My brother came.

"Are you doing well?"

"Brother! What do you mean the engagement is continuing!?"

I quickly confronted him as soon as I saw his face.

"Prince Clark said he won't break the engagement."

"Huh!? But last time he said no engagement..."

"Think about it, Leticia. Did the Prince clearly say he was breaking the engagement back then?"

As my brother reminded me, I recalled what happened that day.

He brought a flirtatious girl and said he couldn't escort me today, which meant the engagement was...? When I asked, he said that was the case—wait?

"He didn't say he was breaking the engagement..."

"That's right."

"What do you mean!?"

"The Prince never intended to break the engagement from the beginning."

"Wh-what!?"

Then why did he start saying he would escort the flirtatious girl?

"He wanted you to be jealous."

"Jealous? Jealousy?"

"He wanted you to be jealous."

"I understand what jealousy means, but..."

When I said this to my brother, who was trying to rephrase it, he grinned.

"The Prince apparently likes you."

"He said that yesterday..."

"He said he tried it because you never paid attention to yourself."

"Even if he tested me, I didn't look at him at all."

I had no interest in him whatsoever.

"It seems that way. But he was happy that you finally looked at him properly."

Was it about the river yesterday? Indeed, I had never really looked at him before. I didn't plan to marry him.

"Since I've created an opportunity for him to get to know you, it's fine if you start liking him after marriage. But he's feeling a sense of crisis because you're so proactive about moving to one of our territories."

"What kind of preparation?"

"A wedding."

"No wayyyyyy!"

I clutched my head and let out a cry of despair. This is the worst possible outcome. I thought I could escape!

"Brother, do something!"

"Can't be done."

"Try harder!"

"Can't be done."

"No wayyyyyyyyyy!"

My brother watched me scream with amusement. For him, this is a favorable development; his long-held dream has always been to rise through the ranks by associating with the royal family.

"Hey... stop ignoring me already..."

As I was feeling defeated, a woman's voice spoke. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw a woman standing behind my brother.

"Oh, I forgot. She wanted to meet Leticia, so I brought her."

"Forget normally!?"

I recognized the woman who was glaring at my brother.

"Bri... Bri... Flirtatious girl!"

"My name is Brianna!"

She firmly told me her name, and she didn't seem to be the same girl who had been fawning over men before.

"Flirtatious girl, no flirtatious elements today?"

"My name is Brianna!"

"Did you stop being a flirtatious girl?"

"I've stopped it!"

Eh, really?

As I was surprised, Brianna continued.

"I thought I had a chance when the Prince approached me, but he's completely infatuated with you. I was just a decoy. How ridiculous!"

She clenched her fists.

"Moreover, as punishment for causing a disturbance, I'm receiving princess education! It's meaningless, and it's really tough. How can yawning in daily life be a reason to get angry? People yawn, you know!"

"Of course they do!"

"I thought you would understand!"

She grabbed my hand when I agreed. We must be comrades.

"You're amazing. You endured that for ten years? I can't do it. I gave up after half a month."

"Don't give up, try a little more!"

"No way!"

"If you try, you might become a queen!"

"Absolutely not! The Prince has declared that he won't have children with anyone other than you."

What, what!?

When I looked at my brother, he was laughing happily.

"The Prince apparently has no intention of marrying anyone else. Give up."

"No wayyyyyyyyyy!"

Give me back my peace!
