Chapter 4

The dungeon is simply enormous.

The entrance was by the riverbank, but no one knows where the main part of the dungeon is located.

Explorers and researchers have been investigating where the dungeon is, but it remains a mystery.

Various devices designed to pinpoint its location do not function properly, and some even suggest that the dungeon is located in a different world.

In any case, that’s not something a novice explorer like me should be concerned about.

I continued my exploration of the dungeon, prioritizing not getting lost.

Along the way, I encountered and fought those dog-faced monsters twice.

It wasn’t exactly easy, but I managed to win both battles unscathed.

Then, when I defeated the third Kobold, including the first encounter, I felt a surge of power in my body.

Checking my status, I saw that my level had increased.

Agility: 7 (+1)

Remaining Skill Points: 1 (+1)

My level had increased from 1 to 2, and my Strength and Agility had each increased by 1.

I also gained an additional skill point.

"What should I do for my next skill? Since I just bought a spear, I could take 【Spear Attack Power Up (+2)】..."

After a moment of hesitation, I decided to acquire the 【Mapping】 skill.

I called it out just like I did with the status screen.

"【Mapping】"

A map screen appeared in my field of vision, pushing the status board slightly to the side.

On a semi-transparent square board, my current position, the route I had taken so far, and the location of the magic array, which is the entrance to the dungeon, were displayed.

Areas I hadn’t explored yet were not shown, but I would fill them in as I went.

"Alright. This skill is essential."

To be honest, what I’m most afraid of right now is getting lost, more so than fighting Kobolds.

I might have even taken this skill before 【Earth Heal】.

With my level increased and a new skill acquired, I continued on my journey deeper into the dungeon.
