Shaking his head, he decided to let it be. Seeing how his brother-in-law was afraid of his sister, he figured that even after she got married, she would still be the one in charge. As long as his sister was happy, it didn't matter if he, the little brother-in-law, suffered a bit.

Chen Fei comforted himself with these thoughts as he ran quickly out of town. However, for some reason, the thought of his sister getting married made him feel very bitter and melancholic.

Rushing out of the town, Chen Fei didn't stop. Under the dim moonlight, he ran familiarly to a small forest outside the town, where he had a secret base.

The dark forest couldn't hinder Chen Fei's steps. There were no venomous snakes in this forest, and if any snakes dared to come out, Chen Fei would have snake soup for dinner. Kids these days weren't afraid of snakes, rats, or insects; they were all delicious meat. The thought of it made him drool, and he would pounce on them immediately.

Under the dim moonlight, one could see a tree branch spreading out like an umbrella in the forest. This tree was strangely surrounded by a circle of thorny bushes, with dense vines wrapping around the branches, forming a space between the roots and the thorns.

Seeing this place, Chen Fei couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. He had planted the thorns and vines around this tree when he was five, and he had built this secret place with his own hands.

After checking the direction, Chen Fei pulled aside a clump of weeds, bent down, and crawled through a doghole-like passage he had deliberately left.

Entering the space of over fifty square meters, Chen Fei immediately felt at ease. Although the moonlight was blocked by the leaves, making it pitch black, he felt a sense of security. Feeling around the roots, he took out a flint and lit the oil lamp on the tree trunk, illuminating the space.

With the light, one could see that the place was very clean, with stone slabs neatly laid on the ground. Chen Fei had stolen these slabs from the town, taking more than half a year to lay them all. Besides the slabs, there was an old low table under the roots, with a fat water pot, a few overturned cups, and a stack of towels on it.

"Hmm, I need to practice," Chen Fei muttered to himself, starting to take off his clothes. Soon, he was naked and began to punch and kick in the enclosed space.

Chen Fei wasn't just randomly punching and kicking; each move was made after a moment of stillness, clearly following a specific technique. However, after practicing for less than half an incense stick's time, he stopped, picked up a towel to wipe his body, and muttered, "Really, why do I sweat so easily? This sweat is oily, sticky, and smelly! I waste a towel every time. Practicing is so hard; all my pocket money goes to buying towels! Well, at least it's better than buying clothes."

After wiping himself, Chen Fei sniffed the towel and immediately gagged, throwing it far away. He drank some water from the pot and started practicing again.

Chen Fei had built this base not only for his own pleasure but also to practice naked. He hadn't even told his sister about this, let alone the leader. Why didn't he tell anyone? It was because of his teenage pride. The oily, smelly sweat that came from his body could kill anyone, which he had discovered when he started practicing martial arts at five, leading him to build this base.

Just as Chen Fei was about to use his second towel and continue practicing, a bright red light shone through the gaps in the leaves, followed by a loud boom that shook the ground.

Chen Fei's eyes immediately filled with curiosity. More curious than a cat, he quickly put on his clothes, blew out the oil lamp, and crawled out of the doghole. Looking around, he saw red smoke rising from a valley not far away and excitedly ran over.

Chen Fei, who had grown up in the wild, was very familiar with the environment within a few miles of Huwo Town. Even if the sky was only lit by the moon, he could run and chase rabbits in the forest. So after running for a while, he arrived at the valley.

Before he even reached the valley, Chen Fei felt a wave of heat. He realized that the red smoke was from the burning trees in the valley and exclaimed, "Oh no! This is bad! A forest fire has started." Thinking that the fire might spread to the town, Chen Fei turned to go back and warn the townspeople.

Just as he turned, a gust of wind blew from behind, and Chen Fei felt a painful thud on the back of his head. He didn't know what had hit him, and before he could figure out why the wind had suddenly started, he fainted.

If Chen Fei had seen what had knocked him out, he would have been shocked. A silver metal ball, the size of a fist, was stuck to the back of his head.

As the blood from Chen Fei's wound soaked the silver ball, the surface of the metal ball began to ripple like water and quickly turned into a liquid that spread out, completely covering Chen Fei's head. Finally, the ripples on the surface of the metal liquid flashed, and the silver liquid disappeared without a trace.

Just as the strange thing disappeared, Chen Fei groaned, rubbing the back of his head as he got up. "Ouch, what hit me?" Looking behind him, he saw a charred piece of wood on the ground, which he immediately blamed and kicked fiercely. "Damn! You hit me! You made me so painful!"

After venting his anger, Chen Fei turned to look at the valley and saw that the flames had diminished, with only a few trees still burning.

"Strange, such a big forest fire was extinguished by that gust of wind? But where did that wind come from?" Chen Fei scratched his head in confusion but immediately gasped and pulled his hand back. A large bump on the back of his head was very painful, causing him to kick the piece of wood again.

Suddenly, he stopped and stared, then rubbed his eyes and reached out to touch in front of him, exclaiming, "Heaven! What is this thing in front of me?"

Chen Fei was extremely shocked because a palm-sized circular image had appeared in front of his eyes. In the center of the image was a small, flashing white dot, and around it were tiny images of flowers and grass.

Chen Fei blinked hard, but the image was still there even when he closed his eyes. He gasped, "Is this inner vision? But inner vision is for seeing the meridians in one's body. What is this thing?" He took a few steps back in panic.

However, as he stepped back, he noticed that the light dot in the circular image didn't move, but the images around it did, moving back as he did.

More importantly, Chen Fei realized that the scenery around the light dot was the same as the scenery around him, just much smaller. The scenery in his eyes was dim, but in the circular map, it was bright and vivid, like a sunny day.

Chen Fei tried walking toward a tree, and the light dot in the circular image moved toward the tree.

This discovery made Chen Fei jump up. "Wow! It's a map?" But he immediately grabbed the back of his head and shouted, "Damn! You dared to possess my body? You monster, get out of me! Don't you know my leader is a ninth-level warrior?"

As Chen Fei threatened and tried to persuade, a thought suddenly appeared in his mind: "XXX Detector binding complete, cannot be unbound. Please provide energy for upgrade."

"Uh, what detector? Binding? Cannot be unbound? Provide energy for upgrade? What are you talking about? Get out of my head, or I'll make you pay," Chen Fei threatened, stunned for a moment. No one likes having something strange in their head.

However, no matter how much Chen Fei talked, the thing in his head didn't respond, and the map remained in front of his eyes.

With no choice, Chen Fei sat down, enduring the pain in his buttocks, and tried to sense his brain with his mind. Naturally, he found nothing, and the bump on the back of his head began to swell down.

If it weren't for the map clearly visible in front of his eyes, Chen Fei might have thought he was just hit by a branch.

"What's going on? Having a map always in front of my eyes is so annoying," Chen Fei muttered helplessly. As he said this, a thought suddenly appeared in his mind: "Mentally say 'close' to close the detector, 'open' to open the detector. It is recommended to keep the detector on at all times; basic functions do not consume energy."

"Only an idiot would keep this damn detector on all the time," Chen Fei shouted, immediately mentally saying "close." The map in front of his eyes immediately disappeared, and he cheered, jumping up.

However, after discovering he could control the thing, Chen Fei was only happy for a moment before becoming extremely curious and mentally said, "Open!" The circular map immediately appeared in front of his eyes, and Chen Fei eagerly began to try using it.

No matter what Chen Fei did, he only found that the small light dot was himself, and the map showed the scenery within a ten-meter radius around him. He couldn't figure out what other functions it had.
