Chapter 15: First-Class Adventurers

6 min read1,500 words

At the entrance of the Loki Family Headquarters, the Hall of Twilight.

Today, a bustling scene that had never been seen in the past two days unfolded here.

The family members who had been stationed at the base were now showing unprecedented excitement and enthusiasm, cheering and welcoming a group of people.

Rige descended from the tower and arrived at the gate just as the group was being surrounded by the stationed family members, all of whom were beaming with joy, creating a lively atmosphere.

Rige's gaze almost instantly locked onto the leader of the group.

There, a few individuals with a much stronger presence than the others caught his eye.

"Finally back!"

The one who let out an energetic cheer was a girl with a wheat-colored complexion, dressed in a dancer-like style, with only a thin piece of cloth covering her upper body and a long wrap skirt around her waist, exposing her navel and graceful limbs without reservation.

"Tiorna, you're so noisy."

The one who scolded the energetic girl with a wheat-colored complexion was a girl who, except for her waist-length hair and some of her figure, looked almost identical to the other, as if they were carved from the same mold.

"How many times have you shouted since we entered?"

Beside them, a young man with animal ears on his head, a tail on his waist, and a tattoo on his face, who looked like a delinquent, clicked his tongue and showed a frustrated expression.

The Amazonian twins and the young werewolf were bickering in the most conspicuous spot.

However, the three people standing next to them had an even stronger presence.

They were a trio consisting of a dwarf, an elf, and a gnome.

The gnome, shorter than anyone present, with a childlike appearance, looked like a human child.

The elf, with emerald green hair and a white robe, holding a silver staff, had a pair of slender, pointed ears and a beauty that rivaled that of the gods.

The dwarf, broad and muscular, wearing thick armor, was only slightly taller than the gnome and shorter than the elf, with visibly bulging muscles.

These three seemed to be watching over something, smiling at everyone present, exuding a sense of warmth and kindness.

Rige's gaze swept over these three and then, as if drawn by something, his eyes involuntarily focused on the last person.

However, before Rige could fully observe this person, a loud voice interrupted him and intruded on the warm scene.

"I've missed you so much!"

Loki, who had just rushed out of the tower, lunged toward the group's leaders.

To be more precise, Loki lunged toward the last person who had caught Rige's attention.

"Ais!"

Loki, like a middle-aged man seeing his beloved woman, let out a strange cry as he pounced on the other person.

Everyone present saw it happen.

They saw the gentle golden hair suddenly move.

"Bang!"

With a sound like an explosion, the owner of the golden hair sidestepped and punched Loki in the chest.

"Ugh!"

Loki let out a stifled cry, expelling all the air from his lungs, and fell to the ground in front of the golden-haired person.

"I'm back, Loki."

A voice devoid of any inflection came from the other person.

The clear and melodious voice revealed that the owner of the golden hair was a young and beautiful woman.

And indeed, it was.

The girl standing in front of the fallen Loki had a face that still retained some childishness, a slender body clad in azure light armor, delicate and smooth skin, and a face with perfectly symmetrical features, a beauty that rivaled that of elves and goddesses.

She had eyes that matched her hair color, faintly glowing with a transparent light, and exuded an aura that was almost otherworldly, like a work of art that seemed almost too beautiful to be real.

The only drawback was that her beautiful face lacked expression, giving her a distant and aloof appearance.

Faced with this overly beautiful doll-like girl, Loki struggled to lift his face.

"Your skills have improved, Ais."

Loki forced a smile, one that looked more like a grimace.

"You deserve it, Loki!"

The energetic Amazonian girl, Tiorna, approached, her face full of schadenfreude.

"We're exhausted, Loki. Please don't bother us now. Let us rest first, okay?"

The other Amazonian girl, who looked much more mature, sighed and appeared.

"Tch."

The young werewolf also looked impatient, showing no respect for the god.

However, there was no uncomfortable atmosphere between them, only a natural and harmonious feeling.

