Nalun found a seat and settled down, not looking at the person beside him.

Sirius said nonchalantly: “Tired?”

He didn’t receive an answer.

Sirius wasn’t even mad. He remained sitting in the seat next to Nalun, saying: “I originally guessed that the people who stole the Scepter should be a three man group. The insider, the thief, and the thief’s accomplice.”

Nalun’s ears moved. His face still had a detached, cold expression.

“The Metal Devouring Bug’s accomplice is very interesting.” Sirius leaned back onto the soft seat cushion, his gaze landing on the profile face of the person beside him: “I deliberately called him a Mist Bug because when he lied so earnestly, he left a very deep impression on me.”

Nalun’s eyes spun halfway.

“Who would have imagined, I’d really encounter a Mist Bug today.” Sirius exclaimed.

“Perhaps that’s him in person.” Nalun said mockingly.

Sirius shook his head and expressed: “No. Although I’ve never seen his face, intuition tells me, the Insectoid just now isn’t my Mist Bug.”

Nalun raised an eyebrow: “–Yours?”

Sirius smiled faintly, not saying anything.

Nalun strangely felt a chill to his back.

Sirius didn’t continue this topic. He opened the cabinet next to the chair and pulled out a can of beer from inside. He opened it and took a few sips.

Nalun: “……”

Sirius then pulled out a plate of fruit, asking: “Want to eat any?”

Nalun maintained a cold and silent face.

“At this point, the courthouse no longer serves dinner.” Sirius expressed sincerely: “The fruits are very fresh. You can first fill your stomach slightly. Once we get over there, I’ll think of a plan to bring you some warm food.”

Nalun looked down and gave the cabinet a few glances: “Not hungry, and also not in the mood.”

Sirius asked: “Frustrated over the trial?”

“I’ve already been framed by dirty evidence.” Nalun closed his eyes mockingly as he asked: “Even if I say the entire thing has nothing to do with me, would anyone believe it?”

“Of course. You can tell me about it?”

Nalun opened his eyes and discovered that Sirius looked pretty serious.

“No matter what you say, I will listen respectfully with an accepting attitude.”

Sirius’s eyes held a power like he could gaze into people’s hearts. He leaned down, placed a hand on the side of Nalun’s neck, and said in a deep voice: “If there really is something more here, I will do my best to protect you.”

Nalun’s grayish-green eyes flashed once, very quickly, before he moved away from Sirius’s hand.

“I need to contact a defense attorney. You guys can discuss everything with them.”

After a brief moment of silence, Sirius withdrew his hand, looking almost a little disappointed: “Occasionally, you can try to trust me.”

Nalun gloomily reminded him: “I trusted. The price was waiting alone by an uninhabited lake for several hours.”

He looked at Sirius and asked: “This is the food you spent hours preparing for me? These unappetizing looking fruits?”

Sirius said: “I had miscalculated the time, sorry.”

Nalun: “……” Apologizing so quickly, how was he supposed to ask the countless questions that came afterwards?

Ultimately, he could only turn his head, close both eyes, and display a tight-lipped attitude.

The side of his neck burned slightly. The overly intimate touch gave a misconception of affections. Good thing he woke up just in time.

Sirius was too much of a captivating force. He could easily make people forget the rift and conflict between them, using an extremely natural attitude to approach anyone he wanted to get close to, and even bewitch the other to view him as a trustworthy entity.

However, the truth was, something like trust never existed between the two of them.

No matter if it’s in the past or right now.

Before all of these things happened, Nalun and Sirius knew each other, but didn’t interact closely. They even had countless confrontations in the past. Who won, who lost was only superficial. Nalun was clear that Sirius had never truly paid any mind to him.

This was also the reason why Nalun had felt Sirius was very fake!

It was the same right now. Sirius was purposely displaying this kind of face, like he was expressing goodwill and being friendly. However, in actuality, he was only trying to trick words out of Nalun’s mouth, right? After all, Sirius was the main person responsible for the case regarding the missing Scepter.

This was what Nalun told himself.

Rather than getting confused over Sirius’s behavior, he might as well think more about how to deal with the current situation right now.

No matter what he decides: admit that he was connected to the Insectoid or refute everything, the result might not end up how he wanted.

To tell the truth, this was bound to implicate another secret– The fact that the origin of his involvement with the Metal Devouring Bug began with the metal ring on his chest. Yet this definitely couldn’t be exposed!

Compared to being mistaken for an Insectoid spy, being topped by a sworn enemy was just as disgraceful.

Sirius did say one thing right. Nalun does need to do his best to find a perfect explanation to rescue himself from his predicament.

While Nalun pondered deeply, he didn’t know that Sirius had been staring at him the entire time. The Admiral silently pulled out a small bottle from a certain corner. He opened it, placed it in front of Nalun, and blew on it lightly.

Nalun wrinkled his nose. He was just about to ask ‘what’s that smell’ when he heard Sirius’s voice next to his ear.

“It’s very late. Why don’t you sleep a little.”

Nalun wanted to say ‘he didn’t think up a proper explanation to hoodwink people yet, how could he sleep?’ However, as the words hung on the tip of his tongue, he was assaulted by a heavy wave of drowsiness, which made him yawn uncontrollably.

Very quickly, he lost consciousness.

The culprit spread his hands and caught the sleeping person in his arms. After a close-up examination, he verified that the other really did fall asleep.

“Some things… still need confirmation… to make a person feel relieved.”

The black haired Admiral had a serene and composed expression, not looking like a person who had just prevailed in a surprise ambush at all. His eyes reflected the image of a certain fast-asleep Honored Prince as his lips upturned in a slightly amused smile.

The slight curls on the ends of Nalun’s hair pointed upward messily. His grayish-green eyes, which usually flashed with a calculating light, were tightly shut right now. Even in his sleep, there was the ‘Honored Prince style’ look of displeasure still hanging on his face.

Sirius reached out with a hand. First, he flicked the curly hair. Then his thumb moved across the other’s thin lips as he imagined: after this person woke up, what kind of sharp words of ridicule he’d spit out, or what kind of mystical lies he’d fabricate next.

Supporting the man, Sirius moved over to Nalun’s chair and then effortlessly placed Nalun onto his legs.

He reached out a hand and covered half of Nalun’s face, nodding pensively. The somewhat calloused hand slowly moved down and rested on the outer coat of the person in his arms. He took it off and put it casually to the side.

Under the coat was a dark colored shirt. The top most button was undone, revealing delicate collarbones. Sirius smiled and started to undo the remaining buttons.

One button, two button…… After the third one, he stopped.

The somewhat pale chest could be seen clearly with one glance. Sure enough, on the left nipple adorned the symbol of power for the Head of the Monte Family. Sirius reached out and hooked the ring, looking at it quietly for a while.

Last, Sirius helped Nalun redress, tidied up, and then returned to his seat.
