Chapter 82

Suddenly, the unexpected information about the special training made Da Fei ecstatic.

Training a high-level 4th-grade succubus into a 1st-grade scout indeed transcended the ordinary "scout training" category, so the information about the "Special Forces Training Technique" appeared. If this were a divine-level skill, it would likely be the gateway to truly mastering the divine-level reconnaissance technique!

Think about it, how did I master the Grandmaster-level reconnaissance technique? Of course, it was by continuously collecting and perfecting the information on the already exposed weaknesses of the Crocodile BOSS through the "Intelligence Collection" skill, which led to the mastery of the Grandmaster-level reconnaissance technique and the "Intelligence Analysis" skill.

By analogy, continuous use of the "Train Scout" skill will surely lead to a breakthrough!

To verify his idea, Da Fei immediately fetched a large bundle of pastries and drinks from the kitchen. These were the delicacies given by the officials during the expedition, which not only replenished stamina and health but also temporarily boosted various statuses. Players who practiced cooking could make them.

Da Fei drank two sips of Dawn Honey Dew, instantly replenishing his stamina. Only high-grade ingredients could instantly replenish stamina. Then he removed the Blood Eagle Flute and tried the "Train Scout" skill under the Grandmaster-level reconnaissance technique.

— System Prompt: Do you want to train the "Underage Succubus" into a scout unit?

Confirm!

With a chime, 500 gold coins were spent. Then his stamina rapidly decreased, 50%, 10%, and turned red! Stamina depleted! Failure!

— System Prompt: Very unfortunate! Your scout training failed!

Da Fei's eyebrows twitched! The system prompt was different! This time it didn't say the failure was due to insufficient stamina, but directly declared the failure! And there was no further information about the "Special Forces Training Technique" skill!

Da Fei burst into laughter, and the curtains in the palace seemed to dance with the wind. I've got it!

The answer was right in front of him. Training a succubus scout was something only a divine-level reconnaissance technique could do. Once I succeed, it means I will truly master the divine-level reconnaissance technique! This Blood Eagle Flute is indeed a worthy S-grade treasure! I didn't make this trip in vain! Haha! Hahaha!

Now, Da Fei equipped the Blood Eagle Flute again, drank two sips of honey dew to replenish his stamina, and then grabbed another bottle of honey dew.

— System Prompt: Do you want to train the "Underage Succubus" into a scout unit?

Start! A white light enveloped the succubus's entire body. Stamina decreased, turned red, and then Da Fei drank the honey dew in his hand, fully replenishing his stamina! Stamina continued to decrease, halved! Damn, it seems even two full stamina bars aren't enough?

Da Fei panicked and shouted, "Deirdre, quickly give me a bottle of Dawn Honey Dew!"

Deirdre chuckled, "Right away, Master!"

The second stamina bar was depleted, and Da Fei drank the third bottle of honey dew! Continue, decrease! Just then,

— System Prompt: Very unfortunate! Your scout training failed!

— System Prompt: You have collected information about the "Special Forces Training Technique" skill!

Da Fei was stunned! Another failure? What caused it? But it doesn't matter, the skill information appeared again! This means it's reliable. This situation is probably similar to when I was fighting the Crocodile, where I had to repeatedly collect information. So, let's continue.

Deirdre suddenly said, "Master, wait a moment!"

Da Fei was surprised, "What is it?"

Deirdre said, "The little succubus's stamina has dropped to 0, and she can't receive your training. She needs to rest properly."

Da Fei finally understood. It wasn't just him who was being drained! So, he sighed, "Let her eat something and rest well. Give her the pastries I brought."

Deirdre chuckled, "Master, she's just a soldier. Feeding her such good food is a waste. Ordinary fresh water and coarse grain will do."

Da Fei smiled bitterly, "I... I treat my soldiers like my children. It's fine." Sigh, I'm in a hurry! I can't wait to master the divine-level reconnaissance technique to open up the situation for the next day. Who knows how much of a stir my national war mission has caused? The longer I stay in the Pool of Light, the more disadvantageous it is for my attack on the Abyssal Blood Pool.

Deirdre chuckled, "Master, I am a master of training units. I see the problem, please listen to my advice."

