As Olivia had guessed, Tiana was found inside the underground passage.
However, no matter how much they questioned her, Tiana refused to speak and remained silent.
Tiana was placed under house arrest in a room and was to be constantly monitored. The interrogations were to be conducted by the guards, but it was thought that Tiana, being stubborn, would not easily confess.
Olivia and the others decided to leave Tiana to the soldiers and guards and return to the inn. Searching for Tiana was just a coincidence, and Olivia's and the others' original purpose was to accompany Princess Florenzia on her inspection tour.
Since they were covered in dust, Olivia and the others decided to take a bath before dinner when they returned to the inn.
While Taylor washed her hair, Olivia asked her about Princess Florenzia's condition, as Taylor had been staying at the inn.
"How is the princess feeling?"
"I don't know the details, but when I checked before lunch, she said her condition was still not good, so she would be eating in her room. After lunch, she said she would rest, so I went out with the princess's maids and don't know the details."
"Did you go shopping?"
"Yes, apparently the princess said she would go out for a change of pace, and when she invited us, we went together. I found some good rose tea and bought it as a souvenir, so I'll make it for you later."
"Thank you. Hehe, this town is really full of roses."
The soap provided at the inn also smelled of roses. The scented oil applied to the hair and body after the bath also smelled of roses. This was something she bought from the inn's store.
After getting out of the bath and drying her hair, she changed into a dress. Because she applied the scented oil, her platinum blonde hair was shinier than usual. Since she only had to sleep after dinner, she didn't use any styling products, and Taylor tied her hair up on one side.
When they went down to the restaurant for dinner, Silas and Alan were there, but Princess Florenzia was not. They waited a bit, but since she didn't come down, it seemed her condition was still not good.
"Maybe we should arrange for a doctor."
Silas said he would check on her later and suggest calling a doctor. Depending on the situation, it might be better to cut the inspection short and return to the capital.
"I'll go check on her after dinner."
"Alright, thanks. Let us know how she is later."
"Understood."
Alan asked the waiter to bring dinner to Princess Florenzia's room and ordered the braised lamb in red wine from the three main dishes. Olivia and Silas ordered grilled chicken. All the other dishes were the same, and a white wine was brought with the warm vegetable salad appetizer.
"I'm tired today."
Alan finished his white wine in one gulp and let out a sigh.
"Don't drink too much just because you're tired."
"I know."
Despite saying that, Alan's hand reached for the decanter. After pouring himself a second glass, he finished it just as the waiter, whom Alan had asked to bring dinner to Princess Florenzia's room, came in with a pale face.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your meal. Could I have a moment regarding one of your party?"
The waiter's confusion and anxiety, as well as his distressed appearance, made Alan stand up with a puzzled look. Olivia and Silas also tried to stand, but Alan shook his head, so they left the conversation to him.
Alan left the restaurant with the waiter.
"I wonder what's going on. He looked strange."
Neither Olivia nor Silas felt like continuing their meal, so they put down their forks and knives. After a while, one of Alan's guards rushed into the restaurant in a hurry.
"Prince Alan has asked for Prince Silas and Lady Olivia to come urgently..."
Something must have happened.
Olivia and Silas exchanged glances and followed the guard. When they reached the second floor, they found Alan at the end of the corridor.
The second floor corridor was filled with a tense atmosphere, and several room attendants were visible.
Olivia noticed that the door to Princess Florenzia's room was wide open when she went upstairs.
There was a slightly sweet scent in the air.
"Brother, what happened? The princess...?"
"I'm checking that now. We can't talk here, let's go to my room."
When Olivia followed Silas into Alan's room, he closed the door and let out a loud sigh. He was clearly very frustrated, and Olivia couldn't help but flinch.
"Brother, Olivia is scared."
Unable to bear it, Silas spoke, and Alan replied with a small "Sorry" and sat heavily on the sofa.
When Silas asked what had happened, Alan took a deep breath and answered briefly.
"Princess Florenzia is gone."
Olivia gasped.
