The once bustling and lively Wonderland in the city center has now become a place filled only with the constant surge of zombie hordes, and the four people trapped in the third-floor study.
The sky had grown dark, and the study was quiet. Tony was sleeping soundly on the bed, having taken cold medicine that made him drowsy.
When Michelle and the others were trapped in the first-floor hall, she had put Tony's medicine in her pocket just in case.
Yugimi and Aya were huddled together, sleeping on the floor nearby. They had no food, and there was nothing else to do but sleep.
The low growls of zombies could still be heard from the street, indicating that the zombie horde would not disperse tonight. Fortunately, the zombies had not reached the third floor, and it was relatively quiet outside the study.
The long day had finally passed, and the four people had survived by luck.
What about Alex, Li Fatty, and Albe? Will they come back to save us? Just as Michelle was halfway through filling the buckets, she heard a sound from the second floor. She quickly turned off the tap and crouched down. She hoped the water sound hadn't attracted the zombies!
If it was zombies, it would be bad. If they were attracted, it would be impossible to get food from the first floor. This wasn't the worst part. If a group of zombies were attracted and trapped them in the study, it would be a death sentence!
Michelle immediately told herself to stay calm and not make any noise. She focused on listening to the zombies, trying to determine their numbers and positions.
But after listening for a while, it didn't seem to be the sound of zombies.
"Is it him?" Michelle thought of someone and was surprised.
After hesitating, Michelle continued to fill the buckets. When the two buckets were full, she first returned them to the study. Seeing that Tony and the others were sleeping soundly, she didn't wake them, and with a machete in hand, she left the study again.
Michelle bent over, gripping the machete tightly, and quietly approached the staircase. She listened at the staircase for a while and confirmed that it was indeed the sound of someone knocking on a door.
The flashlight cast a weak light as Michelle slowly descended the stairs to the second floor. The low growls of zombies could be heard from the first floor, indicating that the zombies at the hall entrance had not dispersed.

Michelle shone the flashlight and carefully approached the second-floor storage room. The weak light illuminated the door of the storage room, where a zombie was continuously pounding on the door.
