"By the way, I haven't heard your name yet. My name is Aria. You should revere me as the legendary Demon King!"
"My name is Rihito—so, were you really the Demon King? Then those four people..."
"Are my loyal servants. I didn't mention it, but I'm quite grateful that you helped revive them along with me."
Aria said this as if it were an afterthought. There hadn't been a chance to talk, but it seems those four were also the Demon King's companions. Given how much Aria trusts them, they must be quite powerful.
Finally, Rihito began to understand the significance of what he had done.
"First, we need to rebuild [Dystopia]. It's been a hundred years, but it seems the structure itself is still intact."
"Dystopia...? Is that the name of this dungeon?"
"Yes. To be honest, this dungeon is known as the 'Adventurer Killer.' It was built to be very sturdy, so it should still be usable."
Aria touched the wall, reminiscing about the past. As the former Dungeon Master, she seemed genuinely happy that it had survived for a hundred years.
From now on, he would focus on rebuilding this old dungeon. As a former adventurer, getting involved in the reconstruction of a dungeon was considered taboo, but Rihito didn't care about such things. In fact, he was overflowing with enthusiasm at the idea of taking revenge on the human world.
"But, what can I do to help? My combat abilities are only on par with humans."
"Are you an idiot? Why would I need to make you fight?"
Aria gave Rihito a light pat on the back.
"I believe in your abilities. Besides, there's someone who seems to be a good match for you. I won't assign you to a specific area."
"Areas... there were supposed to be several, right? But those four are guarding them, aren't they?"
In response to Rihito's question, Aria nodded.
However, this answer left Rihito with doubts. From his experience reaching the deepest part of [Dystopia], he knew how large the dungeon was. It was clear that four people were not enough to guard a dungeon of this size.
"Um, is there anything unusual about those four?"
"Hmm? Now that you mention it, they always seemed tired. They said they hardly had any time to sleep."
"That makes sense..."
It turned out that [Dystopia], known as the 'Adventurer Killer,' was an extremely harsh dungeon. The four were so busy dealing with adventurers that they barely had time to sleep.
While their dedication as overworked employees was commendable, it was clear that this situation couldn't continue.
Perhaps their deaths in the past were due to this, but he couldn't say that out loud.
"I think we should reconsider their assignments."
"Is that so? Then, Rihito, could you talk to them about it?"
"Huh?"
And so, Rihito set out to investigate and meet with the four. This day would be remembered as the first day of reform in Dystopia.
