Chapter 7

Malikis was bleeding, not from a minor wound that could be healed with a band-aid, nor from a grotesque, massive gash, but from internal injuries that caused blood to gush uncontrollably from his seven orifices!

Pansun was also bleeding, just like his opponent in front of him. If it weren't for the significant differences in their attire and appearance, their current states would be like looking in a mirror!

Bang! Malikis kicked Pansun away, and his body, which offered no resistance, flew like a discarded doll, bouncing a few times on the scorched ground before coming to a stop. A triumphant smile hung on his face as he tried to stand up again, but the internal injuries were beyond the reach of his will. After a futile effort, he could only manage to turn over, giving a pitiful laugh as fresh blood gushed out once more, "You are a god's body! To still have such combat power after taking that hit!"

Malikis staggered at the words, wiping the blood from his face meticulously, his eyes fixed on Pansun, "That punch was strong! Was it your last resort? But it's not enough to kill me."

Pansun snorted coldly, though his condition was ten times worse than Malikis', he still refused to back down, "Is that so? But I think you seem to be in pain? What a pity, that punch should have been aimed at your face. That might have ground off the other half of your face. Anyway, you don't need a beautiful face!"

Malikis panted for a moment, clenching his fists, feeling the pain inside ease. He looked deeply at Pansun, who seemed unaffected by his taunts, "What secret is hidden in your fists? Why can a mere mortal's body injure a god!"

"God? What's so great about a god! I almost became a god's husband!" Pansun laughed, but his body could no longer support him, and he lay on his back, gazing at the sky in despair.

Malikis narrowed his eyes. The power of the gods was indisputable, a truth that held throughout the universe. Although he had heard of methods that could help people challenge higher levels, they were mere legends, and no one had ever seen them used. Could he be witnessing one today?

Malikis' thoughts were complex, while Agem had already slaughtered the remaining warriors. The silent, bloodthirsty giant exuded a bloody aura with every move. Seeing Malikis in a daze, he roared, "My king, the Aether particles!"

Malikis snapped back to reality, realizing that now was not the time to ponder these things. If he had discovered this method, he couldn't escape it. He could always capture them later!

The massive beam of light finally stopped flickering and retracted into the universe, leaving behind a void. Malikis, enraged by the sight, kicked off the ground and shot into the sky, his speed rivaling the light beam itself!

"Zeus, give me back the Aether!"

His thunderous roar echoed across the battlefield and the entire planet, causing both sides to pause their actions. The war between Asgard and the Dark Elves had finally entered its final phase, a king-to-king confrontation!

Boom!

Malikis finally entered the beam of light. Beyond the shimmering tunnel was the vast universe, where a black stone pillar stood silently. Malikis' eyes narrowed, but he didn't rush to touch the Aether particles. Instead, he said coolly, "Zeus! Come out, we need to settle this!"

"We all know that you want more than just war. The Nine Realms need peace! But if you insist, then I will give you war!"

A tall figure slowly emerged from behind the black stone pillar, clad in golden armor and a white robe, holding a spear that crackled with lightning. His graying beard and hair showed his age, but his bright eyes were still sharp like steel.

Malikis sneered, "You're old! Is the Law of Lightning starting to erode your body? Do you need time to sleep?"

Zeus blinked slowly, "You are as arrogant as ever. As a young god, your words are more impressive than your strength."

Malikis' lips twitched, and his anger boiled as he moved his hands, revealing a pair of daggers glowing with eerie black light. "To be precise, I am the strongest among the gods! Stronger than all of you!"

Zeus chuckled, "Arrogant boy, why did you chase me? I won't exterminate your Dark Elves! Why don't you go back obediently?" As he spoke, he held his spear horizontally, and it burst into a blinding light, filling the space with crackling arcs of electricity.

"This is a war that concerns the fate of our entire race. We cannot retreat. The same goes for your human race!" Malikis was dead serious, and with a swift motion of his daggers, a cloud of black mist formed, blocking the lightning.

The black and white clashed fiercely, entwining and tearing at each other. Lightning was swallowed, and black mist was dispelled. The battle between light and darkness was intense from the start.

