Wang Bai was stunned for a full five seconds, then he smiled and reached out to rub her forehead, saying, "Silly girl, you don't have to sympathize with me like this!"

Lu Lu knew he wouldn't agree immediately, so she dodged his hand and said, "I'm serious, Wang Bai. Listen to me carefully. Even though I can't be your first woman, I'm willing to let you be my first man, but you must stay with me for the rest of your life. If you can do that, I'll give myself to you. I hope my love, either doesn't start, or lasts a lifetime."

Her tone was clear and cold, her face slightly flushed, but her gaze was firm, not feigning. She wasn't unconditional; the conditions she proposed seemed harsh, but perhaps they were the dreams of every young girl.

Would Wang Bai agree?

He shook his drunken head, confirming this wasn't an illusion, then said, "I'm sorry, from the moment you came to my house, you should have understood something. If we were to be together, my parents would definitely strongly oppose it. You might be forced to leave. More importantly, my mother would be very disappointed, because she trusted us, which is why she arranged for us to live together despite my father's opposition."

Lu Lu deeply remembered the kindness of her aunt. Now, her grandmother had moved into a nursing home as her aunt had promised, and the Lu family, young and old, lived under her protection. Wang Bai's words made her heart waver. Considering the consequences, she really didn't dare to take a chance.

"Besides," Wang Bai added, completely dispelling her thoughts, "I don't love you, so I can't give you that promise, and I can't take anything from you."

After saying this, he looked at the dazed Lu Lu and said, "Let's go, it's getting late. I'll take you back to your dorm."

"If one day!" she suddenly said urgently, "I mean, if I have the ability and decide to move out of your house, and you fall in love with me, would you be willing to stay with me forever?"

"I can't abandon my parents for a woman," he said, somewhat angrily.

"That's not what I mean," she shook her head, "I mean, if there is such a day, would you be willing to marry me? Would you be willing to seek forgiveness from my aunt and uncle for me?"

His expression softened, and he thought seriously for a moment, then nodded, "If one day I really fall in love with you, I'll ask them to let us be together." Then he smiled, "Actually, you should know that they oppose us now because we're still young. If we wait a few years and grow up, I think my mother, who likes you so much, might even ask you to stay at our house as a daughter-in-law."

His joke made Lu Lu pause, then she said with a twinkle in her eye, "I will make you fall in love with me, remember your promise. And if there is such a day, it won't work if my aunt asks me; I want you to propose to me seriously before I consider it."

Wang Bai took it as a joke and laughed foolishly. Seeing him laugh without seriousness, she thought he was mocking her for asking for a proposal, feeling both embarrassed and angry, she stomped on his foot hard.

"Ouch!" Wang Bai jumped, "Why did you step on me?"

She huffed and pouted, turning to walk back to school. He hopped behind her, "Slow down, wait for me, I'll take you."

Later, when Wang Bai returned home, he explained that he had been out with a junior and his phone had been off, so he came back late, and his parents couldn't reach him. Since he was safe, his parents were relieved, but they warned him to call home if he was going to be late next time, or he would be grounded.

Wang's father added, "Recently, the town isn't very peaceful, with hooligans causing trouble everywhere. It's said that after a few big hooligans were arrested, some small hooligans are re-dividing the territory. You didn't come back so late, we thought something had happened to you. During this period, you'd better stay at home after school, don't run around, to avoid trouble."

He reminded him of another thing, "That Ah Bing who caused trouble in the neighborhood, for some reason, didn't participate in the fight between Cha Si and his big brother, so he wasn't arrested. Recently, it's said he's been causing a lot of trouble. Be careful, if you encounter him, don't fight, and call the police immediately."

Wang Bai was shocked and nodded, saying he understood. Originally, he thought that since Cha Si had a conflict with the big hooligans, it was probably because of Ah Bing bullying his sister, so Ah Bing would have been the first to be attacked in the fight. He didn't expect Ah Bing to have avoided it.

With his father's warning, he became more cautious about the matter, and immediately thought of Lu Lu, worrying about her. He said, "Dad, the incident was because of Lu Lu. Is it dangerous for her to stay in the school dormitory?"

"Probably not..." Wang's father wasn't sure, "Your school has a gatekeeper and on-duty teachers, they shouldn't cause trouble in the school."

"But it's hard to say. The gatekeeper is an old man, how can he stop those hooligans? Besides, at night, only a few teachers patrol the classrooms where the boarding students study. If Ah Bing really brings people to find Lu Lu, I'm afraid no one will be able to stop him."

