Chapter 47

At Park Min-ya's invitation, Yoo-ri returned to the dormitory after lunch.

She didn't mention her visit to Park Ji-hoon's place; some things didn't need to be deliberately brought up.

Jessica didn't mention it either.

After the Lunar New Year, everything gradually returned to normal. Girls' Generation members like Taeyeon were busy with concerts, promotions, and preparations for a new album, along with various other performances. They were swamped, and apart from Suhyun, they had almost no interaction with Park Ji-hoon.

Park Ji-hoon, on the other hand, was completely immersed in his own world, focusing all his energy on studying and working. Director Lee Jin-fan had a high opinion of him and was always doing his best to support and teach him various aspects of directing, including social skills outside of work.

Time always passes quickly when one is focused.

In mid-February, Park Ji-hoon's only fan club was forced to close due to external pressure. It was an unofficial club with not many members, started spontaneously by some fans, and it was considered to have closed "in line with the trend."

Neither netizens nor Girls' Generation fans were very satisfied with his "marriage" to Suhyun. According to online comments, Suhyun's "husband" should have been a major idol, not an older man.

Because of this, Suhyun even called him to apologize.

On February 23rd, Park Ji-hoon and Suhyun went to Sangdo-dong to see the "newlywed house" prepared by the program for the two of them. It was the second floor of a two-story building, quite small, and the tenants hadn't moved out yet. It was clear that Suhyun wasn't very fond of it.

Park Ji-hoon remained silent for a moment before he began to comfort Suhyun. He knew very well that they could have such a "newlywed house" only because of Suhyun's popularity. Initially, Jo Kwon and Sun Jia-ren had started with container homes.

As a man, his pride was somewhat hurt, and he felt a sense of guilt towards this innocent little girl. She, who was not good at lying, had initially shown her dislike but, upon noticing his discomfort, actively said, "It will be better after some renovation."

This innocent little girl really wasn't good at lying! When Park Ji-hoon adjusted his mood and jokingly asked if they should look at other houses, the little girl immediately responded with delight!

In the end, nothing came of it.

After viewing the house, the filming ended. Park Ji-hoon returned to the set, and Suhyun went to attend the university's welcome ceremony for new students. It was the day of Dongguk University's 2010 enrollment ceremony. Due to filming "We Got Married," she couldn't attend the 1 PM ceremony, but she wouldn't miss the subsequent welcome party.

At the welcome party, she had to greet many seniors, teachers, and classmates. As a member of Girls' Generation, she was undoubtedly the center of attention, with many journalists taking photos.

One of her classmates, after greeting her, was so surprised that she sent a text message to a friend.

Not long after, a call came in.

"Min-ya! I'm in the same class as Girls' Generation's Suhyun! She's the wife of the actor Park Ji-hoon, whom you really like!" the girl said excitedly as soon as she answered the call.

"Uh-huh!" Park Min-ya responded softly, saying, "Ji-hyeon, please go up and greet her and ask if she has time. I'll come over later."

"Ah?" The girl, Park Ji-hyeon, who was Park Min-ya's high school desk mate, was taken aback and said in a low voice, "Min-ya! Don't do anything rash. Seoul isn't like our hometown!"

She was shocked!

As a two-year desk mate and good friend, she knew very well that Park Min-ya's personality was far from weak. On the contrary, she was very strong-willed! Since high school, she had known that Min-ya was a huge fan of the actor Park Ji-hoon, and she was afraid that Min-ya might do something irrational. In Goyang, everyone in the school doted on her, so it didn't matter if she caused a bit of trouble, but in Seoul, it was different! Moreover, the other party was a member of the currently most popular girl group, Girls' Generation.

"Where are you going with this? Am I that unreliable?" Park Min-ya said with a hint of helplessness, "Just tell her my name."

"Do you think today's celebrities care about a student?" Park Ji-hyeon muttered but still agreed. After all, she was one of Min-ya's only two good friends. Even if it was embarrassing, so be it!

Gathering her courage, she squeezed her way forward.

Suhyun was smiling and answering reporters' questions and having her photo taken by classmates, completely unaware of Park Ji-hyeon.

Park Ji-hyeon finally managed to squeeze inside but found that she couldn't get any closer. There were security guards, and even reporters couldn't get close to Suhyun, not out of arrogance but for safety reasons.

"Miss Suhyun, my friend asked me to ask if you have time!" In desperation, she shouted. She, Park Min-ya, and Kim Soo-ya were all sisters in spirit! If she promised something, she would do it, even if it was embarrassing. However, due to nervousness, she forgot to mention Park Min-ya's name.

"Huh?" Suhyun heard and blinked in surprise.

