Just resting for a moment in the same spot, Chen Yang checked the surveillance software on his computer, found that the focus was normal with no issues, and hurriedly took the wiring materials and walked out of the basement.

According to the Right Hand's requirements, another surveillance camera needed to be installed outside the basement door, directly facing the corridor leading to the basement. Chen Yang walked around, stroking his chin and frowning.

It would be difficult to lay the wiring here. When the small building was constructed, no one had considered so many details, especially since the basement was only used for storing miscellaneous items, and there was no opening left for the wiring to enter.

To connect the power and signal lines, there was only one way: to drill two new holes, half a meter apart.

This was quite troublesome, making Chen Yang sigh as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Troublesome, really troublesome, I hate trouble the most..."

No matter how much he cursed in his heart, Chen Yang had to work hard. Otherwise, if the Right Hand woke up at around nine o'clock and found that he hadn't finished, he would face a nightmare.

"Clap, clap..."

At that moment, footsteps echoed from above the corridor, and a delicate figure slowly appeared. It was Xiao Rui, the woman.

"Mr. Chen, what are you doing here?"

Xiao Rui was surprised. As she walked down the stairs and looked up, she saw someone standing at the entrance, who turned out to be the landlord, Chen Yang.

Chen Yang stiffly raised his head, glanced at Xiao Rui without any emotion, and seemed to realize that his expression was off. He then forced a strained smile: "Oh, are you getting ready to go to work?"

"Yes, I am. Mr. Chen, you're up early too."

When she said she was going to work, only Xiao Rui herself knew that she was actually job hunting, and she didn't know if she would find a job.

After a few steps, Xiao Rui approached Chen Yang and curiously looked at the wiring and brackets in his hands, asking, "Mr. Chen, what are you planning to do?"

It was natural for her to be curious. Seeing Chen Yang dressed like that, anyone would want to ask.

Of course, Chen Yang couldn't say that it was an alien's plot to monitor you ugly humans. He calmly thought and said in a relaxed tone, "Recently, there have been some petty thefts in the area, so I thought I'd install a surveillance camera to protect everyone's property."

He lied without changing his expression.

Xiao Rui didn't suspect anything. No one could imagine such an inside story. She just smiled politely and nodded, "I see. Mr. Chen, you go ahead, I'll be leaving now."

With that, she walked out of the door, moving further away from this huge "plot."

Watching her back, Chen Yang

With that, she walked out of the door, moving further away from this huge "plot."

Watching her back, Chen Yang

To think, Chen Yang's small building, including the rooftop, had a total of five floors. Apart from one vacant room on the first floor, six rooms on the second, third, and fourth floors were rented out.

One of the tenants on the second floor was Xiao Rui, a young woman around Chen Yang's age, who was working hard every day to pursue her dreams.

Across from Xiao Rui lived two young female models, who were also striving for their great dreams, working hard at various car shows and game expos.

On the third floor, a room was rented to a family of three. The man was an alcoholic and a gambler, the woman was a mahjong "expert," and their son, who had surpassed his parents, was a rebellious teenager who grew up in a violent home.

Across from this family lived a man in his thirties who commuted between the city center and the suburbs every day, with nothing much to say about him.

On the fourth floor, the situation was more complex. The room on the right was shared by three women, and the one on the left was occupied by a couple. Chen Yang didn't know much about them. As a landlord, as long as the tenants weren't criminals, it didn't matter who paid the rent.

After surveying the surroundings, Chen Yang, with no other choice, started drilling holes in the wall above the door. Fortunately, the wall was relatively thin, and it took him an hour and a half to install the entire surveillance camera.

After finishing, he didn't dare to rest. With only half an hour left, Chen Yang, panting, carried the equipment and tools up to the rooftop, standing at the edge in the morning sunlight.

Standing at the edge of the rooftop and looking down, Chen Yang was a bit puzzled. Wasn't this height a bit too high?

However, since it was the Right Hand's order, he didn't dare to question it. He installed the pan-tilt unit and the surveillance camera, then, without bothering to secure the wiring, he dropped the signal and power lines down and pulled them into the room through the hole for the network cable.

He then ran the wiring through the two holes he had drilled earlier into the basement, tidied everything up, and found that it had only taken him half an hour, just within the time limit set by the Right Hand.

Chen Yang let out a sigh of relief, put aside his anxiousness, and began waiting for the Right Hand to wake up.

"Is everything done?"

The Right Hand woke up silently.

"Ah, yes, yes, everything is done, sir, please take a look."

Pointing to the three surveillance feeds on the monitor, Chen Yang was nervous, fearing the Right Hand's dissatisfaction and criticism.

"Hmm, not bad, I didn't expect you to be of any use."

The Right Hand's words were very insulting, but Chen Yang, no, this bastard, didn't get angry. Instead, he "moved" to tears, "Thank you for your praise, sir."

"Don't call me sir anymore."

The Right Hand extended like rubber and started typing on the keyboard.

"According to your human custom, you can call me Ross..."

Screw?

Chen Yang was taken aback but quickly realized it should be Ross. However, wouldn't it be more interesting to call him Screw?

His lips curled slightly, as if he had achieved some victory, and he respectfully said, "Yes, Screw sir."

The Right Hand, maliciously named Screw, didn't sense any hostility or resentment from Chen Yang's mind and continued typing on the keyboard.

The images on the screen were beyond the comprehension of the poor human, Chen Yang. He sat in a chair, letting the Right Hand handle the computer, while he remained dumbfounded, not knowing what to do.

After an hour or two, Chen Yang, with a fearful voice, gently asked, "Screw sir, what are you planning to do?"

"Game, a mobile game."

Game?

Chen Yang's mind couldn't process it. The entity in his right hand was an extraterrestrial being, or an alien. But when did aliens and mobile games become related?

The Right Hand seemed in a good mood and even took the time to explain to the lowly human, Chen Yang: "I'm going to develop a mobile game. First, to solve the money problem, and second, to collect information and plant backdoors."

Plant backdoors?

The moment those words were said, Chen Yang immediately thought of viruses and other terms. He suddenly understood. Indeed, indeed, he thought, aliens wouldn't have the leisure to develop a silly game. The real purpose was to plant viruses.

Impressive, impressive, Chen Yang looked at his right hand with admiration. Earning money from humans while secretly planting the seeds of human destruction, aliens were indeed very cunning.

What could he say? Chen Yang felt that his decision to ally with the alien was right. Such an evil alien, abandoning human principles and immediately kneeling to it was indeed the smartest move.

The Right Hand didn't understand the various thoughts floating in Chen Yang's mind. Its speed was almost at the limit of the keyboard's response, and lines of code were being written at a terrifying speed, flowing down.

Based on the information it had gathered, the Right Hand looked down on the current mobile game engines and decided to develop its own mobile game engine, which was a challenge for it.

This ancient and backward binary computer based on integrated circuits was very cumbersome to program, with low efficiency. Despite its vast knowledge, it had to "think" carefully before starting, which made its speed slow.

Of course, the coding speed that the Right Hand found slow would be enough to shock a top programmer.

Developing a game engine wasn't something that could be done easily. It was like building a skyscraper, and for one person to complete it alone was already arrogant. Even more astonishing was the speed at which the building was constructed, which was many times faster than a team of hundreds of workers. This was simply impossible!

For example, the MAX-FX engine for "Max Payne" took over four years from its initial prototype, FinalReality, to its final product. The LithTech engine took five years to develop and cost $7 million, which gives you an idea.

Fortunately, what was impossible for humans was just a joke for the Right Hand.
