Chapter 89 of 100
Chapter 89
7 min read1,756 words
Deadpool gently took off the Adamantium samurai sword from his back. The blade gleamed coldly, as clear and bright as a pool of water, refreshing to the soul. In his eyes, the world suddenly slowed down, so much that even the cold light reflected by the blade became clear and transparent. The tip of the sword lightly pressed forward, forming a stance for drawing the sword.
Then, the blade shone like snow.
Deadpool's neural reflex speed was enough to see flying bullets clearly. His body's coordination and agility could keep up with this terrifying reaction speed. The sharp senses honed by life and death situations allowed Deadpool to make precise judgments at critical moments, relying on his intuition instead of his brain.
Deadpool's sword technique was direct and accurate. He abandoned all martial arts variations, using his superhuman sense of time to drag his opponent into a rapid confrontation. Under such speed, all techniques were mere talk.
But intuition is intuition, and technique is technique. When there is a terrifying existence in this world that can replace the subconscious with consciousness, and whose sensitivity to time is even stronger than Deadpool's, a straightforward sword technique becomes a laughing matter.
Chen Ang extended two fingers. In this life-or-death moment, he pinched the indestructible Adamantium blade as if taking something from his pocket.
His nails were neatly trimmed, and his hands were well-protected, long and white, without any calluses from long-term friction. They looked like ornaments. Deadpool had secretly mocked these hands, as they seemed to belong to a weak, pale-faced man.
But these two fingers clamped the blade like a vise, holding it firmly.
Deadpool swallowed hard, looking at his long sword, which seemed to be rooted in Chen Ang's left hand. "I think we can talk. What did you say just now? The plans of the Earth King and the others have nothing to do with me!"
"You don't seem fast enough!" Chen Ang said with a smile.
"Depends on who you're comparing me to!" Wade joked habitually.
Then, he knew he was wrong. Chen Ang didn't like his jokes.
The sword wasn't fast, or rather, Chen Ang didn't make it fast. For a master of gravity manipulation, speed, time, and space were no obstacles. If Chen Ang wished, he could make the blade appear directly in Deadpool's heart.
But this time, Chen Ang didn't cheat by using his powers to bully someone who didn't understand physics. Such things couldn't be done often, or they would quickly lose their fun.
He used ordinary strength and speed, employing a sword technique that didn't defy physical constants or the laws of the world. Deadpool could clearly see the blade inching toward him, slow as a snail. With his neural reaction speed, he could have slashed sixteen times in that moment.
Could such a sword technique hurt someone?
When Deadpool saw his neck blood flying like a flag, he was still puzzled. The blade had already cut across his throat, and he was powerless, unable to dodge the slow blade.
When he dodged the blade's thrust, Chen Ang's sword changed unexpectedly. With just thirteen variations, Deadpool was forced into a corner, forced to block with his long sword. When the blade and sword met, he felt an indescribable tremor, and Chen Ang easily knocked his long sword away.
A hidden destructive force disrupted Deadpool's coordination. He could feel his internal organs being slightly damaged, impairing his ability to act. Recovery would take time, and the next moment, the blade pierced his throat.
"You're not only not fast enough, but your technique is also lacking!" Chen Ang wiped the dim blade, leaving no trace of blood, which slid off the blade as if it had never been there.
Wade opened his mouth to say something, but the burning pain in his throat made him give up. He was surprised to find that his healing ability was suppressed to the minimum. Though it kept him alive, it couldn't heal his wounds. Blood stained his chest, and Deadpool, who usually ignored such things, now realized his fatal mistake.
His legs gave out, and he knelt on the ground, feeling his strength ebb away and the dizziness from losing blood.
"Superpowers are a third hand, even a sixth sense. You should observe, use, and feel them. Humans use their hands to create tools, not to wave stones around. Such simple and easily破解的使用方式,就像小孩子过家家一样。

And such a simple and easily破解的使用 method, like children playing house. Your abilities have no secrets in front of me."
Chen Ang stood solemnly in front of Wade, controlling the nanobots to heal Wade's wounds, and sighed, "The same ability cannot be used twice in front of a scientist. Once we understand it, there are no more secrets."
"You need to develop new special moves!"
He turned to leave, but suddenly, a large crack appeared in the ground, and the earth beneath Chen Ang's feet became as muddy as a swamp, trapping his feet.
