In a narrow street, dim lights quietly illuminated the ground. Occasionally, a few small rats would scurry out from the sewers by the roadside. Everything around was silent and peaceful. Suddenly, a man holding a baby about a year old appeared out of the air, stumbled, and fell to the ground. The baby rolled to one side but, strangely, did not make a sound. Instead, it stood up on its own and began to crawl toward a corner, to the man's astonishment.

The man, who had fallen to the ground, was already full of despair. However, when he saw the baby's actions, he was first startled, then overjoyed. Watching the baby crawl toward the corner, hope shone in his eyes. Ignoring whether the baby could understand, he said in a hoarse voice, "Run, run, my son, hide, don't let them find you. The blood of the Gullis family must not end with me. Run..."

However, the baby suddenly fell to the ground, motionless, as if dead.

At the same time, several figures in cloaks suddenly appeared on the street. Seeing the man on the ground, they quickly approached. One of them extended a short wand from under his cloak and pointed it at the man, saying, "Gullis, you traitor of the pure-blood family, how dare you ally with Dumbledore against the great Dark Lord? Are you ready to receive your punishment?"

The man struggled to lift his upper body and looked at the man before him, saying, "Lucius, you, who lick the Dark Lord's toes, are the true scum of the pure-bloods. That mad, arrogant bastard does not deserve to rule the wizarding world. Just wait, one day you and your master will meet your end—"

"Avada Kedavra!" A green light cut through the dark night sky, and the man's expression stiffened as he fell to the ground, unable to speak again.

"Hmph! You fool!" Lucius sneered disdainfully and moved his wand again, aiming it at the motionless baby.

One of the Death Eaters behind him seemed reluctant and pulled on Lucius, saying, "Let it be, Lucius. The Gullis family, after all, is of pure blood. Let the child go. Besides, the Order of the Phoenix is coming; we should retreat."

But Lucius stubbornly said, "Those who betray the Dark Lord, even if they are of pure blood, must die. Gibbon, move aside!" He shook off the other's hand and aimed his wand at the baby again.

At that moment, as if sensing something, the baby, which had been motionless on the ground, suddenly sat up. Its eyes, one golden and one silver, coldly regarded the man before it. The strange color made everyone present shudder.

Seeing the baby's unusual actions, Lucius instinctively took a step back. But then he seemed to remember something, gritted his teeth, and waved his wand, "Avada Kedavra!" The green light shot straight at the baby.

The baby, seeing the green light coming, a flash of light appeared in its eyes. It waved its small hand, and a small rat from the street suddenly flew over and blocked the green light. The rat's body twitched and fell to the ground, dead, but the baby was unharmed.

"What!" "This is impossible!" All the Death Eaters exclaimed in shock. The scene before them far exceeded their imagination. They looked at the baby as if it were a monster.

The baby, however, remained unperturbed. It waved its small hand, and a dozen rats flew over, forming a wall of flesh in front of the baby, protecting it firmly.

Everyone was stunned by the incredible sight. It was not unusual for wizard children to have strange abilities, but the ability to control things at will and know how to protect oneself in a child barely over a year old was too incredible.

"Kill him, all of you, kill him quickly!" Lucius, who usually considered himself a noble, disregarded his dignity. The scene before him had already thrown him off balance.

"Crucio!" A red beam of light shot from a Death Eater who had regained his senses, instantly destroying the wall of rats and revealing the baby, whose face was full of pain.

"Ha! You little monster, die!" Lucius, with a hint of madness on his face, raised his wand again to cast a curse at the baby.

Damn it, Mo Wen, who had been reborn for just over a year, cursed in his heart. His luck was supposed to be C, but now it had become E. He had secretly rejoiced at being reborn into an ancient pure-blood family, thinking that a superior environment would provide many conveniences for his future growth. But how did it come to this, with Death Eaters attacking his family? There couldn't be many pure-bloods who opposed Voldemort, so why did it have to be him?

Mo Wen, enduring the discomfort from the forced spellcasting, began to consider whether to use the power of the Heroic Spirit Throne. Although it might attract the attention of the world's essence, it was better than failing and being killed.

But just then, the air in the street rippled, and several figures suddenly appeared. They raised their wands and attacked the Death Eaters without a word.

"Stupefy!" "Crucio!" "Expelliarmus!" The magical lights illuminated half the street.

