Alsace muttered as he ran towards the emergency exit.
What good luck! No wonder I didn't see any zombies on the way; they were all gathered here, ready to burst out!
As he ran, Alsace didn't forget to turn back and shoot the few zombies that were leading the chase. The gunshots echoed throughout the hotel, and Alsace dared not fire recklessly anymore.
Zombies are very sensitive to sound, especially gunshots. Firing again might attract more zombies! Besides, he didn't have many bullets left, so he had to use them sparingly!
Kicking open the emergency exit door, it was pitch black inside. Fortunately, there were no zombies in the stairwell, or he would have been trapped. Alsace turned on his flashlight, slung his SA80 over his shoulder, and hurriedly ran down.
The zombies behind him naturally wouldn't let him go, and they continued to chase him frantically. In no time, they also rushed into the emergency exit, following the sound of Alsace's footsteps.
"The ground floor won't work; it's definitely been taken over by zombies. I can't walk into a trap; I need to find a way out from the second floor!"
Alsace thought, and turned back to shoot a few more times at the zombies behind him, causing two of them to fall. At this point, he had no choice but to shoot; the zombies in the dark stairwell were not affected in speed and were getting closer and closer.
Wishes are always good, but before Alsace could even reach the second floor, he found zombies in the emergency exit on the fifth floor! There were quite a few of them!
Enemies in front, pursuers behind!
Without hesitation, Alsace quickly fired, clearing all the zombies blocking his path.
"Shit! So many!" Alsace finally made it to the third floor, only to find that the number of zombies in the emergency exit was no less than those behind him!
Sure enough, the closer to the ground floor, the more zombies there were! And this was definitely the result of his constant shooting! Staying in the emergency exit was a death sentence! Alsace directly kicked open the emergency exit door and came to the third-floor corridor of the hotel.
Fortunately, the third-floor corridor was as empty as the ninth floor, with no one in sight. Alsace ran while trying to open the doors of various rooms.
The zombies had also come out of the stairwell, making Alsace break out in a cold sweat. There was no other way out now; he had to enter a room, hoping to avoid the danger.
Finally, after countless failures, a door was pushed open! Alsace quickly hid inside and immediately locked the door from the inside.
"Phew, phew, good luck... well, so far." Alsace didn't have time to catch his breath before facing danger again.
Two zombies in the room had already pounced on Alsace!
"Bang, bang!"
Alsace kicked the male zombie in front of him and fired two precise shots, ending the lives of the couple. As a soldier of the British Royal Guard, his skills were indeed reliable.
Alsace immediately ran to the window and looked outside. The hotel was open, with no locked gates. However, the zombie horde had not visited this hotel; instead, the zombies in the front yard had been taken away by the horde. So the courtyard outside the hotel was quite safe, but the horde had not dispersed, and even if he escaped the hotel, there was nowhere to go.
The zombies inside the hotel, blocked by the main gate, could not get out and were concentrated in the lobby.
Just as Alsace was analyzing the situation, the door was being pounded on loudly, and the zombies were coming! The quality of the hotel room door was definitely good, but it was unclear how long it would hold.
In the meantime, the horde had already passed. Although there were still many zombies on the street chasing the horde, it was much better than before! Alsace no longer hesitated, opened the window, and took out the combat rope from his backpack.
He skillfully tied the rope to the leg of a fixed table, making several knots, which should be able to support his weight. Taking advantage of the fact that the zombies had not yet broken in, Alsace hurriedly went to the bathroom to wash his face. He also gulped down a few large sips of water, as he had consumed a lot of energy running down from the ninth floor.
Coming out of the bathroom, Alsace remembered that high-end hotels usually have food in the rooms, which is settled at check-out.
"Awesome!" Alsace couldn't help but exclaim as he opened the mini-fridge in the room.
Alsace gathered all the cookies, canned coffee, chocolate, chips, candies, and other foods into his backpack.
Although he carried a lot of compressed biscuits, which were enough to fill his stomach for a few days, the taste was really not good. If there were other options, Alsace would never eat them.
Prepared, Alsace hurriedly ran to the window, ready to escape the hotel using the rope. The pounding on the door was getting heavier, and he couldn't afford to delay any longer! As for what to do after getting out, he would deal with it when the time came!
Before Alsace could even reach the window, he saw a head appear outside!
What?
A small Asian man with glasses climbed in through the window!
What the hell?
Then, a white man with a simple crossbow also climbed in!
What—are you doing?
