“What do you mean?”

Lin Miaomiao raised her head with her hands still wiping the kitchen cupboards.

“It’s like this, besides you, there are four people living in this villa. Now that it’s sealed off, people from outside can’t come in so we need someone who can cook.”

Song Yan raised his lips and pushed his frame himself habitually.

“I think you cook often so can we hire you to cook for us during quarantine?”

Lin Miaomiao thought to herself, this is not bad and she can live here justifiably. After all, she didn’t want to sleep in the property office either.

“As long as you don’t mind my cooking.” She nodded.

Song Yan smiled, “Since I don’t know how long it will be blocked, I will pay you your salary by the day and by the week.”

He paused for a moment and said a number.

Lin Miaomiao was surprised, “That’s too much.”

“Not much. In the past, the people we hired only cooked breakfast and dinner and the prices were similar.”

He smiled slightly and continued: “But because of the isolation, everyone wakes up at different times so I suggest you make a richer breakfast, that is, make it into brunch, just make it at nine o’clock and dinner at six o’clock on time.”

Lin Miaomiao thought about it, “No problem, just let me know if there is anything I should avoid.”

Song Yan said, “I’ll tell you when I think about something, now that the medical staff has arrived in the community, let’s go over together.”

The two got up and walked through the living room and put on their mask and slowly walked along the walkway.

Yesterday, Lin Miaomiao walked through the underground path of the community but now that she walked up there, she realized that there was a lot of greenery and the environment was quiet and peaceful.

Each villa was surrounded by gardens, separated by green plants and had good privacy.

Song Yan’s mobile phone rang and he looked down at it.

“Miaomiao, you’d better send me a list of the things you might use this month. There is still a chance to send them in now and it’s hard to say later.”

Lin Miaomiao lowered her head and sent the list in the memo directly to him.

In fact, she had already listed them last night and prayed that it would be best not to use it but it seemed that there was no way to avoid it.

The list she made included women’s underwear, simple clothes, physiological products, etc. As for the others, she guessed that they would have to wait until it was time to use it before she could think of anything else.

At this moment, a person came running quickly behind them and inserted directly between the two of them.

“Sister Miaomiao.” He pulled down his mask and smiled brightly, it was Lu Xiao.

Lin Miaomiao nodded at him but Song Yan asked him directly, “How is it? Is he satisfied?”

“I can’t tell but he didn’t say anything.”

“No words mean that he’s satisfied.”

Song Yan’s gaze flicked over his face for a moment, “It’s outside now so put on your mask.”

“Okay, Senior Song.” Lu Xiao replied playfully, turned his head and went over to chat with Lin Miaomiao about school.

From chatting with him, she learned that Lu Xiao majored in basketball and high jump at school and except for the classes in the classroom, he basically spent the rest of his time in the gym.

“On the side of the ground floor, there is also a gym, senior sister can also go to exercise.”

It occurred to Lin Miaomiao that he looked like he was exercising in the morning.

In fact, she was also a little curious about the other two people in the villa but they both tacitly didn’t mention them so it was not very easy for her to ask.

There were not many people living in the entire villa area and it didn’t take long before it was their turn. After the nucleic acid collection was done, the three returned to the villa together.

Song Yan took Lin Miaomiao to the basement floor and led her to look around the storage room carefully.

Looking at the dazzling array of ingredients, she couldn’t help but sigh.

“With so many ingredients, I don’t think there will be a problem with eating even if we are quarantined for two or three months.”

“I don’t know how long it will be sealed. Everything is based on the premise of not wasting it. In the afternoon, a batch of fresh food will be delivered, vegetables mainly so you can look at how to keep it fresh for a longer time.”

Lin Miaomiao had already experienced quarantine at home last year and already had some experience.

When the vegetables arrived, Lu Xiao went to the door with a cart to bring them back and she dealt with them carefully.

She wrapped the roots of the leafy greens with a damp kitchen towel and put in a plastic bag and refrigerated it.

Mushrooms were prone to mold so she wrap them in kitchen paper towels and refrigerated them in a kraft paper bag.

She picked the beans and vegetables, blanched them in hot water and then sealed and froze them in airtight containers.

She cut the cauliflower directly in half, wrapped them in plastic wrap and refrigerated them. The corn was frozen directly with the leaves.

Tomatoes, pumpkins and sweet potatoes were stored in a dry and ventilated place.

The peppers, okra and eggplants were washed and wiped dry and put in the fruit and vegetable box to refrigerate.

The green part of the chives were cut into sections and put on a paper towel in the crisper and refrigerate and planted the white roots on the balcony outside the dining room.

There were indeed a lot of herbs planted on the balcony. In addition to rosemary, there were basil, thyme, sage, parsley, rosemary, mint, basil, lemongrass…

She guessed that someone must have taken care of their gardening before and there was a person in the villa who liked to eat Western food.

She poured some more water on the mint and when she touched it lightly with her fingers, the charming fragrance was released which was very refreshing.

As soon as she straightened up, she heard the familiar piano music, not in a dream this time but heard it clearly.

Moreover, the sound of the piano was very close to her so it should be in this villa.

Was the person who played the piano, is it one of them from the two she had already met or was it one of the remaining two?

T/N: How can the piano man be one of them from the already introduced characters according to novel logic, right?

I wonder who’s the mysterious person, hmm(though I know all you must have guessed it already lol)
