Time: December 20, 2012, 23:55.

Location: In the dormitory of a third-rate university in a city of a certain province in China, Qian Youliang sat in front of the computer, staring at the silent and dark outside. Tomorrow was the day of the Mayan prophecy, the end of the world, but Qian Youliang was not at all worried. His heart was filled with emptiness and numbness, and his life was a repetitive cycle of attending classes, eating, playing on the computer, and sleeping. He had no idea what the meaning of his life was. His parents' death had made him introverted and quiet, and he had very few good friends now, except for his old high school buddies. He spent his days immersed in a world of the internet filled with all sorts of information.

"Do you want to understand the meaning of life? Do you want to truly... live?"

"YES or NO?" Suddenly, a window popped up on Qian Youliang's computer screen. Seeing this, he felt speechless. This was definitely a boring virus created by some hacker who had watched "Infinite Terror." "Do you really think I'm a three-year-old? You must be crazy from watching 'Infinite Terror.'"

Qian Youliang moved the mouse pointer to "NO." Just as he was about to click, his hand stopped.

"Whatever, this old machine is about to be replaced anyway. If it gets infected, so be it." The mouse pointer on the screen moved from "NO" to "YES." Suddenly, Qian Youliang felt dizzy and lost consciousness. After an unknown amount of time, he woke up, perhaps in an instant, perhaps a year later.

Cold, intense shaking... This was Qian Youliang's first sensation upon waking. He sat on the ground, dazed, and found himself surrounded by a nearly transparent light wall. Around him, four other people were lying on the ground, motionless—two men and two women. What frightened Qian Youliang was that there were several foreigners standing outside the light wall, and they all had guns. Qian Youliang, full of fear, squatted on the ground and checked the breathing of a middle-aged man lying next to him.

"Phew!" Feeling the strong and regular breathing of the middle-aged man, Qian Youliang sighed in relief. He thought these people had been killed by the foreigners.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" "Where is this place? Who are you! Why am I here! Let me out!" A terrified voice rang out behind Qian Youliang. He turned around and saw that a thin young man who had been lying on the ground had woken up and was desperately pounding on the light wall.

"Brother, are you mistaken? I'm just a poor student, why would you kidnap me!" Before Qian Youliang could speak, the thin young man rambled on to the foreigners. But the foreigners seemed to ignore him, continuing to talk among themselves. After a while, the young man realized the foreigners couldn't hear him and turned around.

"Brother, were you also kidnapped? Where is this place?" The young man finally noticed Qian Youliang sitting behind him. "I don't know. I just woke up, so I don't know where this is."

Qian Youliang, seeing the young man's tear-streaked face, quickly explained. "Hmm." Hearing that Qian Youliang didn't know the situation either, the young man sat on the ground, dejected.

"Ahh! Where is this place? Who are you!" A shrill scream broke the silence as a plump middle-aged woman woke up. "Alright, auntie, stop shouting." The dejected young man said listlessly... Gradually, the others woke up, standing together, looking at each other.

"Did you all click the 'YES' option on that window?" After everyone calmed down, a girl who looked like a white-collar worker asked. The others nodded after hearing her question. "I think everyone here has read the novel 'Infinite Terror.' Given the current situation, this must be one of the movie spaces or other spaces in the God's Space."

The girl continued. "I don't know what you mean by 'Infinite Terror.' I just accidentally clicked 'YES.' I just want to go home. If you've read that book, can you tell me how to get home?" The middle-aged woman said, full of fear. The girl shook her head.

"Ha ha ha! I know! I know! This must be the God's Space! I have to go back, I'll show those who look down on me! I'm the main character! Zheng Zha and the others can just step aside!" The dejected young man laughed maniacally after hearing the girl's analysis.

Seeing the young man's behavior, a hint of disdain flashed in the girl's eyes. This kind of person who thinks they are the main character is very dangerous and will die the fastest. "By the way, shouldn't there be a guide or a veteran to lead us?" Qian Youliang voiced his confusion.

"Aren't you the veteran?" The girl's eyes widened when she heard Qian Youliang's words. Since she hadn't seen Qian Youliang exhibit any extreme behavior or language since she woke up, she assumed he was a guide like Zhang Jie in the novel.

"Who said I'm a veteran? I just woke up a little earlier than you." Qian Youliang frowned.

"Ah!" The girl's face turned dark when she heard that Qian Youliang had just woken up a little earlier. "What's wrong?" Qian Youliang was puzzled by the sudden change in the girl's expression.

"Idiot, haven't you noticed yet? We five are all newbies. Look at a plump middle-aged uncle, a clueless aunt, you and the dejected boy, and me, a shut-in. Although in the novel, fewer people mean more safety, our team is made up of people with such poor physical conditions. Do you really think it's okay?" The girl pointed at them.

"What should we do now?" The middle-aged aunt asked the girl nervously, and the girl shook her head.

"Right, look at the watches on your wrists." Qian Youliang waved his right wrist in front of them.

Hearing Qian Youliang's words, the others looked down at their wrists and indeed found watches. "One point for every ten zombies killed, one hundred points for every creeper killed, negative one thousand points for every teammate killed..." The girl read out the information displayed on the watch softly.

"Kid, you seem to know something. Can you tell me what these points are?" The middle-aged uncle frowned, looking at the watch.

"If we follow the setting in 'Infinite Terror,' you get one thousand basic points for completing a task. These one thousand points can be exchanged for many things from the God, such as doubling your attributes... As long as you have enough points, you can even become an invincible superman. Besides the basic points, there are main tasks and side tasks. Failing the main task will result in punishment, the most severe being annihilation."

When Qian Youliang mentioned annihilation, a hint of fear flashed in the eyes of the calm girl and the dejected young man, as they knew that annihilation meant the complete destruction of both soul and body. "Does that mean I can do anything as long as I have points?" The middle-aged uncle asked excitedly.

"In theory, yes. As long as you can survive to the end, you can get everything you want. For the God, turning you into a hero like Ultraman is no problem." Qian Youliang nodded.

The middle-aged aunt, seeing that Qian Youliang knew so much, asked nervously, "Can we return to our original world?" "Fifty thousand points, at least fifty thousand points to return. That's the setting in the novel, but the novel is just a novel. I don't know what the real situation is." Qian Youliang explained.

The middle-aged aunt, hearing that they could return, said excitedly, "So, if I survive fifty tasks, I can go back." Hearing this, Qian Youliang shook his head. "Aunt, if you don't use the points, you'll die faster." The dejected young man sneered.

"How can you talk like that? What do you mean by dying faster?" The aunt, hearing the dejected young man's words, looked hopefully at Qian Youliang and the girl, but seeing no reaction from them, she knew he was right.

"Aunt, this world is very dangerous. If you don't enhance your strength, you'll die a miserable death. From the environment and the information on the watch, I think this is the world of 'Resident Evil.' As long as you don't get bitten, you can easily survive. However, the God's Space has many tasks that can't be solved with just guns, like 'The Grudge' and other supernatural spaces." The girl, looking out the window at the rapidly receding scenery, explained to the aunt. Just as she finished, the light wall surrounding Qian Youliang and the others began to dissolve.