The Death Eaters, who had been completely focused on Mo Wen's actions, were caught off guard and quickly retreated. Lucius, with a reluctant look, glanced at the fallen Mo Wen and said, "Retreat!"

As the figures flickered, all the Death Eaters disappeared, and the members of the Order of the Phoenix stopped to check the condition of the dead man and the fallen baby.

"How is it, James?" one of the figures asked a man with glasses.

The man picked up the baby and shook his head, saying, "Not good. Gullis is dead, and little Moddy seems to have a fever. We need to take him to St. Mungo's, Sirius."

"Is that so?" Sirius looked at the fallen Gullis with some sadness. "Although I didn't like Gullis's noble airs, he was a decent person. I didn't expect him to be gone like this."

"Alright, let's report the situation to Dumbledore and see how he handles little Moddy," another man interjected.

"Right, Moony, we are Dumbledore's good children," Sirius, seeing the somber atmosphere, made a joke and turned to leave.

But then James said thoughtfully, "Maybe I can adopt him. Lily is about to give birth, and he could be a playmate for our child. It seems the Gullis family has few survivors left."

What a joke, Mo Wen, who had been on the verge of sleep due to overexertion, suddenly became alert and fully awake. He knew that James's son was the protagonist of the book, Harry Potter, and that Voldemort would come to kill his family in a year. If he were adopted by James, wouldn't he be courting death? But what could a baby do to resist? Suddenly, an idea came to mind, and Mo Wen began to cry out, "Toby! Toby!"

The baby's innocent cries echoed through the quiet street. James hurried to comfort him, "Don't cry, don't cry. Bigfoot, look, why is this child crying? Who is Toby?"

Sirius shrugged and said, "How should I know? I've never raised a child. As for Toby, I remember he is the name of Gullis's house-elf. Maybe little Moddy just remembered it by chance."

As Sirius spoke, a house-elf wearing a pillowcase and covered in blood appeared before them. The elf first looked at the fallen Gullis and immediately wailed, "Master, Master, what happened? No! Master is dead, Master is dead! Toby couldn't protect Master, bad Toby, bad Toby!" Toby began to bang his head on the ground, quickly bruising and bleeding.

"Toby, Toby!" Mo Wen's cries continued.

"Oh, the little master's voice! Great, the little master is still here! Still here!" Toby, startled by the cries, immediately jumped up and snatched Mo Wen from James's arms, whispering, "Little master, don't cry, don't cry. Toby is here, your most loyal Toby! Toby will protect the little master!"

"Home! Home! Toby! Toby!" Mo Wen continued to cry in his baby talk.

"Alright, alright, little master, let's go home." Toby comforted Mo Wen and prepared to leave.

"Wait!" James suddenly called out to Toby, "Gullis is dead, and little Moddy can't be left alone. I think you should hand him over to me. I will take good care of him."

Hearing James's words, Toby hesitated, but then Mo Wen cried out again, "Home! Home! Toby! Toby!"

Hearing this, Toby bowed to James and said, "I'm sorry, sir. With the master dead, the little master is Toby's new master. Toby only follows the master's orders. The little master wants to go home." With that, Toby's figure began to fade.

"Wait!" James tried to stop him, but Toby and Mo Wen had already disappeared.

"Never mind, James. That house-elf will take care of the child. If you really want to adopt him, you should discuss it with Dumbledore first," Sirius comforted his somewhat disappointed friend.

"Ah, that's all I can do."

"Alright, don't be like that. By the way, have you decided on a name for your child?"

"Um, yes. If it's a boy, we'll call him Harry, and if it's a girl, we'll call her Lys. What do you think?"

"Not bad, not bad. But remember, the godfather of your child must be me. Remus, you can't compete with me. Hey, Remus, Moony, are you listening? What are you thinking?"

Remus, frowning, only reacted to Sirius's words, rubbing his chin and saying, "Don't you think the child's reaction was a bit strange? It seemed like he didn't want to be adopted by James. His actions were a bit odd. And when we arrived, it seemed like the Death Eaters were calling him a 'little monster.' Were they talking about the child?"

Sirius, however, dismissed it, "Forget it, a child barely over a year old can't do that. Although Gullis often boasted that his child was the purest of the pure-bloods, with naturally different eyes, he is still just a child. What 'little monster' nonsense, you're overthinking it!"

"You're right..."