This indicated that their relationship was not only good but very close, close enough to interact without any reservations or inhibitions.

— "Family."

Rige saw this distant and somewhat unfamiliar term in the scene before him.

At this moment, the trio who had been watching from the back finally stepped forward.

"We're back, Loki."

The noble elf woman, with a serious yet warm voice, spoke to Loki.

"Get up, don't just lie there."

The dwarf warrior pulled Loki up with ease, as if he were lifting a doll.

Finally, the gnome, the shortest of all, with hair the color of wheat and eyes like a lake, and a face that looked even more youthful than anyone else present, spoke.

"The expedition has ended successfully, with no casualties, but the gains were not significant. I'll explain the details later. For now, let everyone take a good bath and rest, Loki."

The gnome youth, with an unexpectedly mature tone, reported to Loki.

"Sure thing!" Loki immediately grinned, as if nothing had happened, and said to everyone, "Everyone, good job. Go rest now!"

"Yes!"

The family members who had returned from the expedition responded.

"Those who stayed at the base, help us bring the spoils inside."

The gnome youth gave instructions to the surrounding people with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Yes! Leader!"

The people who had stayed behind immediately went to help.

Only Rige remained standing in place, watching the group enter the Hall of Twilight, laughing and talking, his gaze fixed on the leaders.

Not only Rige, but all the other family members, whether they had stayed at the base or gone on the expedition, looked at the leaders with admiration and affection.

This was only natural.

After all, these few were the pinnacle of the Loki Family, the pillars of the family.

They were powerful.

They were renowned throughout the world.

Among the adventurers who explored the labyrinth, the world divided all adventurers into upper-class and lower-class based on their levels.

Lower-class adventurers referred to those at level 1, while upper-class adventurers were those who had experienced a level-up and reached level 2 or higher.

Upper-class adventurers were further divided into third-class, second-class, and first-class adventurers.

Level 2 adventurers were third-class adventurers.

Level 3 and 4 adventurers were second-class adventurers.

Level 5 and above adventurers were first-class adventurers.

Generally, if a family had a third-class adventurer, it would be considered to have moved beyond the realm of a small family and gained a certain status in Orario.

If a family had a first-class adventurer, it would have a significant influence in Orario.

A family with multiple first-class adventurers could be considered one of the top families in Orario and even the world.

The Loki Family was one of the top families, truly standing at the pinnacle.

These few were the first-class adventurers of the Loki Family.

"Tiorna Sylph, level 5, Amazon, Loki Family officer, title—[Great Cutter]."

"Tione Sylph, level 5, Amazon, Loki Family officer, title—[Raging Serpent]."

"Bert Rock, level 5, werewolf, Loki Family officer, title—[Fierce Wolf]."

These three were the Amazonian twin sisters and the young werewolf who had been speaking earlier.

The other trio was even more impressive.

"Finn Tymna, level 6, gnome hero, Loki Family leader, title—[Hero]."

"Levi Lios Alf, level 6, elf royalty, Loki Family deputy leader, Orario's strongest mage, title—[Nine Demon Maidens]."

"Griss Landrock, level 6, dwarf warrior, one of the top leaders of the Loki Family, title—[Heavy Hero]."

These three were the strongest leaders of the Loki Family, all part of the top leadership, and had been with the family since its early days, leading it to its current glory.

Even in all of Orario, there were fewer than ten level 6 adventurers, and the Loki Family had three of them.

As for the last person—

Rige once again focused his gaze on the doll-like girl walking among the crowd, who was somewhat quiet and reserved.

"Ais Wallenstein, level 5, Loki Family officer, the strongest female swordsman."

"Title—[Sword Maiden]."

A whisper, like a breeze, drifted away.

"?"

The girl, who was about to enter the tower, seemed to have heard something and turned her head, looking in Rige's direction.

Their gazes met.

For a moment, it seemed as if the world around them disappeared, and they saw only each other.
