Chapter 50: A Promising Future

In front of the mansion, in the garden.
Each member of the Familia gathered here, constantly moving things, coming and going through the main gate, looking like an endless stream of people.
Large cargo boxes filled with supplies were placed on carts, and the three leaders were directing others to do the final checks and counts. Even the officers were helping to organize living supplies like tents. Only Tiona quietly stole some of the emergency rations, only to be caught and scolded by Bert and Tione.
Everyone had something to do, and even Raphi was helping Reviar check the list of supplies. Only Ais stood there, looking troubled, wanting to help but not knowing how, truly a refreshing sight among the crowd.
Rig just happened to come out of the mansion and was immediately spotted by Ais.
"Rig."
Ais called out in relief, as if she had found her organization.
Ais's call also drew the attention of the others present.
"Mr. Rig!"
Raphi instinctively wanted to run over but then remembered her work and stopped.
"Hmph."
Bert let go of Tiona, snorted, and turned his head away.
The others also looked at Rig, the new member of the Familia who had become a legend in Orario in just over a month. Some were envious, some were admiring, but none were jealous.
After all, he was their junior, their family, their companion. The better he did, the stronger the Familia would be, and that was a good thing.
It had to be said that Loki, though unreliable, had an eye for talent. No one he chose had a flawed character, which was why Allen often joked that they were a loving family.
In just over a month, Rig had observed and remembered the performances of these Familia seniors.
This was something he had never experienced, even in his previous life, in a family bound by blood.
The family bond he had never experienced was not found in a family bound by blood, but in this Familia connected by the god's divine blood. Perhaps this was a form of irony.
Rig was not one for many words, but he silently remembered everything and walked into the large group of the Familia.
"You're late! Rig!"
Tiona immediately jumped out, grinning at Rig.
"Sorry."
Rig looked around and realized he was indeed the last to arrive. Even though it wasn't past the departure time, he still apologized sincerely.
"Never mind her, she just wants to divert attention from her snacking."
Tione revealed Tiona's thoughts.
Finn, Reviar, and Grace also approached.
"How are you?" Finn smiled and asked, "Are you ready?"
Rig smiled back and nodded.
He knew that Finn wasn't asking about the expedition preparations but about the updated ability values for the expedition.
Clearly, the three leaders had noticed that Rig had visited the god's chamber before leaving.
"This is truly exciting." Grace said loudly, "With your growth rate over the past few days, you must have made great progress, right?"
"Judging by your appearance, you must have made great progress." Reviar observed Rig's expression and then smiled, "You must be a Level 5 now, right?"
This statement made all the members around them hold their breath.
Especially the Level 5 first-tier adventurers and the Familia officers, who all unconsciously perked up their ears, even Ais and Bert were no exception.
"Is it that easy?"
Rig saw their reactions and immediately smiled bitterly.
The past few days had indeed brought significant progress to Rig.
He was now Level 4, and theoretically, improving basic abilities should have become much harder. However, in just a few days, he managed to train "Dexterity," "Agility," and "Magic" to the S stage, and "Strength" and "Endurance" to the A stage. This growth rate was still astonishing.
However, no matter what, Rig could not have reached Level 5 in just a few days.
"Without achieving a great feat or accumulating high-level experience, I can only progress further in Level 4, definitely not level up."
Rig's words relieved many people secretly.
They were genuinely nervous, fearing that Rig would say he was already a Level 5 first-tier adventurer.
It wasn't that they couldn't bear to see Rig improve, but the reality was too challenging, easily making people lose the confidence to continue striving.
Unfortunately, the Familia leaders seemed to want more excitement and broke their relief.
"Our goal for this expedition is the ultra-deep layers, even the unknown floors that no one has reached." Finn smiled, "There will be plenty of opportunities for you to accumulate high-level experience along the way."
"That's right." Grace stroked his beard and added, "Not to mention the floor bosses. Just defeating them will give you enough high-level experience to complete a significant portion of your accumulation, if not level up."
"Even with the experience being divided among the team, it will be safe enough." Reviar looked at Rig, "This time, you can't act recklessly like before. Remember to cooperate with the team, unlike some troublemakers who always rush out."
As she said this, Reviar subtly glanced at Ais.
"..."
Ais felt extremely embarrassed and turned her head away, looking very guilty.
Rig also felt a bit uneasy.
He couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't lose control and rush out.
This was something Raphi wanted to point out, as she had the right to speak.
During their team-up, Rig often rushed out without a word.
"Oh, it looks like we'll have another Ais in our team."
Tiona gloated.
"I hope you don't cause trouble for the captain."
Tione warned.
"Newbies are newbies, don't drag us down."
Even Bert coldly added.
Rig and Ais looked at each other, completely puzzled as to why they had suddenly become the targets of everyone's criticism.
But they didn't dare to say anything, only standing there, one scratching his face, the other trembling.
"Alright, that's enough. Let's give them a break."
Finn chuckled, turned his head, and looked toward the Central Tower.
There, in the highest god's chamber, the laid-back god was as usual lying on the window, looking at them with a relaxed smile.
However, for some reason, everyone could sense that the god's gaze contained encouragement, vigilance, and a hint of affection.
"Go."
It was as if everyone heard a soft whisper.
The wind-borne whisper ignited a flame in everyone's heart.
Including Rig.
"Alright!"
Finn's youthful face became serious and authoritative.
From this moment on, the small human was no longer a kind senior but the leader of the strongest Familia in Orario, the captain of the Loki Familia.
And the captain's order was only one.
"Let's go!"
