And because Yezai and Qiyu were both unemployed and spent their days indulging in games, they were lazy and gluttonous.

They finally faced the most critical problem in their history: they were "out of money"!

Yes, the funds Yezai had brought with him, which were enough for him to squander for at least ten years, were depleted by the two of them in just three years.

"Qiyu, it's all your fault for being such a big eater. Ever since you went bald, you've become a bottomless pit, and now you've eaten up all our activity funds."

Yezai, looking at the few coins left in his pocket, accused Qiyu of his astonishing appetite.

Ever since Qiyu broke his own "limiter," he had become more and more like a "big eater."

But it made sense; with great power came greater consumption, which was a normal thing. After all, the law of conservation of energy still had to be followed.

"Yezai, you're no different. You buy every new game that comes out. The money was spent so quickly, you should take at least half the blame."

The bald man, dissatisfied with Yezai's accusations, pointed to a pile of already opened games nearby.

"Ha, you play just as much as I do!"

With that, Yezai and Qiyu started wrestling, a scene that had become a daily routine for them.

"Yezai, it's almost six, which means the supermarket's discount sale is about to start."

"Damn, why didn't you say so earlier? If we're late, those aunties will have picked everything clean, leaving only the scraps."

Hearing Qiyu's reminder, Yezai immediately sprang to action, quickly preparing to leave.

Poor Yezai, who used to be a young master at home, had fallen into decadence ever since he started living with Qiyu.

Now, he found himself reduced to going with Qiyu to抢超市打折促销的便宜货.

"Boom—————————!"

As the two walked down the street, they suddenly felt the ground shake, followed by a massive explosion from the city behind them.

"Another monster, shall we go check it out?"

Qiyu, with no change in expression, looked at Yezai. Clearly, Qiyu wanted to deal with the monster, as it was just a one-punch job for him, not much of a hassle.

"Let's go. As usual, if it's a tough one, you handle it; if it's weak, I'll take care of it."

Yezai, who was usually a coward, thought about the future, where they might have to go to even more dangerous worlds.

Now, he had to follow Qiyu and complete more tasks, draw more cards, and increase his chances of survival.

With Qiyu, the big shot, by his side, his safety was at least guaranteed. But in other worlds, he wouldn't have that luxury and would have to rely on himself.

The two rushed in the direction of the commotion and soon saw a huge monster with two tentacles and purple skin.

Yezai immediately recognized the monster.

Vaccine Man, with peak Dragon-Class strength, had a look similar to Piccolo. He claimed to be the embodiment of the planet's will and had the ability to release energy spheres and transform.

Vaccine Man's energy spheres could instantly destroy large city buildings and easily paralyze several cities.

With peak Dragon-Class strength, even Dragon Tornado might struggle against him, let alone Yezai.

Seeing Vaccine Man, Yezai immediately wanted to back off, but the [Hero System] issued a task.

"Ding, Task One: Save the little girl about to be killed by Vaccine Man. (Reward: One card draw opportunity.)"

"Ding, Task Two: Inflict at least ten percent damage on Vaccine Man. (Reward: Two card draw opportunities.)"

"Ding, Task Three: Successfully kill Vaccine Man alone. (Reward: Five limited card draw opportunities.)"

Three tasks appeared, each with different rewards and difficulties.

Yezai could handle the first task, and with some effort, he might manage the second. But the third task was impossible.

While the [limited draw] reward was tempting, it was impossible for Yezai to kill Vaccine Man.

(Limited draw: Specify a type of card, and only that type will appear during the draw.)

Over the past period, Yezai had trained with Qiyu. Although he hadn't improved as dramatically as Qiyu, his strength had still progressed.

But this progress was only from mid-Tiger Class to upper-Tiger Class, still a bit short of peak Tiger Class.

Vaccine Man, however, had peak Dragon-Class strength, a huge gap from Yezai, spanning a major and a minor class.

Forget killing him; even inflicting ten percent damage, the second task, was a significant challenge for Yezai.

As they got closer to Vaccine Man, Yezai finally spotted the little girl in his mission.

The little girl was crying on the ruins, drawing Vaccine Man's attention. He reached out to crush her.

"Forward Slash!"

Yezai's legs suddenly seemed to be wrapped in a flow of wind, making his already fast speed leave trails in the air.

In the next moment, Yezai appeared in front of the little girl, and Vaccine Man's giant hand was about to crush them both.

Yezai crouched, quickly assuming a "sword draw" stance, listening to the wind and feeling its flow.

"Face the gale, Wind Barrier!"

A cold flash appeared, but it didn't hit any target. Instead, it created a "wind wall" in front of Yezai. The rapid blade cut through the air like breaking a sound barrier.

Vaccine Man, of course, noticed Yezai, but crushing one ant or two made no difference to him.

"Bang———————"

The giant hand struck the wind wall, creating a massive shockwave. Vaccine Man's peak Dragon-Class strength shattered the wind wall, sending Yezai and the little girl flying.

"Spit——————"

The gap in strength was too great. The Wind Barrier, though impressive, was no match for Vaccine Man's casual strike.

Yezai was slammed into a building, spitting out several mouthfuls of blood. The little girl in his arms only fainted and wasn't seriously injured.

Yezai, feeling his nearly broken body, placed the little girl down, completing the first task.

Next, he would try to complete the second task. He didn't force it; if he could, great, but if not, he would let Qiyu take over quickly.
