That year, Xu Zeyan intercepted her in the narrow alley.
Behind him was the setting sun, the red glow elongating his figure on the smooth bluestone slab.
He was wearing a school uniform, a white shirt, dark blue trousers and a blue tie that was pulled loose, revealing the two-buttoned shirt collar and his skin was glowing white.
His hand crossed in front of her and pressed against the alley wall blocking her way.
His fingers were long and slender with distinct joints, pressing against the moss-covered wall making them look even more white.
“What are you doing with me?” His voice was cold.
“I… didn’t…” Lin Miaomiao also knew that the lie at this time was very weak.
“It’s almost a month.” Xu Zeyan hooked his lips and smiled coldly: “Do you think that I’m blind?”
“No.” She raised her head quickly and met his indifferent eyes, the cold eyes made her whole body shivered.
Xu Zeyan raised his eyebrows and stared at her meaningfully.
Lin Miaomiao took a step back, “…I’m sorry.”
His fingers slowly fell, sliding over the keychain on her bag which had a pull tab of a soda can tied to the keyring together with the purple rabbit.
“I saw you picking this up the day before yesterday.” His fingers lightly raised the tab and put it down again.
Lin Miaomiao’s face was flushed, it was the can of coke that Xu Zeyan had drunk the day before yesterday.
She lowered her head, “I’m sorry.”
“You like me?” He raised the corners of his lips and was smirking.
Lin Miaomiao’s eyes froze and tears almost came out of her eyes, “I’m sorry.”
“What’s your name? Which class are you from?” His voice suddenly softened a lot.
She choked, “Lin Miaomiao, in senior 3 class 4.”
“Well, I will remember you.” Xu Zeyan approached her and whispered, “Don’t come near me again and don’t be delusional.”
Her body couldn’t help shaking and tears slowly fell from the corners of her eyes.
“Don’t follow me anymore.”
He said these and walked away.
Lin Miaomiao finally remembered why the words on that piece of paper were so familiar.
It turned out to be Xu Zeyan’s handwriting.
She once had read Xu Zeyan’s words on the school’s glass bulletin board and she visited it from time to time until the contents were replaced.
Until that evening, when she was stopped by Xu Zeyan in the alley near the school.
She and Xu Zeyan studied in the same high school.
In the past, he was like a male god in school, handsome with good grades and often won prizes in piano competitions.
Like many girls, Lin Miaomiao had been secretly in love with him.
She just accidentally discovered that when Xu Zeyan was in his third year of high school, he suddenly moved to a neighborhood near her home.
Therefore, she would follow his shadow intentionally when she was out of school.
Unexpectedly, she was soon discovered and hated by him.
Lin Miaomiao deliberately avoided going home at the same time as him but she still inevitably met him at school.
She knew it was impossible but the heart-warming feeling never stopped.
After that, Lin Miaomiao devoted all her body and mind to her study.
Later, they even got into the same university.
Xu Zeyan studied finance but he often appeared in the piano room of the arts department.
Several times, when Lin Miaomiao passed by the art building, she accidentally caught a glimpse of him. She even met him face-to-face on the school’s tree-lined green road.
He still passed her indifferently as if he had never known her or seen her.
But she still chose to bury a throbbing green emotion deep in her heart.
Lin Miaomiao never thought that she would meet Xu Zeyan again in this villa.
She knew that he didn’t live on campus but she didn’t bother to deliberately inquire where he lived.
As a result, he actually lived in this villa near the school.
It turned out that he was the weirdo who didn’t like to come down to eat according to Lu Xiao.
In fact, her knowledge of him in the past was also very limited and only when she saw the note did she know that Xu Zeyan liked desserts.
The piano tune was slowly approaching the end and Lin Miaomiao walked downstairs in a trance.
She even felt a throbbing pain in her chest and the hormonal fluctuations made her nipples oozed out milk but after a while, her underwear was soaked too.
She put her hands on her chest and walked downstairs with her head down but she didn’t expect to bump into someone on the stairs.
“Sister Miaomiao.”
Lu Xiao must have gone to the gym again and the honey-colored skin outside the sports vest and shorts was dripping with crystal sweat.
He lifted the white towel and wiped his cheeks, his black hair softly pressed against his forehead making his eyes brighter.
He saw her red eyes and stretched out his hand but when he was about to touch her, he stopped in mid-air.
The usually cheerful voice sank, “Sister, what’s the matter with you?”
“I’m fine.” She raised her other hand in a panic covering the slightly damp coat.
This action was simply a desire to cover up.
Lu Xiao’s gaze also moved down and she quickly shrank her shoulders and ran downstairs.
Lu Xiao stood on the stairs for a long time, the air was filled with a faint sweet fragrance and he took a few deep breaths.
The smell was exactly the same as the one he smelled in the sports equipment room that day.
