Chapter 74

Under the water, it was impossible to see clearly, and with the crowd either cheering or expressing disappointment, no one paid much attention to Jessica's movements. When they saw Park Ji-hoon suddenly collapse, everyone was taken aback.
Park Min-ya, who was among the staff by the shore, was the first to stand up.
"Ah! I'm sorry." Jessica was the first to realize she had kicked a sensitive area and hurriedly went to support Park Ji-hoon. However, there was nothing she could do for that part, so she could only keep apologizing.
"Hisss—" Park Ji-hoon tightly clamped his legs together, both hands covering his lower body, continuously drawing in cold air. Although the force was not great, how could such a sensitive area withstand the impact?
Rae Joon, and the others, seeing his reaction, understood and comforted him with a mix of laughter and concern. There was really nothing anyone else could do for that part.
"I'm fine, thank you everyone." After a moment, Park Ji-hoon released his hands and said. After all, it was not very graceful, and he would not have done so if it were not for the pain. Actors are very mindful of their image!
"OPPA, I'm sorry." Jessica apologized pitifully again, even using a towel to wipe the sweat or water from his face in an attempt to please him.
"It's okay." After taking two deep breaths, Park Ji-hoon managed a smile and said. It was just an accident, no need to dwell on it. However, a thought suddenly flashed through his mind—were these two sisters assigned roles? Krystal likes to use her hands, and Jessica likes to use her feet.
"Uh-huh." Jessica secretly glanced at his eyes, seeing that he was not really bothered, and she breathed a sigh of relief. She had not thought much of his overly gentle personality before, but now she felt a bit grateful.
The adult team won.
There was a short break before the second game.
Park Ji-hoon stood quietly, watching Rae Joon, Haha, and others play in the water. He couldn't help it; although the pain had lessened, he still needed to wait a bit before making any vigorous movements.
Fortunately, her strength was not great. Thinking about this, his eyes flickered and glanced at Jessica, who was still standing beside him, feeling somewhat apologetic. Surprisingly, her character was unexpectedly warm. Although they were friends, he did not know much about the members of Girls' Generation besides Taeyeon and Tiffany.
Jessica seemed not to notice his small action, but after his eyes returned, she blinked and showed a slightly strange expression.
What was he looking at?
After the play, Rae Joon asked Park Ji-hoon, "Ji-hoon, are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Park Ji-hoon answered somewhat awkwardly.
"OK! Let's start the second game." Rae Joon announced crisply.
The second game, also known as the "Gary Game," involved two teams competing. The camera crew would take photos at random intervals, and the team with more members in the photo would win.
This game was clearly disadvantageous to the girls, especially Jessica. In the first round, on the banana boat, she only made a few gestures and did not even lift her body before being pushed to the side.
On the contrary, Park Ji-hoon was the first to go up, hugging Gary and taking a photo.
No winner.
The second round was on a large buoy. The banana boat was too small and easy to capsize, making it inconvenient.
Seeing the buoy, Park Ji-hoon couldn't help but glance at Kim Jong-kook. In the past, on "X-Man," they often played this game, and Kim Jong-kook once flipped Jang Hu-dong off the buoy.
Thinking about those times and looking at the present, it felt like the stage actors had changed, with a whole new cast around him.
Just as he was reflecting, the game began, and everyone rushed to the buoy.
"Fight!" On the shore, Park Min-ya gave him a thumbs-up.
Park Ji-hoon smiled, and his slow movements suddenly quickened. He found a less crowded corner, pressed his hands down, and leaped up. Then, he grabbed Song Joong-ki from behind and threw him off.
"Ah!" Song Joong-ki was thrown off before he even saw who it was.
"Ji-hoon, don't do that." Gary, who had just arrived, called out and grabbed Park Ji-hoon's arm but was shaken off and thrown into the water.
"Ah—" Jessica, seeing Park Ji-hoon look at her, crouched down and sat on the buoy. Seeing his actions, she suddenly remembered that he was good at fighting when he was young.
Park Ji-hoon smiled, bent down, and picked her up, throwing her into the water without any hesitation.
On the other side, Kim Jong-kook had already thrown Rae Joon and Lee Kwang-soo into the water. As for Joo Seok-jin, he never had a chance to get on.
"Let's see who's stronger!" Rae Joon and the others stood aside, watching the competition between Park Ji-hoon and Kim Jong-kook.
The production team also cooperated by not reminding them to take photos, clearly waiting for the two to determine the winner. Unexpectedly, Park Ji-hoon's strength was so great—although he had a good physique, he was not muscular, and it was hard to tell how much muscle he had without taking off his shirt. His delicate features were very deceptive.
Kim Jong-kook adjusted his hat and looked at Park Ji-hoon.
The two stood at opposite ends.
Even the staff were interested.
"I bet on Kim Jong-kook!" Joo Seok-jin said suddenly.
