Chapter 97

After thanking God, Michelle quietly approached the zombie. Even though she was being as careful as possible, the female zombie still heard her and abandoned the storeroom to attack Michelle!

Looking at the female zombie's grotesque face, Michelle felt a wave of emotion. May you rest in peace, go to a place without pain, and may God be with you!

Michelle swung her knife at the female zombie's head, but since a woman's strength can't compare to a man's, she had to follow up with several more strikes before the second floor finally fell silent.

Michelle looked down at the zombie she had just killed, feeling very conflicted. She was definitely luckier than the zombie, as she was still alive. But for some reason, she felt that this woman should have been happier than herself.

Everyone is bound to end up like this. The difference is that she still had to worry about food and struggle for survival.

Michelle shook her head and stopped thinking about it.

The storeroom was almost at the far end of the second floor, with the internal stairs leading to the first-floor hall on either side. However, before going to the first floor to get food, Michelle had to get the person in the storeroom out.

While keeping an eye on the surroundings, Michelle opened the door that was secured with a bolt. Inside the storeroom, a person was lying bound and gagged, writhing and moaning.

This person was Charlie, who had been captured by Lily and the others. He was the one who was very interested in the young girl Ning Dongqing but was ultimately tricked by Lily's beauty.

Fat Li had never found the time to deal with him, and Lily and the others on the second floor didn't care about him. As for Tom and the girls on the third floor, they had long forgotten about him. Since the day Fat Li and the others moved into Wonderland, no one had paid attention to him for several days.

Only during lunch and dinner did someone come to give him some food. After all, Tony's illness, Si Yao and Alex's disappearance, and Tom's escape had everyone in a panic, and no one remembered this guy.

During the day, zombies broke into the nightclub through the sewers, and the zombie horde also erupted. Everyone was only thinking about their own survival, and no one remembered that there was someone tied up on the second floor.

Charlie, who was thirsty, hungry, and had numb limbs from being tied up, and was blocked by zombies, had completely broken down. When he saw Michelle, it was like he saw a savior!

"Ugh, ugh!" With his mouth taped shut, Charlie's cries for help came out as muffled sounds.

Charlie writhed desperately, making continuous sounds, hoping Michelle would untie him. Whether he lived or died depended entirely on this girl!

"Shh!" Michelle quickly closed the storeroom door and signaled Charlie to be quiet.

Charlie knew this was to prevent attracting zombies, and since he needed Michelle's help, he naturally stopped making noise. He would agree to anything as long as he could get his freedom!

Although Charlie stopped making noise, his eyes still showed a desperate desire to survive. After much hesitation, Michelle finally tore off the tape from Charlie's mouth.

"Ahh!" Charlie felt as if his mouth was being torn off and cried out in pain.

Michelle, worried about attracting zombies, quickly covered his mouth. From the look on Charlie's face, it was clear how much pain he was in. Once Charlie had calmed down a bit, Michelle let go of his mouth.

"Ugh, sister. Save me, save me! Please!" Finally able to speak, Charlie begged with a tearful voice.

Michelle was taken aback by Charlie's plea. This man was clearly in his thirties, yet he called her "sister."

"Be quiet. We can barely save ourselves, how can we save you?" Michelle explained the situation with the zombie horde to Charlie, and he was left speechless.

Charlie sighed helplessly. He thought he had a chance to escape, but now he faced another challenge. When would this end!?

"Sister, can you at least untie me? My hands and feet are numb! Please!" Although the reality was harsh, Charlie didn't give up on his hope for survival and continued to plead with Michelle.

Hearing Charlie's request, Michelle hesitated.

This Charlie was part of Edward's group. Except for Arthur, they were all the same. Michelle had fought for her life against them and even killed one of them. Releasing such a dangerous person made her uneasy.

"Sister, you know how terrifying those zombies are outside. There's no way you and your group can handle them, especially with three girls! If you let me go, we can work together to find a way out. Please, sister!"

Seeing Charlie's tears, Michelle's heart softened. Besides, he was right; any additional strength could increase their chances of survival.

"I was forced to be with Edward and the others! If I didn't do their bidding, they would have killed me! I swear! I swear to God! I won't do any more bad things! Please?"

Charlie guessed Michelle's concerns and immediately swore to God to gain her trust.

Seeing Charlie swear, Michelle finally made her decision. She squatted down and helped untie the ropes on Charlie's body.

Charlie didn't rush to stand up but lay on the ground, moving his limbs. Finally free! But thinking about the terrifying zombie horde outside, he felt depressed again.

After moving his limbs, Charlie got up from the ground. He looked at his savior, the blonde girl with blue eyes. She was quite attractive!

Since the world was like this, and no one had much time left to live, why not enjoy the moment! Thinking this, a lustful glint appeared in Charlie's eyes. Since she was his savior, she could save him one more time! He was itching for it!

Michelle didn't notice Charlie's change in demeanor. After helping him untie the ropes, she walked to the door and looked outside. There was a small glass window on the storeroom door, allowing her to see the outside.

Michelle didn't want to be discovered by the zombies when she went to the first floor to get food. Although it was dark outside, the streetlights helped her see a bit. There was no movement outside the door, so it seemed no zombies had made it to the second floor.

Michelle had been one of those held captive in the first-floor hall. Although she had heard about Charlie's misdeeds, she hadn't seen them firsthand, and her judgment of Charlie was somewhat rash.

If any of the others who had been held captive in the hall were here, they would never have untied him. But Michelle had exposed her back to a man she barely knew.

For this, she would pay a price.
