Since his granddaughter came over, the Honored Prince Sr. naturally couldn’t stand in place.

With a stiff face, he walked over and did his best to squeeze out, what should be, a benevolent smile to the youngsters.

Diya: “……”

Andrew: “……”

In comparison, they suddenly felt like Nalun’s cold smile wasn’t even worth mentioning and completely lacking in killing force.

Diya very quickly re-adjusted his mental state and gave a smile that was brimming with enthusiasm. He looked extremely happy: “Uncle Charvey, I never imagined I’d meet you here.”

The Honored Prince Sr. nodded coolly and bent down to pick up his granddaughter from the stiff and frozen Andrew: “The youngest son of the Ebert family.”

Andrew instantly had an impulse to straighten his back.

“When you were young, I held you once.” The Honored Prince Sr. did his best to close the distance between himself and the youngsters. He gave a kind smile: “You even dirtied my clothes.”

Under the Honored Prince Sr.’s dreadful grin, Andrew trembled slightly as if he could feel a heavy murderous intent.

Diya stiffened his face, not daring to laugh.

The Honored Prince Sr. quickly turned his gaze on Diya: “You…… I remember you always follow behind the little Monte kid.” After reminiscing for a moment, he patted Diya’s shoulder and gave a look of ‘approval’: “Very good.”

Diya also trembled in fear.

As a powerful senior official of the Empire, the Honored Prince Charvey Sr.’s iron-blooded policies have been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Within the nobility, the youngsters all heard stories about him growing up. At home, when the parents taught their children, the words they spoke most were probably: “If you don’t behave yourself, I’ll hand you over to the Honored Prince to deal with!”

Although Diya was born from commoners, he rarely saw Andrew like this, not even daring to breathe loudly; And plus, the Honored Prince Sr. ’s imposing aura was really quite terrifying……

Jeff, who’s been out of the loop, finally responded: “You guys know each other?”

The Honored Prince Sr. turned his gaze onto him.

Jeff froze.

Oh fck, so scary!

“You are……” The Honored Prince Sr. furrowed his brows, unable to find this person in his memories.

Jeff swallowed: “I, I just met them, so, so we ended up chatting a bit.”

The Honored Prince Sr. nodded his head: “Young people… broadening your friendship circle. Very good. If my son could go make a few more friends, I’d worry a lot less.”

The three young men sat obediently like quails. Other than Ilia who was laughing, the Honored Prince Sr. was the only person still immersed in the wonderful fantasy of having a perfect and joyous time with the youngsters.

Ilia ordered a lot of small sized cakes. After the sweets arrived on the table, she politely shared the pieces one by one to the adults with her butt raised.

“Where’s Mister Sirius?” She recalled her idol once again.

As if answering her concern, the door to the private booth across the way suddenly opened.

Nalun and Sirius appeared together in front of the crowd.

The former had a faint smile, as if pretty satisfied with this meeting. Sirius, however, didn’t have any expression on his face. He was turned sideways and whispering a few quiet words to Nalun.

Diya and Andrew’s seats just happened to face the entrance of the private booth.

Seeing the boss’s gaze sweeping over, one lowered his head and the other covered his face with the menu.

The Honored Prince Sr.: “???”

Nalun asked: “What’s the matter?”

Sirius withdrew his gaze, saying: “I saw two familiar people.”

Nalun looked over and saw Diya and Andrew, who were currently doing their best to decrease their existence. Instantly, Nalun became speechless. If he remembered correctly, Sirius had invited “DuoNi” over here and even said something like “Nothing displeasing or unhappy will happen”?

Diya and Andrew were both present at the moment. Was this an attempt to capture him?

Good thing he was clever and didn’t come.

Sure enough, Sirius’s words were untrustworthy!

The waiter came over holding a delicately wrapped food container: “Sir, your cake.”

“I saw you really like eating the sweets here, so I ordered another serving for you to bring home. If you don’t want to eat it, you can give it to Ilia to try. Girls should like it.”

Nalun accepted it silently and said thanks. His expression was a bit unnatural.

Why so nice suddenly? There must be a plot here.

He hugged the box and turned around, saying seriously: “I drove over here today. There’s no need to take me home.”

Sirius gave a fatherly smile: “Be sure to wear your seatbelt.”

Nalun nodded his head.

Sirius said: “I’ll bring you to the shop’s exit.”

Nalun, befuddled: “You’re not heading back?”

Sirius smiled: “I still have an appointment.”

Nalun: “……”

Sirius: “I told him I would wait for him for the entire afternoon.”

Nalun lowered his head and stared at the food container in his hands. He suddenly felt heavy.

He hesitated for a moment and then couldn’t resist saying quietly: “Don’t wait anymore. He won’t come.”

Sirius, curiously: “You know?”

Nalun indicated for him to look at the time, saying: “It’s already this late. The chance of the other party keeping their word is practically zero.”

Sirius shook his head: “Practically, doesn’t mean absolutely. I will still keep my promise and continue to wait.”

Nalun: “…….”

Sirius patted his shoulder and said warmly: “Good thing I had you to accompany me for most of the afternoon. So that I wasn’t at least waiting…… alone by myself.”

“Most of the afternoon?” A familiar voice came through the door.

Nalun turned around and met up with the two attentive stares of the elder and younger Charveys.

