Age’s life was mediocre. He was born to parents who were hunters in a small town. His family consisted of a father, a mother, and a younger sister under the age of four. He didn’t go to school and spent the days helping out with the hunting. He had no complaints. He intended to be a hunter himself in the future, and respected his parents who protected the town from vermin and brought food to the town. His parents were kind and his sister was cute… every day was fulfilling.
However, in the spring of his 13th year, everyday life was changed after a group of priestly individuals with the magician’s emblem visited the town. They plundered all the property from the town and slaughtered everyone except Age. Age’s vision was stolen. Age’s peaceful and happy life ended there. He was dropped into a dark world, lost his friends and family, and nevertheless he did not despair. All he needed for his motivation was his revenge. Age left the town and embarked on a journey. One year later, April 7th. Age’s turning point would be that day. No, the turning point for the world had been that day. “Do you want to join this guild? I refuse.”
The guild master, head bounty hunter, Gauche, refused. It was a natural decision for Gauche, because the boy who wanted to join had his eyes covered with bandages.
“I know you. Age, right? How many times have you caught someone, boy?”
“Well, none..”
“None?
“Yes, none.”
“Why do you want to join?”
“Revenge. For my family and the man who took my sight.”
Gauche looked up, perhaps with a little sympathy. “Did the other person have a coat of arms?”
“Hm?. You know of them?”
“So that’s it, revenge is absolutely impossible. That coat of arms is the source of magical power, that is, they are a magician. They are different from us. You don’t have a coat of arms, right? ”
” No… ”
Something hit his chest and fell. Age bended down and picked up the fallen object. With the feel of his hands, Age knew it was a hand towel.
“You’re out of luck if you can’t react to that. No guild will want you.”
Age couldn’t say anything. He knew best that he was incompetent. He turned around and he stumbled on something.
“Oops, I’m sorry! I happened to stretch my legs and you got hit! I don’t have any bad intentions. Bahahaha.”
Apparently, one of the guild members tried to trip him. Only giggles and nasty laughter can be heard clearly. Age left the guild silently. — He swung the cane in his hand and walked down the road, facing ahead. He didn’t feel the warmth of the sun in his head, so he guessed the sun was already setting. His attempt at getting a job didn’t work again. But next time. Age spits. He had been looking for that magician ever since his hometown was burned last year. However, there were no clues. There had been no growth in the past year. He hears that if you lose sight, other organs develop, but Age’s hearing did not sharpen. He was 100 percent blind. His ears could never fill the role his eyes had left. He still couldn’t walk properly without a cane. Only misery is left. Don’t break… Don’t break! He knew he was weak. He was sad and angry, no idea how to handle it. He noticed, the bandage around his eyes was wet.
“Mom, dad… Elise. I’m sure… I’ll avenge you…”
The face of his family circulates in his head. OK. OK. I won’t give up. I’m sure. I’ll do it! Tears dripping from the bandage fall to the ground. In a pitch-black world, he has\d no acquaintances. True loneliness. Only a light named Revenge illuminated the road. But the money I got from begging will soon run out. Then… it’s the real end. Being blind made him more susceptible to mercy and sympathy. If a rich man saw him, they’d throw him a coin or two. However, Age had now been in a town called Rivaus where various rogues end up. There is no one who seemed to be blessed with money. There is no way to make money in his current state. If he ran out of his current money, that’s it. It wasn’t a matter of feeling or guess work, but the time limit was approaching financially. “In a world where you have lost all your loved ones and even the light… You should live miserably in despair.” “Shit. If it stays like this… it’ll be exactly what he says.” It was when he was frustrated and passed by the shopping street. He heard the voice of a girl .
“Why don’t you buy an evil eye ~? Why don’t you buy an evil eye ~? Now a predictive eye is only 60 million! It’s cheap, it’s cheap ~” Age doubted his ears.