Oh? A subordinate is giving advice! I'm not alone! Da Fei's spirits lifted, and he said with surprise, "Please speak! There's no need for formality, I'm not a demon king, so don't be too polite in the future."

Deirdre smiled sweetly, "Is this the first time Master is using the training skill?"

Well, someone noticed I'm a newbie? Da Fei couldn't help but blush and nod, "Yes."

Deirdre smiled, "That's it. Master's skill proficiency is too low, which is why the stamina consumption is severe. This makes the task much harder and less likely to succeed. So, I suggest Master practice to improve skill proficiency."

So, there's such a thing as skill proficiency in training! Da Fei was pleasantly surprised, "How do I practice?"

Deirdre seductively pointed to her chest, "Of course, Master should practice with me!"

Da Fei was startled, "How can that be? Even underage ones can't, and you are a... veteran. Is it like mining, where higher-grade ore increases proficiency faster?"

Deirdre smiled, "Of course, I am also a training master. I will fully cooperate and guide Master!"

Oh~~~ cooperation and guidance, so that's how proficiency is practiced! Da Fei was elated! Good! Good! As a newbie, I need training, hahaha!

Deirdre smiled, "Master, hold me tight!"

Da Fei was overjoyed, "Do I need to hold you?"

Deirdre chuckled, "This is skin-to-skin contact, heart-to-heart connection. Only this way can I fully guide Master!"

Da Fei's mouth dropped open as he nodded, "Good! Good!" Being able to get a succubus, a succubus who can help me practice my skills, is fantastic!

— System Prompt: Do you want to train the "Succubus Instructor Deirdre" into a scout unit?

Confirm! Then 500 gold coins were spent, and his stamina was depleted. The succubus in Da Fei's arms was enveloped in a white light, and of course, "Very unfortunate, you failed!"

Then the two of them, in a loving mood, ate pastries and drank honey dew to replenish their stamina, and continued. They continued to fail, eat, and fail again. Each time he saw her eat the pastries with such a soul-stirring expression, Da Fei felt something was off. I say, darling, are you just here for the pastries? As a succubus instructor, can your desires be so simple? How tough is your demon world?

Dawn was breaking. Although there was no day or night underground, a new day had begun.

After a night of折腾 (tengzhe, meaning "torture" or "trouble"), Da Fei failed 50 times, and 25,000 gold coins were gone! Money is just a matter of deception, I don't mind. And the effect of the failed training was indeed significant; the stamina didn't drop as drastically, and it only failed when it dropped to 50%, saving a lot of pastries.

Deirdre smiled, "Master, now I will talk to this little one and calm her down. Master, get ready."

Da Fei reluctantly released her and nodded, "Okay."

Now, everything was ready.

Deirdre led the little succubus over and smiled, "Master, do you remember the feeling of hugging me?"

Da Fei was surprised and laughed, the feeling of wanting to touch, of course, he remembered! The meaning behind the NPC's question was... Hmm? Wait! At this moment, Da Fei suddenly noticed that among the status effects from the food, there was a new icon resembling lipstick, "Succubus Embrace"? Increase the succubus's affinity? What does this buff do?

Deirdre pushed the little succubus, "Go!"

The little succubus, under Deirdre's guidance, pounced into Da Fei's arms, startling him! Hey, hey, hey! Even if you want to throw yourself at me, it should be a beautiful little girl, not an ugly duckling! Is this the correct way to train a succubus?

Right, training is a two-way effort. I must try hard, and the little succubus must cooperate. Although I don't know what the "Succubus Embrace" icon means, it's clear that Deirdre's embrace last night was very effective. The little succubus was ready, and now it's up to me.

Great, now I have the proficiency, the right posture, and full stamina. Let's start!

— System Prompt: Do you want to train the "Underage Succubus" into a scout unit?

Confirm!

The stamina slowly decreased, and when it dropped to 30%, a heavenly voice appeared!

— System Prompt: Congratulations! You have successfully trained a new unit!

Success! One success! Da Fei ecstatically threw the little succubus in his arms into the air! Heavenly voices kept coming!

— System Prompt: Congratulations! Through training the scout unit, you have further mastered the essence of reconnaissance. Your reconnaissance skill has advanced to the divine level!

— System Prompt: You have trained a new unit and mastered the special skill "Special Forces Training Technique"
