“Fufu~nー. Hey Sadie, what’s the meaning of this?”
It was the night after the date.
I was at the bar with Sadie, and unlike most nights, I was drinking myself into a state of drunkenness. I couldn’t help but drink today. I couldn’t help it!
“You know, Sadie, I almost kissed Theo-kun? Do you get it? Theo-kun and I almost became lovers, you know? And yet, you sent those two over there to ruin my time with Theo-kun. Fufufuー, you deserve to die.”
“Ah, I apologize for this, but please don’t say anything scary with a smile…!”
Sadie bowed her head apologetically. I was about to stomp her.
“But the thing is… I gave Sharon and Erza the dating information with the best of intentions, and I didn’t expect them to intrude…”
“Ara~, your predictions are out of control, aren’t they? Those two are also in love with Theo-kun, so of course they’ll break in when they find out about my date with him, right? How can you be a musketeer if you can’t even predict that level of danger? You must have lost your sense after working on the inside for so long.”
“… I have no words to offer in return.”
“Fufu~n, let’s go to the front lines together next time, okay?”
“Hi~i…!”
The frightened Sadie would make a good snack. [EN: She means that it’s fun teasing Sadie]
“Puhaa… But you know what, I don’t intend to lose to those girls who are only young. What’s the use of being 14 or being 17? We’re 26 years old, we’re financially strong, and we have the s*x appeal of adults! We’re the same, Sadie, just that I have bigger b*****s!”
“You’ve been so toxic to me for a while now that it’s making me cry…”
‘Will she ever forgive me? ‘ Sadie must’ve been thinking as she was shaking her head, wondering if she’d ever be forgiven.
“W-well, Miya, I’m really happy for you today! In any case, from what I’ve heard, you’ve made some progress with Theo-kun.”
“Mm-hmm, yeah. We’ve definitely made some good progress.”
Although we didn’t exchange any clear words, I’m sure that Theo-kun and I shared the same feelings.
We’re not lovers yet, but I think we’re getting there.
Now all I need is for Theo-kun to get back to his former self so we can be together without any regrets.
If we could just only reach that stage.
All I can do now, is to hope that Theo-kun will return to normal.
“From here on, all I can do is to wait and trust Theo-kun.”
“And you’ll continue to support him, right?
“Fufufu, of course I will.”
I’m hoping that the progress with us will become a new driving force for Theo-kun. I will use this momentum to support him. It’s only natural.
“I’m sure a bright future awaits you. The power of love is amazing.”
Is there really such a thing as the power of love? But if Sadie, who is married unlike me, says it does, then maybe I should believe her, and for now I want to cling on to it.
So, yes, I do wish that the power of love will work, at least for… Theo-kun.
