In the subsequent game, Park Ji-hoon suddenly noticed that Jessica seemed to be deliberately targeting him. Even though she herself couldn't run, she managed to drag him down into the water and would often sit on the ground, hugging his calves.
He could vaguely see the shadow of Krystal in her! However, Krystal would definitely not do such a thing; she would more likely just knock him down.
"Jessica, don't do this!" No matter how much Park Ji-hoon tried to persuade her, it was all in vain. Jessica clung to his calves like a koala, impossible to shake off.
While hugging his calves, Jessica also observed the movements of the other adult team members, telling the children's team members, as if she had all the time in the world.
However, she knew that Park Ji-hoon needed to promote the movie, so after hugging for a while, she pretended to be tired and let Park Ji-hoon escape.
This episode of *Running Man* had so many games. There were three or four piggy banks to find, plus the pool game and the bus-squeezing game in the early morning. By the time it was almost dawn, Park Ji-hoon was already struggling.
Although he had rested for a while, the aftereffects of the intense work in the first half of the year were evident. After today's *Running Man* recording, Jessica and Song Ji-hyo noticed that when he squeezed off the bus, his legs were trembling slightly, clearly exhausted.
To make matters worse, the final tally showed that his adult team had lost, and they had to stay behind to clean up.
"Fight hard!" Jessica patted his shoulder before leaving, not sure if she was comforting him or teasing him.
After finally finishing the cleaning and barely making it back to the apartment, he collapsed on the sofa, ready to sleep. If not for Park Min-ah's urging, he wouldn't have bothered to take a shower.
Needless to say, he slept until dusk.
When he groggily got up, he found Park Min-ah and Park Ji-hyeon chatting in the living room.
"Bro! You're awake."
"OPPA, you finally woke up!"
They said in unison.
"Sorry, I was really tired yesterday." Park Ji-hoon still looked half-asleep, his eyes half-closed, and he spoke lazily, "My legs are almost worn out."
"Bro, rest a bit, I'll make dinner." Park Min-ah got up and said. Although she had stayed up late the previous night, she didn't have as much physical activity, so she got up early and wasn't as lethargic as Park Ji-hoon.
"Okay." Park Ji-hoon went to wash up.
Afterward, he returned to his room, turned on the computer, and logged into his email.
In the casting notice, besides the address and the staff's phone number, his email was also left. In this era, it was common to leave online contact information.
As expected, there were about a dozen emails.
Even a movie, despite being directed by a newcomer like him, with not much "security," still attracted many young people to try their luck. Not just those who couldn't often appear on screen, but also models, students, and entertainment company trainees—many of them!
The reason there weren't more emails was that many people knew that the email was just a formality, and those who really wanted to act should come for a personal interview.
Park Ji-hoon started with the top email, downloading the attachment.
It was some photos and a self-introduction document, not very confident, seemingly just a shot in the dark. Indeed, there were people like headless flies, randomly trying their luck, completely relying on luck.
"Ah—" After reading three such emails, he shook his head helplessly and sighed.
Fortunately, he hadn't really expected much. It was his first time as a director, and he was eager to get a taste, so he couldn't wait to check his emails before the official casting. After all, he was just a young man, feeling a bit proud despite the immense pressure.
The fourth email had a larger attachment, taking nearly a minute to download.
"Hmm?" When he opened the photos, his expression froze, his eyes widened slightly, and his lips suddenly felt dry.
The next photo, and the one after that...
Suddenly, he understood why Choi Ho-jun had left his email and had that strange expression at the time!
"OPPA..." At that moment, footsteps startled him, and he quickly closed the photos, but it was too late. A scream came from behind: "Ah!"
Turning around, he saw Park Ji-hyeon looking embarrassed, her eyes wide open. When she saw him turn, her eyes darted away like a frightened rabbit.
The weather was a bit hot, and the door was wide open.
"What's the matter?" Fortunately, he had ten years of experience dealing with unexpected situations, so he asked calmly.
"OPPA, dinner is ready." Park Min-ah blinked and said with a slightly red face. She was also embarrassed by the situation.
"Oh." Park Ji-hoon got up, turned off the screen, and walked out with her.