The people around her heard but had no intention of letting Park Ji-hyeun and Suhyun talk, and a somewhat harsh laugh echoed.

There were plenty of people who wanted to meet Suhyun!

"My friend is Min-ya, Park Min-ya, from Seoul National University!" Park Ji-hyeun's face turned slightly red, and she shouted again.

The noise that the assistants couldn't stop suddenly disappeared, and everyone turned to look at Park Ji-hyeun, even the reporters turned their cameras.

At school, Park Min-ya's popularity was second only to Suhyun.

There was another point: everyone knew that Park Min-ya was a loyal fan of Park Ji-hoon, and Suhyun was Park Ji-hoon's "wife." Park Min-ya taking the initiative to meet Suhyun... it seemed like there would be a dramatic scene!

Many of the boys, after their initial excitement, began to grit their teeth.

During this period, the pressure Park Ji-hoon faced online was partly due to their efforts! Who could blame them? This guy was Park Min-ya's idol and had "married" Girls' Generation's Suhyun. If it were a big idol like Big Bang, it would be one thing, but he was just an unknown actor. How could they not be jealous?

At that moment, imagining the scenario of Suhyun and Park Min-ya facing off over this man, the boys were almost... almost wishing they could take his place!

"Min-ya?" However, to everyone's surprise, Suhyun seemed to be very familiar with Park Min-ya, calling her by her name and walking up to Park Ji-hyeun, asking, "Thank you for your help. Could you please give me Min-ya's phone number?" She didn't know Park Min-ya's phone number yet.

"Sure." Park Ji-hyeun suddenly realized she might be being used, but in this situation, she couldn't refuse, so she entered Park Min-ya's phone number into Suhyun's phone.

"Thank you." Suhyun thanked her, apologized to the crowd, and walked to the side to call Park Min-ya.

This was a matter of personal privacy, so even the reporters couldn't follow. However, no one left; they all followed from a distance.

It was a somewhat sensational piece of news, after all.

"Miss Suhyun?" When Park Min-ya received a call from an unknown number, she asked directly.

"Yes. Miss Park Min-ya, hello." Suhyun greeted her politely. The "Min-ya" she had called earlier was out of surprise.

"Hello." Park Min-ya said with a light laugh, "Miss Suhyun, you can just call me by my name." They were the same age, and Suhyun was only a few months older, but because of Park Ji-hoon, she still called her "sister."

"Okay." Suhyun responded, "Min-ya, is there something you need?"

"Last time, my brother said he would introduce me to Miss Suhyun, but we never had the time! So, I was wondering if Miss Suhyun has time later?" Park Min-ya said.

"I'm sorry, I haven't had the time." Although she was talking about Park Ji-hoon, Suhyun still apologized before saying, "How about this evening? I can take you out for dinner, and I have a concert rehearsal in the evening."

"Sure! Thank you, Miss Suhyun." Park Min-ya agreed readily. After all, it was their first meeting, and even though they were both girls, inviting her to her home right away wouldn't be appropriate.

"Okay, I'll call you later." Suhyun said.

"Sure." Park Min-ya responded with a smile.

After ending the call, she called Park Ji-hyeun to thank her and told her not to give her phone number to anyone else. For "abandoning" her, she could only say sorry.

Soon, many people gathered around Suhyun again.

However, many of them had ulterior motives. In the short time of the call, the news of Park Min-ya inviting her to meet had spread throughout the campus, and almost everyone was speculating about what would happen when the two met.

Unfortunately, this was a matter of personal privacy.

After the welcome party, Suhyun told her assistant and went to a restaurant near Park Ji-hoon's house before calling Park Min-ya.

The assistant didn't know that Park Min-ya was Park Ji-hoon's sister and was happy that she could befriend Park Min-ya. From the current situation, Park Min-ya had a bright future! A professor at Seoul National University was no small matter.

Just as Suhyun finished the call, she received a call from Yoon-a.

"Xian, why haven't you come back yet?" Yoon-a asked.

"Unnie, I'm having dinner outside." Suhyun replied.

"Ah?" Yoon-a was taken aback and said, "Stop eating! Come back quickly, the unnie-s have a surprise for you." They were planning a small party to celebrate her entering university. They hadn't told her beforehand to give her a surprise.

"But, unnie, I already have plans with someone." Suhyun blinked and said.

"Who?" Yoon-a asked cautiously. Their maknae had a very limited social circle; how could she be meeting someone alone?

"Min-ya, Min-ya unnie." Suhyun said.

Cleverly, she didn't say "Park Ji-hoon's sister" but used "Min-ya unnie" instead.

"Ah?" Yoon-a was taken aback again.