"How about it? Our new special move is pretty good, right!" Colossus charged over, grinning maliciously, "Thanks to you, our abilities have undergone a new transformation. The change in fluid properties can make steel as sticky as glue. Your fragile body, without your abilities, is nothing!"
"Where did your gravity manipulation go? Try moving. See if the iron blade pierces your body faster than your ability can activate. Releasing the Master of Illusions was your biggest mistake."
As if to vent his frustration as a test subject, Colossus controlled his body to sprout vicious steel spikes, "Now, I'm going to use the gift you gave me to show you some colors."
He swung the alloy spikes on his arms and walked toward Chen Ang.
"Did you hear what I said just now?" Chen Ang said calmly.
Colossus didn't expect him to say that, paused, and asked, "What?"
"If you had listened, you would know that your abilities have no secrets in front of me." Chen Ang walked out of the mud, the fluid gradually losing its effect on his body, and the spikes were sealed in steel with a scream.
Colossus was stunned by this sudden change. He watched in horror as the "fluid" was covered by nanobots, and Chen Ang easily escaped their trap, approaching them.
"You made two obvious mistakes. First, without your abilities, I still have my brain. Even without abilities, dealing with you, whose abilities have been thoroughly studied, is still a pipe dream."
Nanobots quickly appeared around Colossus, and he was horrified to find that the bots, glowing with electromagnetic light, nearly paralyzed his body, making it difficult for him to control himself.
Chen Ang approached him and said calmly, "Second, the ones who become fragile without their abilities are you."
"Do you think I'm fighting you!" Chen Ang sneered, "But in fact, the battle ended three days ago. Exploring unknown territories, studying the laws of abilities, and uncovering the mysteries of your abilities, in science, I am engaged in a battle full of unknown possibilities with your abilities. I might lose, or I might win."
"Science is unknown. When I study, it is a fierce battle, using wisdom and knowledge to explore and discover, fighting the unknown and fighting myself. This battle is so grand, and when the experiment ends, I unravel the unknown secrets of your abilities, and at that moment, I have already won!"
Nanobots sprayed synthetic substances, and Colossus's body quickly began to rust. The hard alloy steel crumbled into fragments in the air. Colossus screamed as he watched his limbs become fragile, and a small amount of specially made rusting agent put him in mortal danger.
"The battle between my science and your abilities ended long ago. Your challenge is just a repetition of solving a problem. Your abilities, apart from your powers, are zero. They are not even considered in the problem-solving process. Honestly, you are just upright apes. Give a monkey your abilities, and it wouldn't be much worse."
Colossus's face turned ashen, and even Deadpool felt a chill. Chen Ang had hit a fatal point: without their abilities, what were they?
So the battle was between Chen Ang and the abilities, not between him and them. When the abilities lost, their intelligence and abilities were completely useless.
Chen Ang said calmly, "How many ways do you think I have to deal with your alloy body? Oxidation, rusting, electromagnetism, metal-eating bacteria. A solved problem, solved again, has many answers. This is purely a matter of physical effort. I act, and you lose. You didn't even give me an unknown variable."
Chen Ang stepped aside, revealing the Earth King sealed in concrete. He approached Colossus, letting the nanobots heal his body, and said,
"Also, I don't like controlling people, so you were able to escape Jason's sensory control. I believe human intelligence will give me different surprises, not like robots. I don't lack strong subordinates. Unfortunately, you have forgotten how to use your brains and live like animals."
"Curiosity about the unknown, the courage and wisdom to explore the unknown, are what distinguish humans from other animals." Chen Ang walked out, letting the robots take them back to the lab. He had long given up on the Earth King and the others. Without sufficient intelligence and knowledge, they couldn't even understand their own powers, like children wielding a hammer.
When Chen Ang took away the hammer, they became useless, like waste. Such people, Chen Ang didn't even care to control, because even if it happened a hundred times, they wouldn't improve. After thoroughly studying their abilities, they were only valuable as experimental materials to him.
Chen Ang gave them a chance to show their abilities as warriors, but unfortunately, they didn't use their brains. These experimental materials ultimately had only the fate of being experimented on.
They thought their failure was a fluke, but they didn't know.
The same problem can't stump a scientist twice. (To be continued)
