Chapter 62: Variety Show Invitation?

Lee Shin-hang wasn't against Hyo-ri participating in the show; he was just surprised. After all, the show was quite tiring, even though it was advertised as a leisure outdoor program, it was still a filming session, not a real vacation.

"The production team wants you and Hyo-ri to participate in this show together."

"Why? I'm not an entertainer," Lee Shin-hang was full of questions.

"Although you're not an entertainer, you're still somewhat part of the entertainment industry. After Hyo-ri's life documentary aired, everyone knows you've written several movie songs and screenplays."

Lee Shin-hang felt a bit awkward, "But I don't have any experience. Apart from appearing on Hyo-ri's show a few times, I haven't been on any other shows."

"Without experience, you can start slowly. Hyeon-woo didn't have any experience either, but he still participated. You can think of it as accompanying Hyo-ri for a two-day trip to the countryside, just relax and enjoy it," Liu Zaishi persuaded him skillfully.

Lee Shin-hang thought for a moment, "Brother, let me go back and discuss it with Hyo-ri first, see what she thinks. I don't mind either way."

"Alright, alright, I won't pressure you. Think about it when you get back," Liu Zaishi didn't continue to persuade him, "But, can you make me some lunch now? I'm hungry."

Lee Shin-hang looked at the time, it was already around one o'clock. He felt that they hadn't chatted for long, but an hour and a half had already passed.

"Alright, wait here, Brother. I'll go make some lunch. How about noodles?" Lee Shin-hang stood up and asked.

"Great, great, I love noodles," Liu Zaishi nodded in satisfaction.

"Then wait here, Brother." Lee Shin-hang said and walked out of the rest room.

Lee Shin-hang went to the restaurant kitchen, selected some ingredients and a bundle of buckwheat noodles, and came to his private small kitchen.

He took out a pot, filled it with water, and started boiling. He sliced cucumbers, purple cabbage, and carrots. After the water boiled, he added a piece of chicken breast, a few slices of ginger, and a little cooking wine.

Before the chicken breast was fully cooked, Lee Shin-hang prepared the sauce. He put Thai sweet and spicy sauce, soy sauce, aged vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and lemon juice in a bowl, added minced garlic and chopped green and red peppers, and mixed the sauce well.

He tested the chicken breast with a chopstick, which easily pierced through, indicating it was fully cooked. Then, Lee Shin-hang left the small kitchen and soon returned with a large soup bowl filled with water and ice cubes.

He placed the chicken breast in the ice water to chill, and blanched the purple cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts in boiling water, then cooled them in the ice water, drained them, and shredded the chicken breast.

He cooked the buckwheat noodles in boiling water, not for too long, just until they could be easily broken, then chilled them in ice water. After draining the chilled noodles, he placed them in two large soup bowls, arranged the vegetables and shredded chicken, and poured the prepared sauce over them. He put the bowls on a tray with chopsticks and, on his way out of the small kitchen, picked up a plate of sliced braised beef, and returned to the backyard rest room.

"Oh~! You're here, you're here, I've been waiting!" Seeing Lee Shin-hang bring in the lunch, Liu Zaishi, who was lying down, immediately sat up, ready to eat.

After placing the tray on the table, Liu Zaishi didn't wait for Lee Shin-hang to set everything up; he picked up a bowl of noodles and started stirring, praising, "Wow, it looks so good, I don't even need to taste it to know it's delicious!"

After stirring, he took a large bite of noodles, "Suck... Suck..."

"Mmm~!... Mmm... Mmm..." With the noodles still in his mouth, he tried to speak, gesturing to Lee Shin-hang, who didn't understand.

"Alright, alright, just eat your noodles quietly." Lee Shin-hang waved his hand, slightly annoyed.

Finally, Liu Zaishi swallowed the noodles and praised, "Shin-hang, why didn't you teach Jeong-eun to make this? It's so delicious, sweet and sour with a slight spiciness and a hint of coolness, very refreshing, really delicious."

"Brother, be content. I know many dishes, and you can't expect Jeong-eun to learn them all. That would take forever. Don't be too greedy~!" Lee Shin-hang teased.

"But it's really delicious," Liu Zaishi grumbled, unwilling to let it go.

"Brother, try this braised beef. It's made with Chinese herbs, which are very nourishing for the body," Lee Shin-hang changed the subject.

Liu Zaishi, who was about to get married, immediately picked up a piece of beef and started eating it upon hearing that it was good for his health.

"Mmm, mmm, the taste is really good, not at all dry, and it has a hint of herbal fragrance," Liu Zaishi commented satisfactorily.

After lunch, Liu Zaishi left the cafe, and Lee Shin-hang returned home after he left.

"Alas, I'll make you some midnight snack tonight, kiss~!" After the call ended, Lee Shin-hang put away the phone.

Today, Lee Shin-hang had to eat dinner alone again. This had been the case since Hyo-ri returned from their honeymoon. Due to the accumulated work from the vacation, Hyo-ri was busy catching up with the album's progress and rarely had time to come home and eat with Lee Shin-hang.

Holding Mimi, who was sitting on the sofa, Lee Shin-hang lay down on the sofa.

"Mimi, your mommy isn't coming back for dinner again. It's so pitiful for daddy to eat alone at home," Lee Shin-hang poked Mimi's nose, talking to himself.

After lying on the sofa for a while, Lee Shin-hang let Mimi go and walked to the kitchen.

He took four large meatballs from the fridge and put them in a pot to steam. This was dinner for the children. Since he was eating alone, Lee Shin-hang didn't want to bother cooking, so he planned to eat out and take a walk to pass the time.

After setting the timer on the stove, Lee Shin-hang left the kitchen and went to his studio.

When he pushed the door open, the most eye-catching thing on the table in the middle of the room was the Star Trek spaceship model. The model had been assembled for a while, but Lee Shin-hang hadn't sprayed it with a clear coat until yesterday.

Lee Shin-hang went up to examine it closely. It wasn't completely dry yet; it would take another two days to fully dry.

Once he delivered the Star Trek spaceship model to the cafe, he could start assembling the Black Pearl, which he had bought recently. He had been looking forward to it, but he decided to finish the spaceship first.

After checking, Lee Shin-hang returned to the kitchen, and the children's dinner was just steamed. He took the meatballs out and put them in the cat bowl, breaking them into small pieces. After they cooled down, he would feed them to the children.

He washed his hands and went upstairs to change clothes.

In no time, he came down wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt with letters and a pair of five-eighths length jeans.

He came to the kitchen, touched the meatballs, and found they were no longer hot. He put the cat bowl on the floor. Without his call, the children gathered around.

"Enjoy your meal, be good at home, daddy is going out for a bit." Then he got up and walked to the door.
