(Listen, the following is the account of the little bar attendant sister.)

"Wang Yiran (the name of the girl who committed suicide) lived with us, but her relationship with us was quite average. We basically had no communication and mostly did our own things.

However, she got along very well with the girls in the next dormitory. They were all the type who liked to fool around, smoke, and drink.

On the day of the incident, it was much like any other day. Wang Yiran stayed in the next dormitory until very late. Since there was no dorm supervisor checking, she came back, changed into her pajamas, and went out again. We were all used to this and just casually asked her what she was going to do so late.

She said she was going out to play... a game of 'Dare.'

Then she didn't come back all night.

In the morning, a few of us from our dormitory went to the rooftop to get the clothes that had dried... and that's when we... found that she was already dead.

Her body was lying near the stairs, but her head... her head was at the very edge of the corridor!

I don't know what happened after that. We were all terrified, but the school soon gave us a few days off to go home and rest...

After hanging up the phone with the little bar attendant sister, Xia Tianqi lit a cigarette and sat on the slightly cold plastic track, lost in thought.

Although the little bar attendant sister's account needed verification, he thought it was probably mostly true.

According to her, the deceased, Wang Yiran, was found on the rooftop of Building 2. So if this girl was really killed by a ghost, then the evil spirit might be hiding in Building 2, which was the area he was now responsible for.

"What a fucking great luck!"

Xia Tianqi cursed and flicked the cigarette butt away. However, he didn't have too bad of a plan, as Buildings 1 and 2 were almost a single entity, so it was hard to say who would be the first to have bad luck.

But upon careful reflection, there were a few points in the little bar attendant sister's account that caught his attention.

For example, the deceased's usual circle of friends was in the next dormitory.

Another point was that the night before the incident, she had participated in a 'Dare' game.

And before that, there was nothing unusual about her, so the reason Wang Yiran died might very well be because of that 'Dare' game she played with the next dormitory.

"Looks like I need to check things out first."

Finding the key to the problem, Xia Tianqi didn't just sit and think. He got up from the track and quickly headed toward the dormitory building.

After returning to the dormitory building, he first toured his duty room. It was as small as he had imagined, barely fitting a single bed and a desk.

But at least there was Wi-Fi, which somewhat comforted him.

Since he and the other three had clearly divided their responsibilities, he was currently the only one here. As for Leng Yue and Han Xiyuan, they were likely familiarizing themselves with their respective areas.

But to be honest, where they were or what they were doing had nothing to do with him. So he didn't bother to worry about it. The key was to focus on himself.

Due to the special educational system of Qihe Women's College, there might still be students in the dormitories at this time, and some might even be sleeping naked.

After all, they had come as dorm supervisors quite suddenly, so some students might not have been informed.

Of course, these were just Xia Tianqi's fantasies.

Xia Tianqi first toured the first floor, carefully checking almost every dormitory room. He pushed open the doors and went inside, but to his disappointment, there was not a single student staying in this floor. However, he did find quite a few freshly laundered undergarments.

Unfortunately, he wasn't a pervert, so these things held no allure for him.

Continuing up to the seventh floor, Xia Tianqi didn't find a single student sleeping in the dormitories. The place was completely empty.

But he couldn't complain too much, as his main goal was to get a feel for the place. Whether there were female students or not... he did... somewhat care.

Standing at the stairwell on the seventh floor, Xia Tianqi looked up and saw that the building only had eight floors. In other words, the floor above was where Wang Yiran's body was found.

For some reason, Xia Tianqi felt the air around him suddenly drop in temperature, and he even thought he heard faint crying.

He rubbed his ears and listened carefully, but after confirming he heard nothing, he began to search the floor.

And he soon had a discovery.

When Xia Tianqi pushed open a dormitory door without much hope, he finally saw what he had been eagerly anticipating.

He saw two white, bare legs sprawled across the bed, a head of reddish-brown curly hair scattered on the pillow, revealing a delicate and cute face.

And, the chest that could arouse a man's primal desires, though somewhat flat.

As a man who considered himself not perverted and of high moral character, upon accidentally entering a girl's dormitory and seeing her in such a state, Xia Tianqi resolutely chose... to watch for a moment before leaving!

Of course, that was just a thought. In reality, his timid heart made him too afraid to stay. He quickly turned around to leave, but at that moment, a shrill scream suddenly broke the awkward silence in the dormitory.

Instinctively looking back, Xia Tianqi blushed when he saw that the student who had been sleeping soundly was now awake and shouting:

"Who are you!"

"How did you get in here!"

"Ah—!

Get out... now!!!"

Although he wanted to explain, Xia Tianqi ultimately fled in a hurry and ran all the way to the rooftop. After briefly calming his agitated heart, he was quickly brought back to reality by the cold, eerie air around him.

To his surprise, the eighth floor was completely abandoned. All the dormitory rooms were empty, and the floor was littered with wooden racks and other items used for drying clothes.

Before the incident, this floor must have been a large drying area.

As Xia Tianqi carefully examined the area, a red figure suddenly appeared in his line of sight and then disappeared into one of the dormitory rooms.

Although it was just a moment, Xia Tianqi was very sure he hadn't hallucinated. Something, or someone, had indeed entered the empty dormitory not far from him.

Without thinking, Xia Tianqi immediately turned and fled down the stairs, feeling a pair of cold eyes watching him from behind.

Only when he reached the duty room on the first floor did Xia Tianqi finally breathe a sigh of relief. He realized how dangerous it had been, and if he had chosen to investigate or stay, who knew what might have happened.

"Now I can only hope that Liang Ruoyun didn't lie to me, and that the ghosts here are not as powerful as those in the bookstore."

Although he tried to reassure himself, Xia Tianqi had no confidence. Even if the ghosts here were not as powerful as those in the Xin Hua Bookstore, as a completely ordinary person who knew nothing about ghost-hunting techniques, he would still be in grave danger if he encountered one.

But then he thought about it and realized it didn't make sense.

If the company really wanted them, the "newbies," to die, why go through so much trouble to arrange everything? They could have easily tricked them into going to their deaths, saving them the trouble of struggling.

Moreover, from what Liang Ruoyun had said, she hoped the newbies would survive, and she herself had climbed the ranks from being a newbie.

So logically, whether or not they knew how to catch ghosts didn't seem to matter much for passing the probationary period.

Could ordinary people really deal with ghosts?

But how exactly?