"I bet on Jong-kook-ssi too!" Haha immediately chimed in.
"I bet on Park Ji-hoon!" Jessica also raised her hand, joining in.
However, she soon realized she was "isolated," as she was the only one betting on Park Ji-hoon winning!
Kim Jong-kook and Park Ji-hoon continued to face off, a subtle atmosphere building as both sensed the other's competitive spirit.
"OPPA, fighting!" Since the game's outcome was not at stake, Jessica cheerfully cheered for Park Ji-hoon, as she had chosen him.
Just as Jessica's voice rang out, Kim Jong-kook suddenly reached out to grab Park Ji-hoon.
"Ah—" Jessica was startled and screamed.
Park Ji-hoon's footwork was quick, and he swiftly dodged.
"Ji-hoon's reflexes are really fast!" Kim Jong-kook quickly got into a defensive stance and laughed, "It seems Ji-hoon has really learned boxing; his footwork is well-trained."
"Jong-kook-ssi's reflexes are also..." Park Ji-hoon said halfway through, then suddenly pushed with his foot, trying to knock Kim Jong-kook off. However, he did not use full force, partly because it was just a game and partly to avoid being thrown off himself.
The two embraced—well, it looked that way.
"Wow—" A chorus of exclamations rose around them.
"Ji-hoon's strength is really great!" Kim Jong-kook blinked and whispered, most of his strength going into resisting Park Ji-hoon.
"Is Jong-kook-ssi praising himself?" Park Ji-hoon joked. Although he was strong, he was clearly a step behind Kim Jong-kook and was gradually at a disadvantage.
The show often exaggerated, leading many to doubt Kim Jong-kook's strength, and Park Ji-hoon felt the same. But after truly engaging with him, he realized that his strength was indeed beyond imagination, fitting for someone who treated fitness like three meals a day!
With no other choice, he resorted to a dirty tactic.
As soon as he made a move, Kim Jong-kook sensed his intention, smiled, and relaxed, falling into the water with him. After all, he was a director now and needed to give him some face.
Rae Joon and the others also noticed but did not point it out, as this was the best outcome.
The game continued.
After another round with no winner, they moved on to the next, until finally, Gary won alone.
It was already around 7:30 PM, and everyone finally had a break.
"Thank goodness we brought extra clothes!" Park Min-ya pouted slightly as she saw Park Ji-hoon walk over. She had already changed once, and now she would need to change all her clothes.
"Right—" Park Ji-hoon said with a mix of laughter and frustration. According to his original plan, two sets of clothes would have been enough, but Park Min-ya insisted on bringing more.
He took the change of clothes and went to shower.
Then, he waited in an office at the National Science Museum.
Rae Joon, Lee Kwang-soo, and Park Ji-hoon sat on one side, while Joo Seok-jin and Song Ji-hyo sat opposite.
"Ji-hyo, which of these three do you like?" Joo Seok-jin suddenly laughed and asked Song Ji-hyo, looking at the three men.
Song Ji-hyo glanced at the three but did not answer.
"Wow—" Fortunately, Joo Seok-jin's intention was not to pressure her. He looked at the three and exclaimed, "Sitting in a row like this, it's like the history of human evolution! Ape, hominid, modern human." Referring to Rae Joon, Lee Kwang-soo, and Park Ji-hoon, respectively.
"Ha!" Everyone laughed, including Rae Joon and Lee Kwang-soo, who smiled despite being teased.
"Bro, you're a trilobite!" However, Rae Joon was not the type to let teasing go, and he almost immediately pointed at Joo Seok-jin.
Everyone laughed again, including Joo Seok-jin. Being able to take a joke was a quality of a good comedian.
As they were talking, Kim Jong-kook, Jessica, and others walked in. The production team had forgotten to inform them that they did not need to wait in separate groups and that it was time for dinner.
They had specially bought cola, soda, bread, and snacks.
"Ugh!" Park Ji-hoon, feeling helpless, got up to ask the production team for mineral water.
"You and Hyun really do seem like a couple!" Jessica noticed his actions and, after he sat down again, said softly. After knowing him for over two years, she only now realized he did not drink cola or soda.
"It's just that I don't like the taste of cola and soda; it's different from her!" Park Ji-hoon defended himself.
Jessica pouted and suddenly asked, "Didn't Min-ya prepare dinner for you?"
"It's too hot to bring food." Park Ji-hoon smiled and said.
Jessica pouted in disappointment.
"What, do you want to eat?" Park Ji-hoon, seeing her expression, asked with a smile.
Jessica pouted, acknowledging it. She had enjoyed the korokke she had eaten before, finding it very to her taste.
"Ha ha..." However, to her annoyance, Park Ji-hoon just laughed and said nothing more!
Shouldn't he have invited her to visit sometime? After all, they were friends!
