After a few days, Jian Ci did not have to work overtime, but Zhou Bai’s days were filled with dinner parties.
Upon returning home from a party one day, Zhou Bai dragged Jian Ci out of bed and pestered him for supper. Being swamped with engagements, he was not able to eat his fill during the social gathering.
“Is noodles okay?” Jian Ci groaned as he tried to talk his way through.
“No,” Zhou Bai personally wrapped an apron around him, “I want two dishes and a soup.”
“Oh…” Jian Ci yawned as fog clouded his eyes.
His response was slow, failing to notice the hands that were lingering at his waist.
It wasn’t until the soup boiled that Jian Ci realized Zhou Bai had been standing behind him all along. Their bodies did not touch but Jian Ci could feel a sense of warmth enveloping him.
Heat rushed through his face. That exquisite and sturdy body filled his mind, and his instincts were telling him to lean back but he was not bold enough to.
And Zhou Bai, who was standing half a shoulder length away from him, was staring at his slightly bent nape, mind roaming to places.
The impulse to touch this person in front of him rushed to his chest.
He must have drank too much, causing him to have such capricious demands, and such ambiguous thoughts.
