Although I’m not happy about it, it’s hard to deny the fact that the heartthrob was an all-rounder. Other than studies, he’s perfect in sports too. He won every 1000 meters running competition during high school.
I didn’t expect him to challenge a bigger race during our university’s annual sports competition. He signed up for the 10-kilometer race.
Needless to say, the girls in the class all held their faces in amazement, fangirling over him on how handsome and great the heartthrob was. I swept a glance at the application form and realized that I couldn’t run as fast as the others, and jumped as high as the others. So, I could only humiliatingly choose to be the staff.
Sports are not my specialty. I’ll temporarily step down for now. We’ll compete again another day.
When the sports competition officially began, the staff were no longer busy since everything was prepared and ready beforehand.
I strolled around with my water bottle, just in time to see the 10-kilometer race begin. Not many people participated in this race, and those who managed to run till the end were rare animals.
Lao Er and Lao Si had their races too, but it’s already over, and they waved me over while wiping their sweets. I took a look at the crowded space and realized there’s not a lot of people at the finishing line of the 10-kilometer race. So I rejected their call and ran towards the finishing line to wait.
The heartthrob was a tough guy, indeed. He’s in the lead by a wide margin.
I watched him in his tracksuit. His black hair was soaked in sweat, and when the wind gently blew past him, it looked like glittering water droplets flew through the air, and his face, which was already handsome even when he had rashes, was even more attractive now.
The number of people around me slowly increased, and the girls who were ready to welcome the heartthrob crowd into the finishing line.
I stared blankly at the heartthrob. It seemed like he was smiling at me.
One last lap.
The girls around me were even more excited by his smile. Suddenly, a girl next to me poked my glasses, and it fell to the ground. The girl in front of me was incredibly precise and stepped on my glasses.
I could hear my heart broke into pieces.
Damn it, those glasses have stayed with me for six years!
