After chatting with Fudge for a while, Mo Wen found an excuse to leave. Seeing him leave Fudge's side, a group of noble young ladies immediately surrounded him. These women, not minding his young age, chattered incessantly around him, and occasionally touched and brushed against him, deliberately pressing their chests close. Mo Wen was no good guy either; he subtly took advantage of the situation while elegantly conversing with these young ladies, occasionally telling a small joke that made the women giggle, their eyes sparkling with admiration.
At that moment, a somewhat arrogant voice suddenly rang out, "You must be the Modius Gullis that Father always mentions. He always says you are better than me and that I should learn from you. In the name of Malfoy, I challenge you to a duel to see who is stronger."
A small boy with blond hair and a slightly flushed face pointed at Tianxing and said this in front of a group of girls.
"Draco, what are you doing? Don't be ridiculous!" Lucius, who had been secretly observing Gullis, sensing something was wrong, walked over and pulled his son aside to scold him.
"No, Father, you always say Gullis is better than me. I don't believe it. He is only one year older than me; he might not be better at all," young Draco pouted.
Lucius frowned at his son, wondering if he had ever mentioned Gullis to him. However, looking at the group of girls around Gullis, he seemed to find a reason. He thought, "I didn't expect him to be so young and already know how to be jealous." He didn't notice the fleeting red light in his son's eyes.
Level 3 Spell: Suggestion: Makes the target act according to the suggestion.
Mo Wen had to put in a lot of effort to suggest to Draco, and he naturally wouldn't miss this opportunity. He immediately stepped forward and said to Draco, "Little Draco, are you really brave, but you don't have a wand, so you can't participate in a formal wizard's duel. How about I demonstrate with your father to show you my level?" It was actually quite funny to see an eleven-year-old boy educating a ten-year-old, but because Mo Wen was tall and had a mature aura, few people really treated him like a child.
Lucius frowned when he saw this. He didn't want to fight Gullis; it would be dishonorable to bully a younger opponent, and losing would be even more embarrassing. He said to Mo Wen, "Little Modius, let's not. You don't have a wand either, and I am your elder, so it's not appropriate."
Mo Wen waved his hand and said, "Uncle Lucius, you forgot that I can cast spells without a wand. Whether I have a wand or not doesn't matter much. I've always been curious about duels between wizards, and there's no one around to teach me. This is a good opportunity to learn from you. Besides, Draco just challenged me in front of all these young ladies in the name of Malfoy. We can't disappoint them, can we?" Mo Wen glanced at the group of girls, earning a wave of admiration and blessings.
Lucius, caught in a difficult position, had no choice but to reluctantly agree. He couldn't let Draco fight; he knew his son's capabilities well, and it would be too embarrassing if he lost.
The two moved to the center of the hall, and the guests cleared a space for them. They stood a distance apart, bowed to each other, and the duel officially began.
Mo Wen took the initiative, waving his hand and sending a ball of acid toward Lucius.
"Spellcasting without a wand, without a word!" The guests exclaimed in surprise, clearly stunned by the situation.
In fact, Mo Wen's magical prowess in the Harry Potter world was far from being able to cast spells without a wand or words. He was using arcane magic, and the acid splash he just used was a level 0 spell. To those who didn't know, it naturally caused a misunderstanding.
Seeing the acid coming, Lucius remained calm, "Protective Charm!" An invisible shield deflected the acid, and then he pointed at Gullis, "Stupefy!" A red light shot out.
Mo Wen dodged the spell with a quick move, cast spells to resist elemental damage and protect himself, and then sent a Burning Hand, sending fierce flames toward Lucius.
Lucius sprayed water from his wand to extinguish the flames and then cast another "Stupefy."
Unfortunately, Mo Wen's agility was at F-, far surpassing that of an average adult, and he easily dodged it again.
With a flick of his hands, a moving rope appeared in Mo Wen's hand and flew toward Lucius. Lucius raised his wand and shouted, "Snake Summoning!" The tip of his wand exploded, and a black snake shot out, biting the flying rope. The two struggled for a moment before disappearing together.
They exchanged a few more rounds, and Lucius's combat skills were impressive. Neither of them gained an advantage, but overall, Mo Wen had the upper hand. Since Lucius couldn't hear the incantations Mo Wen was using, it made it harder for him to react. However, a draw wasn't what Mo Wen wanted.
Biting his lip, Mo Wen cast a Mage Armor and Resistance to Energy Damage on himself. Then, he was accidentally hit by Lucius's Petrification spell, which struck his hand, causing his body to stiffen.
Lucius smiled at the sight, took a few elegant steps forward, and said calmly, "Little Modius, your magical power is already quite impressive, and your spells are powerful. You just lack experience. With more—"
Before he could finish, a wide web shot out from Mo Wen's hand, enveloping Lucius. Then, an Ice Ray followed, and a thin layer of frost spread over Lucius's body. Shivering, Lucius was horrified to see two missile-like objects appear in Mo Wen's hand. Mo Wen said with a playful tone, "It seems the one lacking experience is Uncle Lucius." He fired the magic missiles, hitting Lucius's head and knocking him unconscious.
"Ah!" Draco and his mother, who had been watching the duel, let out a gasp and rushed over to check on Lucius.
Mo Wen, however, turned to Niks and Rod, his tone icy, "I want to see the shop's accounts tomorrow. You two had better be prepared."
The two men looked at the unconscious Lucius on the ground, then at Mo Wen, and shuddered. They nodded frantically.
Taking one last look at the fallen Lucius and hearing the whispers around him, Mo Wen sneered. While it was amusing to toy with Lucius, it was indeed more satisfying to take action.
