The milky-white mist floated gently at the bottom of the large crater.
Walking calmly along the stone steps, Yu Yuan started to descend into the mist slowly.
Hearing that Yu Yuan was going to come down, Fan Li stood at an obvious place on the giant piece of moon fragment, waiting for Yu Yuan to appear.
Fan Li smiled with joy.
Surrounding the moon fragment stood ten or so people from the Fan Clan. They were mostly at the Contained Spirit Realm or the Yellow Hall Realm and were all young.
Some of the Fan Clan people stared maliciously at the murky sky and the others have analyzed the inscriptions on the moon fragment.
Woosh.
An unusually strong wave of spiritual energy swept across the bottom of the crater, instantly washing away the milky-white mist.
Standing on a stone step, Yu Yuan frowned slightly.
“Nine Bright Heavenly Cycles.”
With the method in mind, he quietly started to breathe in the spiritual energy around him.
With his Ultimate Body, Yu Yuan could consume spiritual energy with every pore on his skin. With the advanced method that he was using, he quickly circulated the energy throughout his body.
With plenty of such energy spreading out from the center of the deep pit, Yu Yuan felt some subtle changes occurring again with his inner organs.
He sensed that there were certain strands of the spiritual energy separating from the rest of the white mist, floating toward Yu Yuan.
Anyone with a sharp sense of their surroundings would notice that spiritual energy in the crater was disappeared at an astonishing rate.
Yu Yuan’s eyes brightened.
He felt all twelve of his meridians simultaneously opened up.
This was a sign that all of his meridians were no longer clogged.
His temples vibrated, his arms trembled, and his heartbeat faster than ever.
The few strands that had attracted to his body were some ancient and undisturbed spiritual energy, extremely valuable to cultivation.
They must have been formed hundreds of years ago and stayed here ever since.
“Ring…”
Suddenly, Yu Yuan was a little dizzy and heard an abnormal sound.
He noticed that the nine little dots of light circling around his Dantian were brightening!
As his twelve meridians were being filled up by all the spiritual energy, he finally found a place to let them all into his body!
Slowly, the energy streamed into his inner organs, muscles, and bones.
“Contained Spirit Realm!”
Yu Yuan’s body trembled in excitement.
“Hey, not bad.” He started laughing cheerfully.
It had been a while since he got to the peak of the Meridian Establishment Realm, but only now was he able to break through the barrier that was stopping him from reaching the next realm. All thanks to the extremely pure energy that was stored down here in the crater.
The Meridian Establishment Realm was the first realm for a cultivator. It was the foundation for everything in the future.
Cultivators at the realm were still stronger than ordinary people.
The main purpose of this realm was to unblock the clogged meridians.
With help of the twelve meridians opened up, cultivators in the Contained Spirit Realm would then be able to use the spiritual energy to strengthen their bodies.
After reaching this realm, cultivators would show a significant advantage compared to ordinary people. They could travel faster and possess abnormal strength.
In other words, the Contained Spirit Realm is truly the first stage as a cultivator.
“Huff!”
The white mist that was coving the sky all rushed to where Yu Yuan stood.
It was fast enough that people couldn’t even see with their naked eye!
At first, Fan Li was standing underneath, fully covered by the mist, but soon he was able to figure out Yu Yuan’s body shape.
Compared to what there were minutes before, the energy had thinned out.
It was so thin that Fan Li could even see everything above him now.
He frowned.
“Look!”
On the stone platform above the deep pit, Han Hui looked surprised. “How come the spiritual energy down there is floating up?”
After Yu Yuan went down, Zhao Yafu had been comforting Yu Feifei, telling her not to worry.
Hearing Han Hui’s yell of surprise, she looked back at the crater.
After a glance, she screamed, “No! The energy isn’t floating up, it’s floating toward Brother Yu!”
With her hint, Han Hui also saw it now.
Zhao Yafu was right. All the white mist in the crater was moving quickly toward Yu Yuan.
“Strange, how did Yu Yuan do it?” She was impressed for the first time.
“Haha!”
Zhao Yafu laughed and clapped her hands. “Yu Yuan is sure luckily! He barely even took ten steps down the crater and broke the barrier to his next realm!”
“What? He got to the Contained Spirit Realm while walking?” Han Hui seemed to realize too.
Zhao Yafu just smiled.
After being surprised by the fascinating news, Yuan Ting and Yu Feifei were both excited for Yu Yuan.
“Huff!”
The energy in the crater was churning and twisting.
A large amount of the mist was still flowing to Yu Yuan.
Feeling the wonders of clearing all of his meridians, Yu Yuan’s eyes became strange.
He found that this ancient energy had something more mysterious in it!
It seemed to have a slight glow of a sword stored within.
Sword Light!
Without him even realizing it, the energy that contained sword light sneakily slipped into his twelve meridians.
Then, through his twelve meridians, it filled his bones and muscles!
He must have mistaken the sword light for the ancient spiritual energy that rushed to him earlier. The sword light contained an art formulated by an old swordsman.
…
At the entrance to the Forbidden Land…
The old general’s closed eyes suddenly opened up. “Stop!”
The changing image in the water tank froze and stopped at one scene.
It was showing where Yu Yuan was.
Li Yuchan frowned as she looked at this and was a little puzzled. “What’s so special here?”
She clearly saw earlier that the Fan Clan was taking over this special crater and Yu Yuan was invited to go down.
She noticed because she was afraid that Fan Li might lure Yu Yuan down to the bottom and kill him there while the mist was covering.
Clearly, Yu Yuan was still above the mist. He seemed safe.
“Yu Yuan from the Dark Moon City. Lin Zhuyun’s fiancé.” The old general touched his chin and said thoughtfully. “Looks like the Lin Clan’s old lady wasn’t wrong for choosing this boy.”
