Chapter 22

“So I finished the entire Final Destination series as a precaution, to fully understand the different ways of death,” Jian Ci said.

Zhou Bai stuffed a cherry tomato into his mouth.

After finishing all five ‘Final Destination’ movies, Jian Ci was paranoid for the first few days. He would worry about getting electrocuted by his phone charger; he would worry about getting crushed to death by an advertisement board while walking; he would even worry about getting stabbed to death by the steel poles carried on a truck… the different ways of dying that constantly replayed in his head did not once come true.

After a week had gone by, he had completely ran out of ideas.

Sure enough, everything in the movie was a lie, and the rumours of Zhou Bai’s “wife jinx” was fake too.

In a way, Jian Ci had benefited from it, and freely earned himself a rich and good-looking guy as his backing.