“……”

The Honored Prince Sr. looked back and forth between his young son and the kid from the Monte family. From the corner of his eyes, he caught a glimpse of the gift box in his young son’s hands. Then he also saw the hand Sirius had placed on his young son’s shoulder. Instantly, he was completely stunned.

The stunned Honored Prince Sr. still had a solemn and grave expression. His blank eyes were filled with an unreadable expression.

–Very intimidating.

Nalun couldn’t help but shrink back, eyes darting around: “Father, why would you guys be here?”

Ilia’s dark, grievous voice sounded at the same time: “Little uncle, why are you guys here together?”

Nalun: “……”

The atmosphere surrounding the Charvey family instantly became tense. Meanwhile, the root of the issue, Admiral Sirius, actually started exchanging words with the Honored Prince Sr.

They weren’t very loud. However, the coffee shop was already pretty quiet. Therefore, they attracted the attention of the other customers.

Some people even recognized Sirius’s extremely easy-to-identify face and let out brief shouts.

“The Admiral?”

“It’s really the Admiral!”

“They came for a gathering?”

……

Nalun followed behind his old father and Sirius, practically wishing he could immediately leave this ill-fated place.

Yet his old father just had to make a comment: “Little Monte, that group of people all recognize you, huh?”

Sirius replied humbly: “I just appeared in front of the media a few times. Countless people have made genuine contributions to the Empire. Compared to them, I’m too ostentatious.”

Seeing the two people looking like they intended to chat more, Nalun interrupted and said: “Father, I was just planning to go home. How about sitting in my car and leaving with me?”

The Honored Prince Sr. gave him a dark look and said coldly: “I still want to sit for a while.”

Nalun immediately said ‘Okay father, not a problem Father.’

The Honored Prince Sr. finally nodded his head in satisfaction.

Good thing the people in the coffee shop who recognized Sirius weren’t his fanatic fans. The most they did were only rubbing their hands together and shooting over enthusiastic stares. They didn’t actually disturb them too much.

The tables inside the coffee shop were all four person seats.

The Honored Prince Sr. looked at the group and placed his granddaughter in the hands of the rather proper looking Andrew. Then he said to his young son: “You sit here for a while. I’m going to go chat with little Monte at a neighboring table.”

Nalun: “……” No, I don’t want to.

However, his body already listened faithfully to his father’s instructions.

The Honored Prince Sr. said: “Let’s go, little Monte. I haven’t seen your father in a long time. How’s he been recently?”

Diya and Andrew sat upright in their seats, both looking as if they were facing death.

Nalun continued holding the food container in his hands as he sat down opposite Sirius’s two subordinates, exchanging looks of dismay.

The only person outside of the loop was probably Jeff.

“Wah. This gentleman, I feel like you look a bit familiar.”

Nalun turned his head and saw another familiar face.

“……”

Today was not a good day to go out.

Behind his cold and indifferent expression… hid an utterly exhausted heart.

The short haired, flirtatious guy looked completely dazzled. When those grayish green eyes turned to look at him, he was momentarily amazed.

Nalun felt a thud in his heart. Terrified this guy would recognize something, he swiftly turned his head and only left the other with a profile of his face.

Jeff: “……”

Nalun said calmly: “Who’s he?”

Diya: “Jeff.”

Nalun: “Why would you guys be here?”

Diya: “I also want to know this.”

Nalun scoffed. He suddenly felt a bit stupid holding the food box in his hand while talking. Therefore, he placed it down on the table.

“Sirius even brings his attendants along on holidays?”

Diya made an “uhh” sound and said with a slight smile: “We’re not the only ones who came here during the holiday to meet and drink coffee together.”

Jeff forcibly interjected: “I still don’t know this new friend’s name?”

“Nalun.”

Rather than giving the right of introduction to the unrelated Diya, he prefered giving a concise answer on his own.

Jeff was very happy and completely turned his body to appreciate the view of the newly arrived, black haired beauty.

Nalun: “……”

Seeing the Honored Prince’s face turn darker and darker, Diya finally opened his mouth to stop Jeff’s behavior. He tactfully expressed they needed to discuss serious business and that everyone could chat together again another time.

The tactful send off didn’t actually work.

Jeff gave an ‘ah’ and behaved extremely excitedly towards Nalun.

Nalun’s heart squeezed. Could it be, he was really recognized?!

“Nalun, I’m very happy to be acquainted with you.” Jeff reached out a hand.

“……” Nalun stared at the extended grubby paw, expression ice-cold.

Andrew subconsciously hugged the silent little Lolita in his arms tighter, feeling like he almost couldn’t breathe.

Diya reached over, grabbed the cup of coffee on the table, and stuffed it into Jeff’s hand. He said: “The taste of this coffee is not bad.”

Jeff: “???”

Diya: “Just sit down and drink your coffee.”

Jeff: “……”

Nalun raised his eyelids and said coldly: “Sirius and I met each other here coincidentally.”

Diya immediately haha’d twice: “Actually, Andrew and I also happened to sit here coincidentally.”

Nalun: “Oh, such a coincidence.”

Diya laughed dryly: “That’s right. What do you think, Andrew?”

Andrew: “……”

Diya actually called him to get involved in this kind of matter that involved dealing with people?