"What was Ji-hyeon shouting about?" Preparing for dinner, buckwheat noodles, very simple, Park Min-ah had just washed her hands and come out of the kitchen. Seeing the two, she asked curiously, looking at Park Ji-hyeon's slightly red face.
Park Ji-hyeon didn't know how to answer.
"Nothing." Park Ji-hoon said lightly, "A model wanted to play a role in the movie and sent some strange photos. I didn't know beforehand, and Ji-hyeon came in just as I opened them."
"Oh." Park Min-ah nodded and said casually, "Let's eat."
The usually lively dinner was spent in an awkward atmosphere. Although she was straightforward, Park Ji-hyeon and Park Ji-hoon weren't very familiar, especially since she was staying in the apartment. Seeing him look at those photos suddenly made her feel very awkward.
Park Ji-hoon knew it wasn't the right time to say much, so he didn't speak.
After dinner, he got up and returned to his bedroom directly.
"Ji-hyeon, can you clean up the table?" Park Min-ah got up and said to Park Ji-hyeon before heading to Park Ji-hoon's bedroom.
Park Ji-hoon had anticipated this. Entering the bedroom, he sighed helplessly and said, "I'll delete them!"
"I want to see how beautiful the model is!" Park Min-ah pouted. She hadn't said anything in front of Park Ji-hyeon, but she was actually very concerned about this.
"I didn't mean to, I didn't know what it was before I saw it." Park Ji-hoon gently pressed her shoulders, feeling helpless. He had always been taken care of by her and couldn't say anything harsh. He also knew she was concerned for him.
Park Min-ah didn't say anything.
Park Ji-hoon understood her meaning and quickly deleted all the files and emails from the computer.
"Who sends emails for a proper audition?" Park Min-ah finally spoke, "Brother's career is just starting to take off, and he needs to focus. He can't be held back by these trivial things." She frowned slightly, her face serious, not teasing him at all.
Park Ji-hoon looked at her side profile and listened to her voice, unable to help but be stunned.
So much like her!
The hair around her temples, the tone of her voice, exactly like his late mother!
He had been scolded many times as a child, with very cliché words, but when said with genuine sincerity, they became completely different.
"I understand." It felt like he had traveled back in time, to the happiest years of his life, and he softly murmured in response.
"Good, you understand. You need to be vigilant! When you become successful in the future..." Park Min-ah continued, but paused.
Park Ji-hoon gradually came to his senses, looking at her face, and blinked.
"Hmph!" Park Min-ah wrinkled her nose, suddenly huffed, and waved her small fist at him, "Even when you're successful, you're not allowed to do that!" After saying that, she asked deliberately, "Disappointed?"
"When did you become so mischievous?" Park Ji-hoon was fully awake now, feeling helpless, "You're the one talking, I haven't said a word!" A playful side, unlike his mother.
"I'm only talking about those bad women!" Park Min-ah added meaningfully.
"Is there a sister like you?" Park Ji-hoon couldn't help but laugh and pinch her nose.
"Of course not!" Park Min-ah wrinkled her nose, her chin slightly raised, and said proudly.
"Alright!" Park Ji-hoon smiled helplessly and said, "Ji-hyeon is a guest, go help clean up."
"Ji-hyeon and I have known each other for over six years, we're sisters, not guests!" Park Min-ah said nonchalantly, then pushed him off the chair and sat in front of the computer.
"All deleted!" Park Ji-hoon thought she was going to check and said helplessly.
Park Min-ah didn't say anything. She found the photos taken at the water park on the computer, picked out the only one of herself, and set it as the desktop background.
"Uh!" Park Ji-hoon immediately understood her meaning. Seeing her every time he opened the computer would naturally prevent any inappropriate thoughts. But, did it have to be this way?
"I'll check often, no changing!" Park Min-ah stood up and warned him.
"Understood." Park Ji-hoon said helplessly. Being taken care of in every aspect of life was great and appreciated, but having her as the desktop background could easily make people misunderstand him as an incompetent brother who can't live without his sister! But, he couldn't refuse.
"Alright!" Park Min-ah waved and was about to leave, but suddenly remembered something, stopping in her tracks, "Oh! Right, how is Brother and Krystal's sister getting along?"
"Hmm? Why do you ask?" Park Ji-hoon asked curiously.
