The light in the storage room illuminated the entire space, though it was rather dim. The door outside was quiet, and it seemed there were no zombies around.
Michelle had long since changed out of her nightclub attire; the white dress had been replaced by a pair of jeans. Since the jeans were taken from a corpse, they didn't fit her very well. The jeans were slightly tight, accentuating Michelle's figure.
This woman must be quite smart; she wouldn't shout and attract zombies, that would be courting death! Charlie looked at Michelle's back and couldn't help but swallow hard.
Although this woman wasn't as beautiful as the one before, she would do. Thinking about that night when he was tricked into opening the door and then tied up in this storage room, Charlie felt a surge of anger.
Now, it's time for compensation!
Charlie's mind was clouded with lust, and he stretched out his hands to grab Michelle. Fortunately, Michelle, seeing no danger outside, turned to speak to Charlie and immediately saw him with his arms outstretched and a lecherous grin on his face.
"Ahh!!" Startled by Charlie, Michelle immediately screamed.
Shit! Not following the script! Shouting like that won't attract zombies!?
Charlie, who was already timid, was completely intimidated by Michelle's scream. His lust was instantly dispelled, and he no longer had any evil thoughts.
"Shh!" Now it was Charlie's turn to gesture, signaling Michelle to be quiet. He didn't want to be torn apart by zombies.
Michelle, indeed, was wary of the zombies on the first floor, so she stopped screaming and cooperated.
"What were you doing just now!?" Michelle steadied herself, quickly holding the machete in front of her chest, and asked defensively.
Although Michelle asked, she had a pretty good idea. Recalling Charlie's expression just now and connecting it to the incident where he was tricked into opening the door, Michelle knew what Charlie was thinking.
"What can I do! What can I do!?" Charlie responded, his mind racing.
Right! Why did I stretch out my hands! How can I get out of this!?
"I... I... My hands were just numb. I was just stretching my muscles and boosting my spirits!"
Only a fool would believe that excuse. But Michelle didn't have time to argue, as the sound of zombies was already coming from the stairs. And from the noise, there were definitely a lot of them!
Although she knew it was dangerous outside, Michelle would rather fight her way out than stay in the same room with Charlie. Charlie's wolf-like gaze just now was definitely not about stretching and boosting spirits.
This guy is clearly a pervert!
Michelle pushed open the storage room door and rushed back to the third floor, abandoning the food on the first floor. But after running a few steps, she saw the zombies swarming towards her and quickly stopped. With at least a dozen zombies, there was no way Michelle, a woman, could safely get through.
The zombies also noticed Michelle and all charged towards her.
"Shit!" Michelle cursed, realizing this path was blocked, and ran back.
Initially, seeing Michelle run out, Charlie instinctively closed the door. Zombies were dangerous, so staying in the storage room was the safest! But after searching for a while, he found that the door of the storage room had no lock and couldn't be locked from the inside!
Just relying on himself to block the door wouldn't be enough to stop those zombies!
"Shit!" Charlie cursed again, quickly opening the door and running out.
At this moment, Michelle happened to run past him, entering the internal spiral staircase and heading to the first-floor hall. Michelle had no intention of returning to the storage room; the danger from Charlie and the zombies was equally great, so whether Charlie closed or opened the door didn't matter to her.
Just as Michelle ran over, Charlie saw the hungry zombies about to pounce. Terrified, he didn't hesitate and immediately ran after Michelle.
The two of them, one in front and one behind, arrived at the first-floor hall. The main door had not yet been broken down by the zombies. And it was very quiet outside, with the zombies that were blocking the door now chasing them.
From the sound, the zombies had already caught up to the internal staircase. There was no time to open the locked main door!
"Close the door to the staircase! Hurry!" Michelle quickly turned around and shouted to Charlie, who had just stepped into the hall.
After saying that, Michelle ran towards the main door. She had locked it during the day, and the key was on her. As long as she could open the main door, they could return to the third floor!
The internal staircase had an iron gate. Initially, it was locked by Edward and the others, trapping Lily and the others in the hall. Hearing Michelle's words, Charlie didn't hesitate and quickly pulled the iron gate shut. As soon as the door closed, the zombies were already at the front! Charlie was so scared that he fell on his butt.
There were at least a dozen or twenty zombies, densely packed outside the door. Fortunately, the zombies didn't immediately figure out how to open the iron gate and were blocked outside.
But with so many zombies, the door wouldn't hold for long!
Charlie quickly got up and ran to Michelle, urging her, "Sister, what are you dawdling for!? Hurry up and open it!"
"The key is gone..." Michelle searched her entire body but couldn't find the key to the main door. That's strange! I clearly put the key in my pocket!
"Shit! You damn well killed me! What were you doing! I'd rather be locked in that small dark room!" Hearing Michelle's words, Charlie was completely despairing. He forgot all about begging Michelle to save him and started cursing.
Michelle didn't pay attention to Charlie's words but frantically looked around the hall for a way to escape. She accidentally saw the other three internal spiral staircases, her eyes lit up, and she quickly ran to grab the backpacks containing food.
Michelle threw two of the backpacks to Charlie, who was still stomping his feet in anger.
"Follow me!" Michelle, carrying the other two backpacks, rushed to another internal staircase.
Although Charlie didn't know why he was carrying such heavy backpacks, he didn't have time to ask and followed her. The two quickly climbed the stairs and returned to the second floor!
This exit was right behind the group of zombies! The zombies, hearing the noise, crawled out of the staircase and charged at them! Regardless, the two had finally escaped!
The two ran madly towards the staircase, as long as they could get to the third floor, there was still hope!
Suddenly, Michelle tripped and fell to the ground, the two backpacks in her hands flying out. The group of zombies behind her were already roaring and chasing after her!
Charlie glanced at the zombies and Michelle behind him and, without hesitation, continued running towards the staircase!
