Ch14 - [The prelude to the bug rescue] Your eyes are really very beautiful.

Early in the morning, a transport car carrying the Alien insect drove out of the LuoRi Volcano scenic area.

The black, 8 legged bug curled up in the cramped transport container, tiny eyes filled with grievance. Wiggling its tail, it stuck it through the crack and patted the guard lightly.

The guard: “……” The metal arm guard on his arm was sweeped away.

With an ‘aowu’, the starving Metal-devouring bug devoured the pitifully scarce meal, and then used his eyes to express that it wasn’t enough to eat.

Inside a car in front of the transport vehicle sat Sirius and his group of people.

Andrew and Diya sat in the back seat. The former had huge black circles under his eyes, his expression sallow and haggard: “I guarded for an entire night, but I didn’t see anyone suspicious appear.”

Diya patted him, holding in a smile: “You’ve worked hard.”

Andrew looked at him feebly: “If the Metal-devouring bug really has an accomplice, then their last chance would be on the trip back to the city. Once it enters the custody area, it’d be hard to rescue the bug.”

Diya put on a serious face: “Therefore, you must hold on. There’s still a long journey ahead.”

Andrew, expressionlessly: “Shouldn’t you be helping me share the burden at this time?”

Diya waved his hand meekly: “Yesterday I soaked too long in the onsen. Right now, I’m in a state of physical and mental exhaustion after too much wild fun.”

Andrew: “……” He had no words of rebuttal.

As a resourceful military communications ‘flower‘, Diya was responsible for dealing with the guests. Yesterday, he spent the entire day drinking and soaking with the guests while gathering some interesting news and information along the way. Therefore, while Andrew was rushing around, worrying over the ‘huge insect attack’, a certain person was leisurely enjoying a wonderful vacation.

Andrew: “I want to apply for a job transfer.”

In the front row, Sirius nodded his head: “Alright. No matter what, I respect your wishes.”

Diya was shocked: “What does that mean?”

Andrew was also shocked: “I can? Really?”

Sirius pointed ahead of them. There were 3 men and 4 women standing on the broad street. One of these people noticed the fleet of cars and let out an excited scream. The next second, they arranged themselves to stand in a row and just happened to block the middle of the street.

The cars were forced to stop.

“Look, anything related to interacting with people, it’s all yours.”

There were three men and four women, a total of 7 people. From their fanatic expressions, Andrew can practically predict what kind of a headache-inducing thing will occur next.

He expressed: “A biased leader will ultimately lose his most devoted subordinate.”

Diya laughed so hard he couldn’t straighten up.

Nalun sat inside a coffee shop next to the street. Under his hat, he wore a dark colored mask that covered up half of his face. His gray-green eyes can only be seen close up.

Through the film glass, he can freely observe the good show that was about to occur. Meanwhile, from outside looking inward, Sirius can only see a dark colored glass…… Perhaps, there’d even be his own image reflecting on the glass.

Thanks to Mona’s live stream, plenty of people learned about the news of ‘the underaged youth attempting to pose at the Admiral’s one night stand’. Although his deceit failed, his energy invigorated countless people.

So you can actually do this?!

[That’s right. As long as you have exquisite swindling skills and a reasonable explanation, anyone can become Sirius’s one night stand.]

This was the anonymous comment Nalun had left online. To have this kind of effect was really beyond his expectation.

In the midst of these 7 men and women, only two were hired by him– The mice that existed in the corners of the Empire, in a world of only darkness and no sunlight, only needed some money to encourage them.

Nalun smiled. On the table was the intergalactic best seller <<Beyond the Stars>>. He flipped a page, like an idle gentleman, passing the time leisurely.

“This coffee shop is pretty good.”

A man’s voice sounded. Nalun felt a shadow falling over him. He lifted his head and saw an unfamiliar shorthaired man who had unknowingly stood by his side.

“In order to drink the coffee here, many people come from very far away……. uh, what I mean is, can I drink with you?”

After being stunned briefly, Nalun blinked. He realized that someone seemed to be flirting with him.

“……No, I’d rather read a book by myself.”

This was the first time someone attempted to flirt with him. Yet it was under a situation where he had himself covered up tightly. Nalun started to question this world that placed appearance first. What happened to only looking at faces?

However, the shorthaired man didn’t actually give up because of Nalu’s refusal. Instead, he pulled out the chair and sat down in front of Nalun.

“Why wear a mask? Do you know this makes drinking coffee inconvenient…… No no, I don’t mean anything else. I’m only curious.”

Nalun reached out a hand and pressed down on the book. A coldness flashed across his gray-green eyes: “Allergies. Exposed under the sunlight, my skin will start to fester.”

The shorthaired man: “…… What a regrettable disease. I’m Jeff. Your eyes are really beautiful.”

Nalun pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on: “My eyes are very sensitive to light.”

Sitting in a coffee shop, wearing a hat, mask, and sunglasses, was really very odd, no matter how you looked at it.

The shorthaired man, however, had a rather interested expression: “You’re very special.”

Nalun secretly rolled his eyes. Supporting his forehead with a hand, he emitted ‘unwilling to communicate’ signals from head to toe. In actuality, he was also turning his attention to the outside.

Those 5 real fanboys and fangirls and the two local actors that he hired already surrounded Sirius’s car and indirectly created a traffic jam.

With a heavy face, Andrew got out of the car and was currently speaking to them.

Soon after, the transport vehicle that followed behind also stopped. Two guards came out of the vehicle and attempted to offer Andrew assistance.

Unfortunately, the soundproof effect of the glass was too effective. Nalun couldn’t hear the dispute between the two sides.

Because the coffee shop was facing the street, the transport vehicle just happened to stop outside of the window. From Nalun’s angle, he coincidentally saw a four-sided shipping container. In the opening of the container’s air vent, there was even a suspicious insect tail wagging.

“…… There’s a place where you can enjoy the sunlight, but not get sunburnt. I feel like it would suit you very well.”

The man’s voice interrupted Nalun’s thoughts.

Nalun turned around and said in a cold, indifferent tone: “You’re blocking my view.”

The short haired man acted like he didn’t hear at all: “You still haven’t told me your name?”

Nalun: “Suiris, a very stupid name, regardless if you read it forwards or backwards.”

The short haired man: “……uh, on the contrary, I feel like it sounds very nice.”

Nalun: “……”

The short haired man suddenly stood up and stared unblinkingly at Nalun. He said with a smile: “I guess you must be a great beauty.”

He bent down and slowly moved closer: “Pale white skin, bright red lips, like a baron seen in centuries old oil paintings…… longing for the sunlight, but also deeply terrified.”

Nalun: “???”

The shorthaired man reached out with his right hand and gently hovered over Nalun’s cheek.

He softened his voice: “Although it might seem presumptuous, I still want to ask. May I have the honor of taking a glance? So I may know if my guess is correct?”

Nalun fell silent.

A moment later, the coffee shop received a complaint.

“Waiter, someone is sexually harassing me.”

The customer that filed the complaint was a man completely dressed from head to toe, who was suspected of having skin condition.