Hearing this, Wang's father frowned, "So, staying in the school isn't as safe as staying at home?"

"Yes, I can accompany her to and from school, and if something happens, I can protect her. You said, if all else fails, we can call the police. But if Lu Lu is caught at school, it's uncertain whether anyone will intervene."

Wang's mother added, "Your son is right. It's safer to have Lu Lu stay at home. Wang Bai, go to the school again today and bring your sister back. From now on, she shouldn't stay in the school dormitory. Come home after school."

He nodded and put down his backpack to leave. On the way, he called Lu Lu, but her phone was off, probably because she had returned to the classroom for evening study, and he couldn't reach her.

At this moment, a minivan appeared at the school gate of Guanglin Middle School. A young man with a hat got out and greeted the old gatekeeper, saying he needed to deliver a package to the dormitory building. Since he had a lot of items, it would be inconvenient to carry them in multiple trips, so he asked the old man to open the gate and let them in.

The old gatekeeper's eyesight wasn't good. He glanced and saw another person in the driver's seat, but the inside of the car was dark, and he couldn't see what was in the back. However, he didn't suspect anything, and the young man was polite, so he opened the gate and let them in.

The minivan drove into the school, and the young man with the hat took it off, revealing a head of yellow hair. A hand from the back seat patted his shoulder and said, "Put the hat back on! You'll have to coax that girl out later."

The hand had a clear tattoo, and the person speaking revealed a fierce face from the darkness. The yellow-haired young man quickly put the hat back on, "Yes, Brother Bing!"

The car stopped beside the teaching building, and the young man with the hat got out, looked around, and saw no one paying attention. He went up the stairs to the classroom of Class 2-7.

Before coming, they had already found out that the girl was named Lu Lu, and the boy was named Wang Bai, both students of Class 2-7. Lu Lu was a boarding student who studied in the classroom at night, while Wang Bai was a day student who had probably already gone home. Brother Bing's plan was to first capture Lu Lu, then use her to lure out the boy, and then torture them both.

Thinking of Brother Bing's evil intentions, the young man felt a fire in his lower abdomen, muttering, "We'll probably take turns with that girl in front of the boy today. Tsk, tsk, I hope she's still conscious when it's my turn, or it won't be fun."

The young man walked to the classroom door, peeked inside, and saw no teachers, so he felt relieved. He walked to the window and asked a student, "Classmate, is there a student named Lu Lu in your class?"

Because his voice was friendly and didn't sound like a bad person, the student didn't even bother to look up, just turned his head and pointed to Lu Lu in the front row of the second group, "There she is."

Hearing someone was looking for her, Lu Lu looked up in confusion, saw the person, and didn't recognize him. However, the young man looked gentle and didn't seem like a bad person, which was why Brother Bing often used him.

She hesitated for a moment but still put down her pen and said to Yu Jia, "I'll go see what it's about." Yu Jia was doing her homework and glanced at the young man outside the window, thinking he was a suitor, and smiled bitterly, "Go ahead, give him some face."

Lu Lu walked out of the classroom and talked to the man in the corridor. After a few sentences, she understood his intention. The young man claimed to be a former follower of Cha Si, saying that when he visited his big brother in the detention center today, his big brother asked him to bring some gifts to her, including clothes, shoes, and a laptop, all bought by his big brother's friends outside, hoping she would accept them.

Hearing this, Lu Lu didn't suspect much and was touched by her brother's concern. However, she declined, saying she didn't need these things and suggested they take them back for their own families, and she would appreciate their kindness.

The young man tried to persuade her again, saying that if she didn't accept them, he would have no face to go back. Since that was the case, she might as well go down with him. The car was parked downstairs, and the items were in the car, along with a few of his friends. If she refused, she could tell them directly, and they wouldn't blame him.

This time, Lu Lu felt a bit wary, but then she thought that they didn't come in a large group to avoid affecting her, and only sent a gentle-looking young man to deliver the message, which showed consideration. She felt it was too much to doubt them.

Moreover, she thought that in broad daylight, no one would kidnap her. She wasn't a rich girl; she was just a poor child without parents. Besides, her real brother was already in the detention center, so if anyone wanted to harm him, they wouldn't use her as leverage now.

After thinking it over, she didn't realize that their target was actually her and Wang Bai. So she went back to the classroom and told Yu Jia that she was going downstairs to meet some of her brother's friends and would be back soon.
