"Jingang, we're home, no need to be polite." The Kate family seemed eager to see how Jingang would behave at home, and Qiping felt it was fine; after all, Jingang wouldn't cause any major trouble. "You can go play, I won't bother you."
Qiping knew that although Jingang was still small, theoretically, he was now smarter than a six-month-old child. Of course, a child around six months old could still recognize people. Jingang could also recognize people and had some of his own thoughts. In terms of mobility, Jingang could walk and crawl from birth.
Seemingly understanding Qiping's meaning, and seeing Qiping make a gesture indicating he could go play and find something to eat, Jingang, although still a bit confused—like this place not being home, without the directions of east, south, west, and north, or Liangshan, Zhu Yingtai, and the little black horse Heitan—was not worried. Now, Jingang was with Qiping, and with this big brother, Jingang could play with peace of mind.
In a flash, he climbed onto the table, showcasing the climbing skills that gorillas are known for. Although he was still small, with the nourishment of the abundant spiritual energy in the forest, Jingang had made some progress and was still quite strong.
"I don't want an apple." Jingang ran to the fruit plate, grabbed an apple, and threw it at Qiping. Qiping caught it and threw it back, and Jingang steadily caught the apple, then bared his teeth at Qiping.
Although gorillas have their own expressions, often baring their teeth or pounding their chests, Qiping could understand Jingang's expressions to some extent. Jingang was now being picky, disapproving of his big brother's fussiness.
After searching for a while, Jingang peeled a banana and threw it to Qiping. This was Jingang's favorite food, and he believed his big brother would like it too. In fact, Jingang's little head was still a bit confused; he basically ate whatever fruit was given to him. If he did it himself, he would definitely monopolize his favorite fruit, bananas. But for his big brother Qiping, he would share all kinds of fruits, though Jingang really didn't know what his big brother's favorite fruit was.
Watching Qiping and Jingang interact, Kate and her family laughed. It was clear that this was something Jingang and Qiping often did at home; otherwise, they wouldn't be so in sync. Clearly, at home, they would share fruits, and even argue over them.
"Thank you, Jingang." Seeing Jingang wobbling over with an apple, Kate beamed with joy.
Kate's surprise continued as Jingang gave everyone a fruit, handing it to them personally, then returned to the table, sitting next to the fruit plate. He bared his teeth at Kate and her family, and everyone could see that Jingang was smiling.
Jingang peeled a banana and started eating it in large bites. This made Kate find Jingang even cuter. Although she had seen Jingang eating an apple in the car, apples didn't require peeling.
Now, Jingang not only knew how to peel a banana but also did it skillfully. This showed that Jingang was a smart little guy, and he was very capable. Moreover, Jingang knew how to share, handing fruits to everyone. If this were at his home, it would be like entertaining guests. What a smart and polite little guy.
"Haha, I know what you're thinking, but you've been fooled." Kate and her family were thoroughly charmed by the smart Jingang, but Qiping laughed and decided to reveal the truth. "Guys, you've been fooled by this cunning little guy. It succeeded."
"Maybe some people think Jingang is very polite, but I don't think so. I have a banana, Kate got an apple; Eric, Caroline, and Joshua each got an apple, but we all only have one fruit. Look at that guy, he has successfully given away all the apples, and what's left are his favorite bananas, all for himself." Qiping explained with a smile, and while the others didn't know, Qiping knew Jingang's true nature.
Kate and her family were taken aback, looking at the apples in everyone's hands, indeed one each. Then they looked at Jingang, who was eating enthusiastically by the fruit plate, and the remaining fruits were indeed his favorite bananas.
This made Kate and her family laugh. Jingang, this cunning little guy, was indeed very smart and cute. Everyone had been fooled; he wasn't polite, but rather very greedy, successfully monopolizing the most delicious bananas.
Although he saw everyone smiling at him, Jingang slightly lifted his head and bared his teeth, just to acknowledge it. Eating bananas in large bites was the most important thing, and this was very important.
"At home, I limit his fruit intake every day. You might not know, but he is only equivalent to a baby less than a year old. He needs more milk and dairy products. Recently, my business partners and friends visited, so he learned this, and he started sharing fruits with everyone, then he could monopolize the most of his favorite fruits." Looking at Jingang's cute appearance, Qiping explained with a smile.
"Wow, Jingang is really smart and cute. Buddy, I suddenly want to raise a chimpanzee too; but I know I can't afford it, and not every chimpanzee is as smart and cute as Jingang." Joshua was a bit regretful. Jingang was indeed very smart, but such a smart chimpanzee was rare.
"Indeed, we must admit that Jingang is very smart, but we all know that not every chimpanzee is as smart and cute as Jingang. However, I am very proud, not just of Jingang, but also of his friends, who are all very smart." Qiping was still very proud and boastful. Jingang was just one representative of intelligence.
"Do you raise other chimpanzees?" Kate's eyes widened; she found it hard to believe. One chimpanzee was already rare, and if there were more, it would be crazy.
"No, I only have Jingang the chimpanzee. But I have four cute and brave dogs, not Chihuahuas, but excellent sheepdogs, and they are very smart. I also have two cute little parrots, who are just growing up, though they are still small. As for my little foal, well, that guy is still a bit young, but he and I get along very well." Qiping was very proud and began to talk non-stop.
"Wow, that's great. I think a man should like brave and strong hunting dogs, not those pampered pet dogs. Buddy, you did a good job. You are a forest owner, and you need to make your forest safer. I think if your sheepdogs are as smart as Jingang, you can sleep soundly." Eric, the retired Air Force, was very manly and didn't seem to care much about pet dogs. Although he was a flower farmer, growing flowers was just a means to earn a living, not a sign of romance.
"I agree. I need brave and efficient sheepdogs. Of course, they are not just for work; they are also my good friends, like Jingang." Qiping said proudly, and he really liked the four little guys. "They are very smart, and I can guarantee you won't find smarter sheepdogs than them, even though they are not yet six months old. Intelligence is not related to age."
"Okay, I know your partners are the smartest, but Qiping, you need to prove it to me. I might have some free time in a couple of days. Can I visit your forest? I really want to see the forest everyone envies, and I want to see your smart partners." Kate suddenly spoke, although it might be a bit impolite, but seeing Jingang eating bananas with relish, she felt it was worth it.
"Welcome, warmly welcome! I love having friends visit my forest!" Qiping suddenly felt this was a great start, and it opened up many possibilities.
"I want to go too, Qiping, can I? You can go on a date, and I won't bother you." Joshua chimed in, the classic third wheel, completely ruining the atmosphere. Qiping now had no time for such thoughts; dealing with this third wheel was the priority.
