Chapter 6 Part 4 - A Very Special Time (End)

“It’s a relief to hear you say that. It’s strange that I had so much fun on this date, when it was just an extension of our normal lives.”

“That’s right. It was really fun even though it was just the usual. Maybe the fact that I got to see so many places with Theo-kun under the guise of a date that made me happy.”

The instructor sat down on a nearby bench. I sat down next to her and she continued to talk to me in a quiet voice.

“It was the first date of my life, you know?”

“Eh? Y-you’re not lying right… this being your first one…”

“I am not ~lying. Though I’m not proud of it either.”

The instructor shifted her body, closing the gap between us. I was stunned when the instructor’s head rested on my shoulder.

“I’m nine years older than you, but there are still many things that I need to learn. In the eyes of the world, I’m supposed to be a smart woman, but I’m not… I’m just a bad older sister who can’t do housework, cook, or even fall in love.”

“But I…”

I said, conveying her unquestionable feelings in the purest of terms.

“I like that kind of sloppy instructor.”

“Stop… saying things such as ‘like’…”

The instructor looked up at me. She continued, somewhat faltering.

“Is it true? It’s not just admiration, it’s longing for… the opposite s*x, right?

“Of course.”

I definitely like my instructor. I was attracted to this woman who accepted my dream without laughing, and admired her character. At that time, it may have been just admiration.

But now, it’s entirely different. I can say for sure that I see the instructor as a woman. Because she’s really attractive. I can’t help it, she’s the best thing that I could ever have.

“Theo-kun, you’re …… really stupid, aren’t you?”

The instructor said with an annoyed smile.

“It’s such a waste to fall in love with me… I’m sure Theo-kun can find someone younger and prettier.”

“There is no one in this world prettier than the instructor.” (TN: Go get him lad) (ED: Chad Theo out for those Instructor Thighs)

“That again… you said it again… But I like that about you, Theo-kun, for always thinking of me like that…”

She whispered this confession to me unexpectedly.

“……Eh?”

My thoughts went completely blank, and then I realized that… Ah .

The instructor’s face blushed as if to say that she had done it. She stood up as if she had been knocked off her feet and opened her mouth in a panic, waving her hands in the air.

“I-it’s not what y-you t-think! I-it’s not that, but, um…”

I’ve never seen the instructor flustered like this before. So, I’m kind of relieved but…

What was that confession all about? It didn’t seem like she was saying something she didn’t mean, and it felt like a sudden outburst.

And by outburst, I mean a situation like the bullets are loaded and ready to go out of control ー The instructor likes me…?

With that in mind, I looked at the instructor again.

“U~uuh…”

Instructor Miya is now like a statue standing there with a shy look on her face.

The way she was looking at me, my prediction was probably correct. It wasn’t wishful thinking or anything, the instructor liked me and was trying to return my love. But maybe it was just the wrong timing.

As long as I’m not back to being a swordsman, the instructor will continue to carry the burden of having broken me, and I will continue to carry the burden of having caused that to her.

Wasn’t she going to tell me that when everything was back to normal?

She should have, but now she accidentally let it slip, and now is embarrassed.

On the other hand, it made me like her even more. She’s trying to face me by rejecting herself.

She’s trying to stop me using her guilt as a shield to reject me. She’s sacrificing herself in order to do me a favor.

But I guess we’ll have to wait until I’m back to normal before we can take the next step towards each other.

“I understand, Instructor… You don’t need to gloss it over anymore.”

I stood up from the bench and faced the instructor. She’s still not sure what to do next. She feels so adorably cute that I unconsciously hugged her body gently.

“The-Theo-kun…?”

“Please let me have this… just for now.”

It was a sudden embrace that should have been rejected, but it was not, and the instructor slowly wrapped her arms around and accepted me.

The lake now seemed to be our own private place, hidden away from the entertainment venues and on a secluded shore. I hugged my instructor tighter as a stray breeze blew by. I was surprised by my own actions.

But it was simply gratitude. I couldn’t be more grateful to the instructor for stopping running away, facing me, and preparing me for the next step.

“Hey…”

And then, as she wriggled in my arms, the instructor looked up at me and said.

“…I’ll accept everything I can to help you do your best, Theo-kun.”

Then the instructor closed her eyes and lifted her chin.

I was stunned. Accept probably …

While thinking about this, I couldn’t help but notice the gleam in the instructor’s mouth.

However, I couldn’t seem to look away from it.

I wondered if it’s okay.

I was going to seal her lips with my own. But then.

We stopped what we’re about to do as the owner of the scream came running towards us. It was Sharon, breathing heavily on her knees, followed by Erza.

Th-these guys really are…

“Wh-what you’re doing is impure, impure I tell you! Pervert! Public indecency!”

“May I join you?”

Sharon said with an impatient look, while Erza was saying strange things as usual.

The only reason I could think of for why they were here was that they were following me and the instructor. And now they couldn’t hold it anymore and came to disturb us.

By the way, they must be the strange stares I noticed when I was on a date.

“I don’t care what you say, but… don’t you guys have work?”

“We took a day off! Sadie told us that you and Miya were going on a date!”

“Same as what she said.”

Seriously, Sadie, you’re really stirring things up…

But, if I’m being honest, I feel like I’ve been saved. If it weren’t for these guys, I’d probably be in a relationship with the instructor. I guess that’s not a bad thing, but it’s not ideal. Right now, we’d probably just get carried away by the atmosphere…

Instead, now that I understand the instructor’s feelings, I want to take the initiative. The instructor is older than me, but then again, I am a man. I’ll take the lead one of these days…

“Mou~, Why did it turn out this way…?”

Aside from me thinking about it, the instructor was getting frustrated.

“… You kids should be playing in the sandbox. Why are you barging in here…?”

“But if Miya and Theo should not be like that…”

“Should I curse you both to remain single until you’re twenty-six…?”

Then, a horrible hatred swirled in the air, and all of a sudden it arrived.

Flap… flap… A group of demons flying in the sky with their wings spread out, soar through the sky.

The sight of what appeared to be an infiltrator in the human territory, flying like a migratory bird towards the south, crossed our field of vision.

Not only me, but also Instructor Mya and the others noticed this, and the place became very tense.

However, the flock of demons only passed far above, and did not seem to have any intention of harming the Imperial City. When the demons disappeared from sight, we breathed a sigh of relief.

A large migration of demons. We didn’t understand the purpose of such behavior, which we rarely see.

We disbanded and spent the night on our own, wary that the demons would turn back and return.
