Let's think about this probabilistically.
Here is a child of a noble family in name only, born without any talent, so incompetent that it seems as if the whole world is negating his existence.
It is a sad thing.
To know in your head but not have your body follow.
Because of this, any attempt ends in frustration, and though he wants to give up, there is a reason he absolutely cannot. So, he swallows his tears and spares no effort to find a talent he doesn't have.
He creates something out of nothing.
Creation is solely the power of the gods.
Thus, no one but a god can create something from nothing. Denying this clear truth of the world, he is once again frustrated.
At the end of his frustration, he dies once.
And then he is reborn.
From being the worst student in the graduating class of a middle school at an academy he barely got into by force of money, to being admitted to the Imperial Royal Academy, known for gathering the most talented individuals in the empire, by sheer merit.
In just half a year.
Not even half a year.
In an even shorter time.
With a congenitally poor constitution, a minuscule amount of magic power, organs twisted in ways that make digestion difficult, and a frail body that remained small and weak no matter what he ate.
A person who, if left alone, would surely be eliminated from society, was reborn with a new body in less than half a year, abandoning his former self.
In other words, the person himself changed completely.
This was on the level of a complete transformation of the species. Or, it could be seen as a kind of evolution.
Let's think about this probabilistically.
Is this possible?
Of course not.
This is something that absolutely cannot happen.
And we call it a miracle.
“A miracle.”
An impossible event.
An event that should not happen.
The two phrases have slightly different nuances, but to me, there are no words more fitting for the current situation than these two.
The cradle of stars, where promising boys and girls from all over the Altima continent gather.
The Imperial Frontier Academy, where an astonishing number of students, reaching tens of thousands, are gathered.
A special class where only those with exceptional talents are admitted, a classroom that is small but grand, with a capacity of only fifteen students per class.
“Really, a fucking miracle.”
There, in that place.
I met my childhood friend, who had ignored me for about three years, and the ex-girlfriend I dated after that.
