Have we met somewhere before?

Lu Xiao rested his hands on the platform and raised his eyes slightly to stare at Lin Miaomiao.

When she looked up, she saw a white towel swirling around his chest and the young and beautiful body underneath.

Full pecs, well defined abdominal muscles, well-defined blocks, he even had a beautiful mermaid line that flowed very smoothly into the trousers of his grey sport shorts.

Lin Miaomiao swallowed her saliva and looked away, “I don’t remember, I don’t think I have seen you before.”

The kitchen was very large, divided into a middle kitchen area and a west kitchen area. The dining room was close to the western kitchen area and there was a large balcony outside.

Lin Miaomiao passed him and suddenly remembered something so she looked down at Lu Xiao, “Have you eaten? Would you like me to make one for you?”

Lu Xiao’s originally calm face suddenly filled with a smile, “Okay, Miaomiao Jiejie.”

His pupils seemed to be filled with the fine sunlight and they were so bright and dazzling, making people reluctant to look away from them.

Lin Miaomiao calmed down and glanced around in the kitchen. She first filled the water in a snow flat pan and started to boil the eggs.

She took out a large piece of thick-cut bacon from the freezer section of the refrigerator. It was usually pork belly for American-style bacon but this piece of meat was lean and should be pork back commonly used in British style.

She cut the bacon into thick pieces and the moment the hard meat was cut, a rich smoky flavor spread.

Lu Xiao asked her, “Do you need any herbs? There are freshly grown ones here.”

“Do you have rosemary and thyme?”

“Yes.” Lu Xiao opened the glass door and went out to the balcony to pick them.

Because there was a person who was extremely picky about food and clothing in this villa, all kinds of herbs were planted on the balcony.

Lu Xiao picked up a few bunches of rosemary and thyme, washed them and handed them to her.

“Thank you.”

She minced the garlic, mixed it with the egg and sprinkled in the torn thyme.

From the basket next to her, she took out the baguettes that had been cut into slices.

The egg was mixed with minced garlic and thyme and spreaded it over the baguette with a small brush and finally put it in the oven piece by piece.

By this time, the eggs were ready and she put it under cold water to cool the shell then peeled it and cut them in half.

She started frying the bacon and melted the bitter giving it a nice sizzle then added in the thick chunks of bacon and a few pieces of rosemary so that the bacon had a smell of herbs.

She washed the purple leaf lettuce, arugula and cherry tomatoes then cut them into pieces, add the eggs, bacon then drizzle with the salad dressing and set aside the roasted garlic baguettes on one side.

She moved neatly and quickly prepared three salads then pushed the plate towards Lu Xiao.

Lu Xiao sat on the high chair and watched the whole process, “Sister, do you often cook?”

“I usually live alone, so I just…”

In fact, there was another reason, Lin Miaomiao’s father was a hotel chef himself so she was very interested and she had been studying with him since she was a child.

Lu Xiao picked up a piece of baguette and put it in his mouth and soon he raised his eyebrows, “It’s delicious.”

He usually ate it directly but he didn’t expect it to be more fragrant and crispy with a rich and crispy texture. The taste filled his mouth with a unique aroma.

Lin Miaomiao smiled and began to lower her head to eat her share.

Lu Xiao poured her a glass of milk then pointed to the rest, “This one?”

“It’s for Senior Song.”

Lu Xiao propped his chin and looked at her with a smile, “Then I have to trouble Senior Sister to make two more portions later because there are still two more people in this villa.”

Lin Miaomiao took a sip of milk, so there were four people living in this villa.

Lu Xiao was amiable but with just the two of them on the first floor, she still felt awkward and had to deal with her breakfast single mindedly.

At this moment, the elevator dinged and Song Yan came over with his tablet.

He didn’t dress casually like yesterday but wore a straight white shirt and gold-rimmed glasses looking very gentle and calm.

“Good morning, Senior Song.”

“Good morning.” Song Yan nodded and was stunned when he saw the salad on the table.

Lu Xiao also poured him a glass of milk, “Senior sister kept it for you.”

“Thank you.” He thanked her and pulled out the stool and sat down.

Lin Miaomiao nodded, “I’m done eating, you guys eat slowly.”

Lin Miaomiao stood up and turned back to the kitchen. The eggs were boiled a few more times and they were ready, she just needed to fry some more bacon.

She quickly prepared two more salads, Song Yan kept watching her and couldn’t help sighing.

“Ms. Lin’s craftsmanship is really good.”

“Senior Song, just call me Miaomiao.”

“Then you don’t have to act like a stranger too, call me Song Yan.”

Lin Miaomiao raised her eyes and saw Song Yan staring at her for a moment, she couldn’t help but felt a little shy and her face flushed red.

“Song Yan…”

Song Yan nodded, “Lu Xiao, bring the salad to them and we’ll do nucleic acid together later.”

“What about the two of them?” Lu Xiao asked.

Song Yan said lightly: “When there are fewer people, someone will naturally inform them.”

When Lu Xiao went upstairs, Song Yan turned to look at Lin Miaomiao again.

“Miaomiao, are you willing to take a part-time job here during the quarantine period?”
