Chapter 48

Qiping proudly posted beautiful photos of his forest farm in his album, and he was becoming increasingly pleased with himself because his forest farm was truly becoming more and more beautiful.

"Rich guy, you're just showing off to make us jealous!" His college friend, Xu Xiang, seemed to be a night owl. Considering the time difference, it should have been the middle of the night in China, but this guy was still online. "You just posted photos of your new car a few days ago, and now it's guns and pets. You're really making us hate you!"

"What I'm doing is sharing beautiful things with everyone. This is my forest farm. It's just starting out, and there's still a lot to be done. You're all witnessing the birth of a paradise on earth, which should be a happy thing." Chatting and joking with old friends was always a pleasant experience, especially since he was now in a foreign country and often had to communicate through the internet.

The group chat was usually quite quiet, but suddenly a bunch of lurkers popped up. Most of them were criticizing Qiping, but there were also some asking about his life. Overall, it was quite interesting. Although they rarely got together in person, the internet still allowed them to stay connected.

"I'll send you more photos in a couple of days. Now I'm going to groom my horse. My horse needs some care. By the way, I'm planting a lawn in front of my house, and it will look better and better in the future!" After his arrogant display, Qiping received a screen full of bloody knives. His classmates couldn't stand his flaunting.

Opening the stable, Heitan (Black Coal) wobbled out and affectionately rubbed against Qiping. This little horse not only got along well with Qiping but also had a lot of spirit. Qiping felt he had really hit the jackpot. Although Heitan might not be a thousand-mile horse, it was a spirited and valuable steed.

The workers were also getting busy. The lawn in front of Qiping's house needed some watering to grow properly, even with the abundant spiritual energy here. An irrigation system was the best solution for the lawn.

Not only the lawn in front of the house needed it, but the orchard also required an irrigation system. So, even though Qiping had made some money recently, he didn't have much in savings because there were many expenses.

But it was all worth it, as it was an investment.

"You're so lucky, eating fruit as soon as you wake up." Seeing Jingang (Diamond) run over, Qiping smiled. Jingang, munching on an apple, was in a great mood. His sleep quality was excellent, not just because of the abundant spiritual energy at home, but also because he, like his big brother Qiping, was carefree and playful.

Rubbing his belly, Jingang seemed to indicate that he was hungry. He opened his mouth wide and showed an exaggerated smile, signaling that it was breakfast time.

Alright, Qiping felt he couldn't be lazy now. In fact, he wasn't being lazy. He didn't oversleep. After getting up, he washed up, chatted briefly with his classmates on QQ, groomed his horse, and did some morning exercises. These were all things he should do.

However, it seemed that Qiping was really short on time because he had a lot to do. He decided to make breakfast first. Not only was Jingang hungry, but Qiping also needed to replenish his nutrients. Breakfast was important and couldn't be skipped.

"Go help me feed Liangshanbo and Zhu Yingtai. I have some chopped apples and pears, and a few fresh petals." Handing the small food box to Jingang, Qiping knew Jingang understood. Although Jingang and the parrots often seemed like enemies, they could be friendly at times.

Originally, Qiping planned to carry the food box with both hands, but he found it inconvenient. So, he held the box with one hand, and Jingang quickly climbed over. Liangshanbo and Zhu Yingtai were already waiting, having jumped down from their nest to start eating. Parrots have a large appetite.

Seeing Jingang gently pet the two parrots, Qiping smiled. These little guys were getting along for now.

Jingang, as usual, climbed onto his special seat and prepared to eat. Dongnanxibei (East, South, West, North) were also waiting, gathered around the dining table. Their bowls needed to be filled. Liangshanbo and Zhu Yingtai, having simpler food, were already standing on the sofa, striking cool poses, even if it was just for show.

It was a busy but fulfilling morning. Qiping enjoyed his mornings. Every day was beautiful and meaningful for him now. He cherished his current life and believed it would only get better.

"Are you at home? We're almost there." Receiving Luo Yi's call, it seemed this guy had set out from Los Angeles early in the morning, or he wouldn't have arrived in La Mesa so quickly.

"I'm in the vegetable garden behind the house. You can come in; I won't cause any trouble." Qiping said casually. There was no need to be formal with Luo Yi.

Although he said that, Qiping couldn't really be rude. If it was just Luo Yi, he would have stayed in the garden and let Luo Yi find him. But with guests, he needed to be more welcoming to show respect and sincerity.

In the U.S., if you want to visit someone's home, you must call first to make an appointment. Luo Yi's call was to confirm, as he knew Qiping wasn't always at home. Qiping's forest farm was quite large, and he might be out for a walk or a stroll. It didn't matter if it was just him, but with guests, he couldn't be too impolite.

Dongnanxibei were still running around carefree. Jingang, having eaten and drunk his fill, was now energetic and running around with them. Some of his habits couldn't be changed, even though there was plenty of good food at home, he still liked to eat small insects sometimes.

"Hello." Seeing a grand Ford Expedition pull up to his house, Qiping greeted the guests warmly. "Welcome. I'm Qiping, you can call me Qi."

"Hi, I'm Wayne Todd. This is my wife, Catherine, and my son, Jason, and daughter, Laura." A well-mannered middle-aged man got out of the car, the kind who looked successful.

Americans are generally outgoing, sociable, and informal. They don't always shake hands on first meeting; sometimes a smile and a "Hi" or "Hello" is enough.

Qiping smiled and greeted the Todd family, also accepting the small gift Wayne brought. This was a courtesy; when visiting someone's home, it's customary to bring a small gift, not necessarily expensive, but as a sign of respect and sincerity.

"Qi, is that gorilla your pet?" Jason and Laura were both young, under ten years old. Little Laura, in particular, was a beautiful and adorable little girl.

"Its name is Jingang. It's a friendly guy. It's not my pet; it's my good friend and brother. I'm actually its big brother. I think you should say hello to it; it will welcome you warmly." Seeing the little ones immediately drawn to Jingang sitting in the messy grass, Qiping smiled.

"Jingang, hello. I'm Jason Todd, and this is my sister, Laura. Can we be friends?" Although still a bit scared, encouraged by Qiping, nine-year-old Jason, holding his five-year-old sister, couldn't resist the curiosity and excitement and started to greet Jingang.