Ha! The black shadow pierced through the lightning, closing in on Zeus, and the two daggers, like black dragons, lunged for his neck.

Boom! Zeus, his hair flying, swung his spear with a wide arc, using a move that would trade injuries for injuries!

Malikis' eyes flickered, not expecting Zeus to fight this way. Lightning danced with the spear, as if the space itself was being scorched. However, this powerful strike did not cause any real damage. Malikis' form blurred into a series of black shadows, dodging the spear and circling Zeus. The daggers, glowing with dense black light, attacked Zeus from all angles.

Zeus' advantage was not in speed. Faced with this situation, he could only swing his spear with a watertight defense and control the lightning to chase the black shadows. However, the black mist, which had been entangled with the lightning, would not let it go easily. The surging black mist suddenly converged into arrows, following the lightning. Though they were released later, they arrived first, neutralizing the lightning in the void.

The rumbling thunder finally reached the ears of all the warriors on the planet's surface. They looked up to see dark clouds rolling and twisting, with flashes of lightning darting through them. It seemed like a fierce dragon was rampaging in the clouds. The occasional leakage of power made both sides tremble in fear. They didn't understand the world of gods, but they knew that this battle would decide their fate.

"Looks like your King Zeus has a bad temper!" Ian moved to sit next to Pansun, perhaps finding it tiring to look up, and lay down beside him.

"Being a lightning wielder, he can't help but be a bit hot-headed!" Pansun's voice was weak, but seeing his wound stop bleeding, Ian marveled at the strength of Asgard's warriors.

"Do your divine wars always come to this point in the final stage? What's the point of your desperate battles? Why not just let your kings fight it out?" Ian said with a sneer.

Pansun's eyes moved, looking at the dusty and disheveled Ian, and smiled, "Do you think every enemy has a king as powerful as Malikis? Even gods have limits. Besides, your understanding of gods seems a bit off. It might be different from the legends you knew before you came here. I'll teach you when I have time!"

"You might as well pray that the idiot over there doesn't come to his senses and wipe us out!" Ian rolled his eyes and whispered, nodding toward Agem, who was staring blankly. Perhaps out of concern, he had forgotten to eliminate them.

Pansun fell silent, having joined the suicide squad out of anger over his wife's misfortune. Now that there was a chance to survive, it was best to play it safe and act invisible.

The two remained silent, their attention drawn to the increasingly intense energy fluctuations in the sky. Ian suddenly felt uncomfortable, wondering when humans had become so pitiful that they could only entrust their fate to the success or failure of the gods.

The battle continued, though the two figures were entangled, there was no sign of a quick resolution. From the start, there was an intention to drag it out, at least from Zeus' perspective. The Asgardian army had already invaded the Dark Elves' stronghold, and the longer the battle lasted, the more advantageous it was for him.

Malikis understood this as well. If the battle dragged on, even if he won in the end, what use would a king be without his people?

The black mist grew thicker, even beginning to transform into a liquid. Zeus noticed the change around him, and his stern face showed concern for the first time. This was a deeper application of the Law of Darkness. In terms of realm, Malikis had surpassed him, even surpassing every god in the Nine Realms. Though he had criticized Malikis' overconfidence, he was right about one thing: Malikis was indeed the youngest and strongest god!

The daggers moved even faster, the black liquid spreading like two black dragons churning the sea. The endless lightning, however, grew weaker. Even as Zeus increased the intensity of his spear swings, the black liquid surged irresistibly, swallowing the lightning.

"Ha ha ha! Old man, surrender your kingdom! The Dark Elves are the noblest race in the world!" Malikis laughed maniacally, the black liquid forming countless black arrows that overwhelmed the lightning. He himself transformed into a black meteor, hurtling toward Zeus!

Zeus frowned, barely managing to dodge Malikis' fatal blow, but in doing so, he exposed the black stone pillar behind him.

"Hmph! Zeus, watch your people perish!" Malikis reappeared, his face, now half-destroyed, twisted in a grotesque smile as he reached for the black stone pillar.

But as soon as he touched it, his smile froze, and he looked in disbelief at his hand. A layer of extreme cold frost slowly crept up his forearm, spreading toward his chest!

"Lauv! You dare to attack me?"
