### Chapter 35: An Accident Occurs

While they were chatting, the car in front of them suddenly came to a screeching halt. Fortunately, Hyori reacted quickly and managed to brake in time, but the car behind them didn't react fast enough and rear-ended Hyori's car, causing her chin and stomach to hit the steering wheel.

Jihui hurriedly asked Hyori, "Are you okay? Are you okay? Did you hit your chin? What's going on with the car in front? I'll go check it out."

Hyori, frowning and holding her chin, instructed Jihui, "Be careful."

After a while, seeing that Jihui hadn't returned, Hyori also got out of the car to check the situation.

Since all the cars were insured, after some negotiation, Jihui and the other party exchanged phone numbers. During this time, the other party recognized Hyori and tried to get her phone number.

The two of them got back into the car, and Hyori, looking at Jihui with concern, asked, "Are you okay?"

"I don't know, my back hurts a bit... I was a bit scared just now."

Hyori reached out to check Jihui's forehead, "It's a bit red here, are you sure you're okay?"

"I don't know, I don't think I hit it," Jihui said, scratching her head.

Hyori, holding her stomach, said, "Ah! I think I hit it, my stomach hurts."

Jihui quickly asked, "Where did you hit it?"

"Probably my ribs, it's all because the car in front braked suddenly."

"Did we hit them?"

"We didn't hit them."

"Damn it, they just ran away, and it was a brand new car, sigh." Jihui angrily cursed and took out her phone. "I'll call Oppa Shin-haeng."

While drinking and chatting with friends, Lee Shin-haeng's phone suddenly rang.

A friend patted his shoulder and teased, "Shin-haeng, it can't be Hyori checking up on you, right?" Everyone laughed.

Lee Shin-haeng smiled but didn't explain, "I'll take the call outside."

"Hey, Jihui, what's up, Oppa?" he said, walking to a corner and answering the call.

"Oppa Shin-haeng, Hyori and I had a small accident on the way home. Hyori hit her ribs on the steering wheel. Can you come back now?" Jihui explained to Lee Shin-haeng.

"Are you hurt? Is it serious?" Upon hearing about the accident, Lee Shin-haeng immediately asked anxiously.

"It's not very serious, probably just a bruise. Please come back."

"Okay, I'll be right there." He hung up the call, bid farewell to his friends, and said there was an issue at home. Everyone quickly asked if they could help, but Lee Shin-haeng declined their offers and went out to hail a taxi to head home.

Opening the door and entering the house, he saw Hyori lying on the sofa and quickly walked over, squatting in front of the sofa and asking anxiously, "Where does it hurt? Let me see."

Hyori lifted her shirt, "My ribs hurt."

There were some red marks below her right chest. After checking Hyori for a while, Lee Shin-haeng sighed in relief, "Thankfully, there's no fracture. I'm not sure if there's any cracking, but it's just a muscle bruise. Let me apply some medicine." Because of his love for sports, he was familiar with injuries and could handle most minor ones himself.

He found the first aid kit and, since it was too early for a hot compress, simply sprayed some Yunnan Baiyao on Hyori, "I'll spray some medicine to relieve the pain, and we'll go to the hospital tomorrow for an X-ray." He helped her put her shirt back on. "Come, I'll carry you upstairs." He carefully carried her upstairs.

Entering the bedroom, he gently laid her on the bed and carefully removed her coat and pants, "Go to sleep, call me if anything happens." Lee Shin-haeng said gently as he lay down beside her.

Hyori obediently closed her eyes and went to sleep.

After she fell asleep, Lee Shin-haeng went downstairs and called her agent to explain the situation and take a leave. He didn't sleep well all night, waking up every time Hyori moved slightly. Hyori, on the other hand, slept soundly until morning, probably because the medicine had numbed the pain.

### The Next Day, 7:35 AM

Lee Shin-haeng woke up later than usual today. Seeing that Hyori was still asleep, he got up, washed up, and went downstairs to make breakfast.

He fed the cat and made a simple sandwich for himself for breakfast. Hyori shouldn't eat anything before the examination.

He didn't go to the gym for his usual workout. After breakfast, he went upstairs to take Hyori to the hospital for a check-up.

Standing by the bed, he saw Hyori's frowning face and knew she hadn't slept well, probably because she was scared from last night's incident. Although she didn't wake up during the night, she kept tossing and turning in her sleep.

"Kitty, kitty, wake up." He gently patted her shoulder to wake her.

"Mm... What time is it?" Hyori asked, her voice hoarse.

"It's almost nine. Sit up slowly and see if your ribs still hurt."

Hyori supported herself with her hands and slowly sat up, pressing her ribs and frowning, "They still hurt a bit."

"I called Manager Mi-ya and took a leave. We'll go to the hospital today and rest at home after the check-up."

After Hyori washed up and changed clothes, the two of them drove to a nearby hospital.

After filling out the registration form, they sat on a sofa and waited. Soon, they were called by the doctor. They explained the issue, and the doctor began the examination. They also took X-rays to check for any rib problems and did some additional women's health checks.

The doctor confirmed that there were no rib fractures, just a muscle bruise, and prescribed some ointment. Her breasts were also healthy with no issues.

After returning from the hospital, since they were resting at home today, Hyori, with nothing to do, took out the laptop given by fans and sat in the living room, holding the cat and browsing the internet to check news about herself.

"Buzz... buzz..." The phone on the table vibrated, showing a call from her agent, Manager Mi-ya.

"Hey, Manager Mi-ya."

"How was the check-up? No problems, right?"

"Um, just got back, no major issues, just a muscle bruise."

After a while, Hyori finished the call and explained to the camera, "Manager Mi-ya called and said I was invited to throw the first pitch at the baseball opening ceremony on the 7th, but unfortunately, I can't go because of my injury."

Hyori shrugged, "So, I'll just go to watch the game and cheer for them. Yeah! I'll wear a pretty sports T-shirt that day, watching baseball is really interesting, hehehe..."

"By the way, I should check which team is playing on that day, LG or Samsung, which one should I support?" Hyori said to herself in front of the computer. "I should cheer for the team with the handsome players, but Oppa shouldn't hear that. Hehehe..." she whispered to the camera.

All of this started from here...

### March 7th, Sunny

They got into Hyori's car at 6:30 AM to go to the baseball opening ceremony. Both of them were wearing matching couple's hoodies, baseball caps, and jackets.

On the way, they picked up Manager Bae-yoon, who teased, "Oh, our new son-in-law!"

After the New Year, Lee Shin-haeng and Hyori had already registered their marriage.

"Manager Bae-yoon, hello, where's Oppa? Isn't he coming with you?" Lee Shin-haeng asked.

"He'll come a bit later."

They chatted all the way to the baseball stadium, and Hyori put on her sunglasses before getting out of the car. On the way to the ticket gate, many fans recognized her and shouted, "Ah!! Lee Hyori... Lee Hyori is so pretty... It's Lee Hyori..."

They arrived at the VIP seats, and Xiao-xie and Kim Yoo-ran had bought coffee and some pastries.

After waiting for a while, the two teams walked out onto the field, and the host began introducing the players. After the introductions, the players threw signed balls to the audience.
