"Huh? This is..." Jiang Han looked at his hands, stunned for a moment, then suddenly startled, "Did I return to the Tianwu Continent?"

Recalling the time in the dark space, Jiang Han felt a sense of relief. Even if he hadn't returned to Earth, it was better than staying there!

Suddenly, he thought of something and looked up. Jiang Han immediately saw the two burly men who were on high alert, and the scenes from before flashed through his mind.

Soon, cold sweat dripped down his face.

In that situation, he had actually fainted. Although he had subconsciously put on the Mad Rhino Battle Armor before losing consciousness, it was still extremely dangerous. If other adventurers had found him, even if they couldn't deal with him immediately, they might eventually break through the armor if given enough time!

Feeling a wave of fear, Jiang Han looked at the two men, his brows furrowed, and a sense of doubt gradually arose in his mind.

He examined the Mad Rhino Battle Armor and found no signs of attack, which meant these two men hadn't tried to kill him!

But that didn't make sense. He had clearly expressed his intention to kill them before. Why hadn't they made a move?

"Why... didn't you kill me?" After a long silence, Jiang Han hesitantly spoke.

Seeing that Jiang Han didn't attack, the two brothers also breathed a sigh of relief. Hearing his question, they both rolled their eyes.

"Do you think everyone is like you, always thinking about killing? Not only did we not kill you, but we even saved you!" The shorter, stocky man glared.

"He's already gone mad, no need to explain too much to a lunatic," the other man added with a sneer.

Jiang Han was taken aback. He looked around and realized he was in a cave. So, the two men hadn't lied. In a way, they had saved him.

He soon smiled bitterly. He didn't understand what had happened before. He didn't know why he had become like that. Even if he was afraid of his secret being exposed, he shouldn't have had such a strong desire to kill.

"Gone mad, huh? Maybe..."

Jiang Han wasn't unfamiliar with the term "gone mad." On Earth, he often saw villains in martial arts dramas go mad after losing control.

But it didn't quite fit. Now, thinking back, the feeling at the time was like two different souls were in conflict... Wait!

A strange light flashed in Jiang Han's eyes, and then a deep fear spread across his face, causing his body to tremble.

Could it be... the original owner of this body hasn't completely disappeared?

Two souls, sharing the same body?

Jiang Han's eyes glazed over, as if he could see himself and another soul fighting for control of the body. He shivered and shook his head.

"Dead is dead, no need to cause more trouble!" Jiang Han suddenly waved his hand, shattering a nearby rock into powder.

The loud noise startled the two men, who didn't know what had gotten into Jiang Han. They quickly stepped back, watching him warily, ready to defend themselves.

"Kid, we saved you, do you still want to attack us?" the shorter man said sternly.

"Exactly, you can't be that ungrateful! How can you repay kindness with enmity?" the other man added.

Jiang Han ignored them and silently asked the system in his mind.

"System, you said you're in my soul, so..." Jiang Han gritted his teeth, "Is there another soul in my body?"

"No." The system replied, then added, "Not now."

"What do you mean?" Jiang Han was confused.

"Your body did indeed have another consciousness, but it has now completely merged with you, so it's not there now," the system explained.

"Merged..." Jiang Han was dazed, his lips twitching, "So, am I still me?"

"That depends on how you see it," the system's words were profound.

Jiang Han fell silent. According to the system, he was now a fusion of two souls, but the other soul's consciousness had been erased, so he was in control.

But was he really still him?

His mind was a mess, and Jiang Han felt a bitter taste in his mouth.

Living a normal life on Earth, he had never expected this to happen. Now, he didn't even know if he was still himself.

Was this the cruel twist of fate?

Fate... what is it...

Jiang Han sat on the ground, putting away the Mad Rhino Battle Armor, and stared at the campfire in a daze.

The two men, seeing Jiang Han shatter the rock and then stand there in a daze, sat down. Suddenly, the iron armor on his body disappeared, leaving them stunned.

They exchanged a glance, and the shorter man couldn't help but ask, "Where did your iron armor go?"

Jiang Han just stared at the campfire, as if he hadn't heard.

"Hey, kid, I'm talking to you! Even if you don't want to talk, at least acknowledge me!" the shorter man said.

Jiang Han turned his head and looked at him blankly, ignoring him.

"Damn! If you don't answer, I'll get angry! I'm very scary when I'm angry, you better not push me!" the shorter man, his face red, roared.

"Brother, take it easy!" the other man patted his shoulder sympathetically, "You'll get used to being ignored after a while."

At that moment, Jiang Han slightly turned his head and opened his mouth.

"Ah."

The two men: "..."

"You're a straightforward guy!" the shorter man took a deep breath and gave a thumbs up.

"I'm hungry, do you have any food?" Jiang Han spoke, his voice a bit hoarse.

He had come to a realization. No matter what, he should be grateful. The one who was erased was the other consciousness, not him. Being alive was the most important thing!

As for fate... let it go to hell!

Jiang Han always believed in one thing: "My fate is in my hands, not in the heavens." If he became strong enough, he could change his fate!

"There... there's food." The two men were taken aback by Jiang Han's question, but the shorter man quickly reacted and handed him a piece of meat.

"Um... the meat you gave him, isn't it raw?" the other man hesitated.

"Ah?" The shorter man was stunned, then slapped his head, "Damn, I forgot!"

He quickly reached out to stop Jiang Han, but when he looked up, he saw Jiang Han silently putting the meat to his mouth and taking a bite.

"Finished..." The shorter man put a hand to his forehead.

Sure enough, as soon as Jiang Han took a bite, he spat it out with a "puh," his face turning green.

"Damn, it's raw! You did this on purpose, didn't you?!"

Jiang Han glared at the shorter man, wishing he could swallow him whole.

The shorter man looked embarrassed, "I was about to remind you, but you already ate it. It's not my fault."

"So, you're saying it's my fault?!" Jiang Han raised his voice, eyes wide.

"I didn't say that, you did," the shorter man shrugged.

Jiang Han: "..."

"Here, this one is cooked, you can eat it." The other man, seeing Jiang Han about to explode, quickly handed him a piece of cooked meat.

Jiang Han looked at the cooked meat expressionlessly. He saw tooth marks on it and his face darkened, "You've already eaten this, haven't you?"

"Uh." The man's lips twitched, and he laughed dryly, "You caught me."

"Please remove the tooth marks before you give it to me!" Jiang Han took the cooked meat from the shorter man and walked to the fire to cook it.

"Can you even cook meat?" the shorter man asked curiously, "You look like a city boy, is this your first time here? Do you need me to teach you how to cook?"

Jiang Han ignored him, placed the meat on the rack, and started cooking it skillfully.

Joke! Although he hadn't cooked since coming here, he often barbecued at gatherings on Earth!

"Wow, you really can do it, I didn't expect that!" the shorter man laughed.

"If you don't talk, no one will think you're mute," Jiang Han glanced at him coldly.

"I agree with that!" the other man nodded in agreement, "I often tell him that."

The shorter man: "...Fine, I'll be quiet."

Without the shorter man's chatter, the surroundings became much quieter, with only the sound of the campfire and the sizzling meat. After a long while, Jiang Han broke the silence.

"I still want to know, why didn't you attack me?"

Jiang Han said softly, "After all, we were enemies before."
